And heres a poll just for my amusment...
Its Sci-Fi heavy because Im SICK of fantasy MMORPGs but if if your not, feel free to add a fantasy poll
Or another poll with some titles you would like to see.

OOOOOOOO BLADERUNNER might be cool too.
Chrono Trigger tbh.
MMO migrant.
But are the Asian bicycle gangs NPC or PC?
Out of all those i picked BSG, cause it's got a great setting, and the opportunity for some cool features like insurgency. Firefly is still my #1 choice above all though.
Agree, kinda overshadowed by FFs, but imo one of the best SNES games or jRPGs ever. World very well suited for MMO. Make Nobuo Uematsu compose the music and it would make 1st MMO where I dont turn the music off in favor of mp3s.
Subscribtions: EVE, SWTOR WOW, WAR, DDO, VG, AOC, COV, FFXI, GW, RFO, Aion
+plenty of F2P, betas, trials
Female Dwarf player: WOW, VG, WAR, DDO
.
Due to the recent economic crisis and spending cuts the light at the end of the tunnel was turned off. Sincerely, God.
Vampire: The Masquerade.

WoW and fast food = commercial successes.
I neither play WoW nor eat fast food.
But are the Asian bicycle gangs NPC or PC?
LOL either one, I emphasize "DREAM" mmorpg. I mean I was even thinking Transformers lol.Ya know what else might be cool as silly as it sounds is Titan A.E. I really thinking about stories that have a really BIG world to play in.
Almost put Firefly in there too I think that might be a good one too.
Id love to see a RIFTs mmorpg, but hell half these people have probably never even heard of rifts but that has to be one of my alltime favorite settings for any roleplaying game. Im sick of fantasy games myself, it all seems the same thing over and over after a while being beat into the ground. Ive noticed alot of the newer albeit still fantasy based games are at least becoming a little more creative and its not all elves dwarves trolls and goblins etc. My whole reason for playing these games is to see the sites and experience what it might be like to live in one of these worlds, but damn how many different kinds of elves and gnomes can there be ffs lol. Great poll options hopefully one day some of these will come to fruition.
I was just discussing this today....
I really want an MMO to offer me more than just a carrot on a stick as my motivation to play. These designers are hung up on the quest for loot style of MMO and for those of us who want more than that the market is a barren wasteland of nothingness.
I think only by adding more meaningful PVP will there ever be any real immersion in a game world. Whatever game it is that you play it likely revolves around 2 or more factions struggling against one another for dominance that game mechanics prevent both o them from acheiving even the semblance of actual victory.
Here is the bottom line. Let guilds build fortified player cities guarded by elite factional NPCs and equiped wih proper defenses like turrets and catapults or what have you. Make these player structures vulnerable to permanent damage player houses and all. Allow these to be attacked by the opposing factions and if the players who inhabit this city do not turn up to defend it then when all of the NPCs and automated defenses are defeated the city and houses are destroyed along with whatever was in them and the land is conquered and repopulated with the opposing factions NPCs meaning the losers must assemble a force and reclaim it by siege or forfeit it to the enemy.
That would make the game more interesting, challenging and immersive. People would stop worrying about levels and gear because they would be actively participating in a war.
Critical thinking is a desire to seek, patience to doubt, fondness to meditate, slowness to assert, readiness to consider, carefulness to dispose and set in order; and hatred for every kind of imposture.
I would love to see a game where you take Darkfalls ruleset and put it into the Warhammer world (40k or FB, doesn't matter)
Well i would like to see a new game with EQs exact ruleset but on a new world with some different races.
But that isnt what this poll is about i guess. So i picked Shadowrun. I have no idea why a major mmo has not been made off Shadowrun yet because it would be awesome. Of course they would have to do it well and that probably wouldnt happen.
I'm sorry but i LOVE fantasy so my true desire is a dragon based MMO like a WOW with pet dragons property ownership and a million more proffesions.
Chuck norris' left shoe is Santa.
As an avid fantasy reader I would absolutely love to see a game set in the world of George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire that takes place in the time frame after the books are complete. I would want it to be a true sandbox MMORPG with the grit, gore, deception, and all the other adult content that really makes the series truly immersing.
... - ..-. ..-
I'd like a "24" MMORPG, please.
But since it's not on the menu, I'll have a Battlestar Galactica without the lag on it please.
#1 RIFTS
#2 SHADOWRUN
#3 CYBERPUNK
#4 UNDERWORLD
#5 ALIEN
I voted RIFTS #1, this is my Top 5. Ive never understood why RIFTS has never been made into a mmorpg. Its got everything you would ever want in a gaming world. It is definately my favorite PnP of all time.
I voted Battlestar Galactica, but I am not sure how massive it could really be. I would want to be a pilot, and they can't have too many Vipers left at this point.
On the other hand if we are looking for a SciFi MMO, I am partial to the Wing Command (aka Privateer), and Mech Warrior series of games. Both tried for MMO titles and were cancelled, by the same company... good old EA. I would still love to see them though, an updated version would be even better.
My dream mmorpg is one with cutscenes, voice acting, secrets, massive worlds, many things to do, and fun combat. You see many single player rpgs with cutscenes and a real story but never any mmorpgs. How hard would it really be to hire some voice actors so quests are more than just text? Why don't they ever add secrets to mmos? I would like to see lots of secrets that can only be found through exploration and puzzles/riddles to find them. You could even make some very hard to find and solve. I mean, my dream mmorpg would have the fun of a single player rpg. Honestly, it seems like most mmo developers these days think the only way to keep a customer is to make it take hundreds of hours to level with no good content in between. I'm starting to think they don't include any decent content because it's online and players can make up for that. Go play a single player game with nothing to do but grind, grind, grind, and see the reviews that sucker would get.
Once again, "DREAM" MMORPG. I just put alot of sci-fi because I PERSONALLY am tired of fantasy MMOs. I know what you mean about EQs ruleset tho, I love the game just got tired of playing it. If I could Play like RIFTS for example with EQ2s rules I would be in heaven.
Someone with alot of knowledge of fantasy post a fantasy poll, Im just not the guy to do it LOL
Well I dont think secrets last very long in an MMORPG (Think the way of the Jedi Pre-CU) However they might make such things random I guess. But your right about an MMO as a single player game LOL. I think we all play these games because we like making friends and socializing without leaving the house LOL.
YESSSSS! 24! That would be great!
Bless the Maker and all His Water. Bless the coming and going of Him, May His passing cleanse the world. May He keep the world for his people.
You know i was thinking about the rifts idea, man thatd really seriously be so damn awesome but the problem would be i think theres just SO MUCH content in the game world they couldnt fit it all. Maybe if they did it how they did the game books and release a billion expansions for it lol. Another really awesome game i remember by palladium was nightbane or nightspawn originally i think it was called but anyways you could make your own monster sort of a mix and match of powers and appearance, sort of like city of heroes character gen but a hundred times more detailed.
Im glad to see too a fellow old school pen and paper roleplayer here as well. I havent gamed in forever but i got a lot of fond memories of playing rifts.
While im thinking about it a call of cthulhu type game set in the future would be pretty awesome too. Maybe have aliens and demons and the remnants of humanity fighting for earths survival, would be great to see a huge battle mech fighting this big 40ft tall demon and then an alien ship flys by and torches them both lol.,
I think the thing that appealed so much to me about rifts was it was multi genre and not fantasy sci fi or horror but a mix of all three.
Anyways just some more random thoughts
