As for going to a Warhammer table top forum, not likely to happen, I play games which makes me a geek, but I'm never going down that road. (there are levels of geekdom, afterall, and I'm sort of a mini-geek I guess)
And what road is that? I play the warhammer and several d20 games. so am i supposed to look like this?

Hey when did you get that picture of me! Are you stalking me?
lol I agree with you, just because people play TT or RP games doesn't mean they are geeks. One of my friends I play WH40K against is a cop and he looks like Stallone on steroids(yeah even more steroids than the orginal have in him). Another one have his own telemarketing company. Ok he looks a little geeky . But all the people I play against is 25-40 years old and of the 10 people only 10% is a geek. 10% = Me
By the way... the dwarf beard growing thing sounds really cool. I hope the eleven ears will grow so tall you see them in the horizon over the tree tops.
Hey guys, just playing MMORPG's puts all of us in the "geek" category, and playing table top games with miniatures just amplifies your standing. Geeks don't have a particular appearance, or profession, its all about their behavior. Learn to wear your geek badge with pride and honor.
As I mentioned before, as near as I can tell, what I requested (short stylized beards) does not appear to be outside the lore, at least from the pictures and miniature models that I was able to research. (however the text that I read clearly states that dwarves don't cut their beards) Blame the inconsistency of the folks who came up with the short bearded models, not me.
But hey, Mythic appears to have implemented a system of ever growing beards, so be it. I alway deal with games they way the are built, and don't waste a moments time arguing with developers about how they should build their game.
As I think I mentioned way back in my first post, I'm going to probably focus on a race other than dwarfs due to this (unless I find out that dwarfs come with an automatic "I-win" button). For some reason I got mocked for my decision hence the long posts since then.

I think I understand what you wanted to say with your post.
You did not want a beard to look like this?
Because that hides the shiny armor underneath.
But you are ok with the beard to look like this?
Because its more stylish and not in the way.
You didnt want the dwarfs shaved.
Sorry if you took my post as a mock... I hope it wasnt. Because I like my fellow posters here on MMORPG.com. And all should have the right to post whats on their mind(as long it isnt trolling or insults.).
In a game of AD&D I played a dwarf in the Birthright world. He was a blooded, battlerager, dwarf, shaved head and beard with a handlebar mustache. Covered head to toes with dwaven rune tatoos. I role played him as one bad a$$ mother. Noone ever twice gave him guff for not having a beard. The common Birthright dwarf had a short cut beard and on the whole kind of wimpy. As I said common, but anyone who would take up his weapon and travel the world is definitely uncommon. It was my choice not to have a beard, mine. Any game that doesn't give you a choice is closed minded. If we want to talk about lore how about the one about elves not having clerics, kind of like dwarves not having magic-users. I think the key word here is fantasy, ie anything goes and should.

What a stupid discussion.
If you don't want the damn beard - don't play a dwarf.
