The expansion release was an utter disaster, and the new graphics engine has nauseating performance. I have a 7-grand gaming system and I can't even run it with decent settings. Not to mention the models only look slightly better.
Without the graphics update, this patch is simply a few more ships, minor features, and a few fixes. Anyone else disappointed?
Just reading around the main forums I've concluding that everyone is pissed.

7 grand gaming machine? what the bloody hell did you buy? Seriously. I mean, alienwares can get pretty pricey, but then again, you are playing like double for the name. I'm running a core 2 duo, 8600GT and two gigs of ram and it runs beautifully at 1280x1024 (native for my 19").
What did you expect them to have? Trinity (without the graphics) is similar in size to there other expansions. Considering you aren't paying a dime for these, you can hardly complain.
I switched off once you said 7K system......
I would say the real disaster is your avatar. How much did you pay for it?
lol 7 grand..
Trinity runs swell for me with a little tweaking and my system is 3 years old. Sorry, but Trinity is not "teh suck", and not "everyone" is pissed about it. I've been playing for 2 1/2 years and this is by far my favorite upgrade, besides the gallente paintjob.
Waiting for Fallen Earth, World of Darkness, Old Republic, FFXIV
Is this guy for real?
I bet he has shadows set to Extreme.

Lol @ 7k system...
Trinity looks great on my 3800+ X2, with my 7600GT and only lags when I'm near Jita and runs between 40 and 60 FPS all the time
7k system? they saw you coming my friend
50 fps in a fricken FLEETBATTLE with the new Engine. It just ROCKS
I guess I would be upset as well if I paid $7k for a gaming computer with issues and can't find a game to enjoy it on.

My gaming computer runs nicely with the game at around 60fps average. It is only a 2 year old p4,3ghz HT with 3gig ram I bought refurbished for under $1k and an 8 series card($300) I bought this year along with a refurbished 2407wfp-hc 24 inch($320).
I think I will add $7k to my retirement savings this week.
I have a brand spankin new 1600$ homebuilt gaming machine consisting of:
2.4ghz quad core
4 gigs of ram (thoughb only 2.78 are useable in my 32bit vista/xp)
8800gtx
I am not up there enough to participate in fleet battles, but the worst fps drop ive had with everything on max in a busy station, was down to 60ish fps from about 80-90 average i run at (100+ in lonely desolate areas)
Lick Here you could be one of the lucky 10!!!
lol poorest attempt at trolling ever!
I built myself a $500 buck computer (thats right...$500)
AMD 4200+ X2 Dual Core
2gig 667mhz ram
win xp pro
x1600 pro 512 vid card
and i get 40fps with medium graphics and low hdr in Perimeter System atm
I doubt that's it. I have everything at max (Extreme Shadow Quality, Extreme Cache Size, High Bloom Effects, 24-bit color depth, 32-bit z-buffer, the whole shebang, and I actually seem to be running smoother now than before the update. Go figure. Maybe the update caused a problem for a specific piece of hardware or something, because it doesn't appear to be a universal problem.
I have a AMD Athlon 2500+ with a gig of ram and a Nvidia 6600 card.
I didn't even expect to be able to play with the new features and while it's a little choppy at times (mostly when looking at stations) it is an acceptable frame rate most of the time with normal shadows and no HDRI.
I'm very glad I can enjoy the new art. Certainly a good expansion.

Yea i just remember that a few days ago a guy came here with something similar and later he found it was because he had shadows set to extreme.
Tho i do agree with most of the replies concerning the possable trolling.
Afterall 7k??????
For a COMPUTER.

apparently you are a retard, and dont know how to buy a computer(or are a liar)...you paid 7k...FOR WHAT? i have a 2 year old computer, that cost maybe 750 dollars to build, and i run trinity on max settings and didnt notice any difference from the original. im running an amd64 3200+ 2gb ram and a 256mb 6800gt (p.s. you could probably build this system for around $400 now, lol).
It's an absolute guarantee that anyone who pays 7 grand for a PC will suffer from PIBCAK while using it.

I assume the OP means 7 thousand Yen?
probably some WoW kiddie who's parents lied to him that they got him a 7k $ comp soo he would stop crying everytime he lost in a duel. And if the OP isnt ... than I would like to congratulate the person that scammed him.
£7000 machine lol, You can self build a system that is comparable to the top end alienware and beast machines for around £800-1000.
The machine you could build for seven grand would be pretty damn awesome.
Currently playing:
EVE online (Ruining low sec one hotdrop at a time)
Gravity Rush,
Dishonoured: The Knife of Dunwall.
(Waiting for) Metro: Last Light,
Company of Heroes II.
It's possible it's not actually a computer. Maybe he thought he was buying a computer, but actually got a used Volkswagen. While he thinks he's lagging in EVE, he's actually stuck in gridlock. Reality check for everyone:
If bump-harassing freighters keeps landing you in traction, you might be "flying" a Subaru!
If it's taking you weeks to move all that "pyrox" from station to station because your hatchback only holds three cubic feet, you might be flying a Volvo!
If sending your "drones" after enemy "frigates" gets you ticketed for littering, you might by flying a Plymouth!
If "gate camping" gets you cited for....(this could go on all day, so I'll just leave it to your imagination and quit while I'm behind).
First, either learn to build your own comp, or don't buy shit unless someone knowledgeable is with you. 7k for a computer better have come with a big jar of vaseline.
Second, if you really paid 7k for a comp and you can't run Eve with decent settings, I suggest you stop posting here and start suing the place you bought the comp from.
I would LOVE to see what this $7k rig stats are......
10:1 odds he got ripped off and could be built for 1/2 the price or less
AMD 3200 6200 LE vid card 1 gig of Ram Trinity actually runs better than the old engine I now have around 50 fps pretty much anywhere no lag. You might want to consider giving up PC games and trying a console.. I think the issue is between the seat and keyboard.
Ok so i guess if he went and got a http://www.voodoopc.com/transactions/qksummarynew.aspx?Qsessid=afa098ed-363a-4eeb-b9d4-74396708d9c5
That would be almost a 10k machine, but even if he bought a brand new voodoopc 3 years ago it would run this new eve expansion without a hitch. But you can get everything on that list except the fancy logo case at www.tigerdirect.com or at www.newegg.com and put that comp together for probably about 2500.
