there is no official date but, as above it is expected to come out in Q2 or Q3 of 2008. Basically around late spring or early summer. If you think about it, TBC is not even a year old. Generally, even a company as big as blizzard, you would give each expansion about a year before the next. Torrential
EQ expansions were every six months for several years.
One of the big reasons I never bothered to try that game, catching up 7 expansions is just ridiculous :S

I do not understand your reasoning. Do you like expansions or don't you?
If you are worried about money, you can get ALL but the last one in one package for $20.
BLizz is going to hold on this one until they see the impact of WAR or AOC. If all is well then why pull out the big guns. If those games dig into subs then I am sure LK will be put out quickly.

The problem with the EQ expansions was that they were gated. That means that a lot of the promised content wasn't available at the time it was released. They would use the money from the sales of the expansion to finish it. I'd rather wait a bit and get everything I paid for from a finished expasnion.

All this "it will be q2-q3"or "q4-2009"is all hearsay,Blizzard have said time and again"it will be out when it is ready"end of and no room to discuss,That message says it all.
Blizzard have no idea. The decision when to release will be Vivendi's alone. Blizzard may know when they will, or have completed the work, but they will be unable to say the release date, because no one will tell them in case they blab.

Yep, gated is the word to decribe how SOE does it's expansions. They sell a product that is partially complete and use the subscription fees to pay for the rest.

Yeah, Blizzard completing the work prior to it being released by Vivendi would probably be a good idea.
