Personally I like it. I played EQ for 3+ years and was tired of trying out new games only to be served something 'sorta kinda' like EQ but never measured up. CoH doesn't even pretend to do that, which is very refreshing. CoH isn't even claiming that you will play there game for years, hell most single player games have 60 hours max on them.
Maybe the problem with everything lately is that we expect 3 years of gameplay from games coming out. Why not expect 60 hours for your 40 bucks and be happy? I know I used to be, and I'm trying to final that normal level of playing again..

Oh, and about my friend getting in trouble for taking back the game. Well, are you like um five years old? This is the United States of America, we have people that manage stores, they can make decisions and they can call in for returns. If you knew anything about how thinks can work everything in our Country isn't just black and white of how you jsut want to see it. Their are shades of grey and obviously you are very unexperienced in the work force or just still a little kid begging a store clerk to take back your CoH cause it sucks so much. Ahem, their are MANY reasons why a CD can be taken back to a store and with a full refund, but I guess you just have to know the right people and be a cool guy like me. Obviously it seems you are just a follower in life and probably walk on the pant legs of others to annoy the shit out of them. Now go back to your SUPERFRIENDS dream of being SHAZAM or Flash Gordon you little puke.

Hercules, that is one of the most routine excuses I and others hear WAY too often. You just want us all to get addited to smelling dogcrap huh? Sorry, it doesn't take me as long as you to gain power in games. I don't have to see EVERY element in the game before I can decide that I saw enough. Put it this way, if I am constantly curling up my nose and look at my monitor in a puzzled look and say to my self WTF more than 3-5 times within 20 minutes then usually I start to spend more time trying to find a way to log out and uninstalling the stupid game. Hearing what others are saying in the game and to add on to more ppl spamming the chat telling all to go vote at mmorpg if they want the game to get more content?
Final note. If you think you have to play a game for a long period of time to gain a feel if it is entertaining to you, you got to be nuts. How long do you have to stare at a gun to realize you are about to die because the barrel is in your face? Anyone that says you have to spend more time to get to know if you like something or not (excluding betas) are uaually people that are so bored with life in general they will take anything as long as it gives them something to do. Like a guy that has sex with a very obese woman and when you look at him (like you are smelling dogcrap) after he tells you what he did. He just says, hey dude poon is poon.
I really dont know what I was thinking when I bought it. I wanted to be feared and respected I guess. Too bad PvP wont be for awhile. Im seriously probbaly going to sell the level 23 scrapper on ebay. First time I ever came down to selling anything I bought. I just want my money back.

Lets not just insult a game that we don't like and played for only 2 hours, but insult those who play it and like it. Sounds about as immature as those you acuse are playing it.
It's not a great game, for sure it lacks variety and content that many have mentioned. What you have to appreciate here is that the developers went out on a limb here. Some absolutely love creating and playing a hero of their dreams. They really hit the mark on their vision of a comic book hero game. They also did a good job on their direction of stripping down the mmorpg and sticking with the good stuff for most.
I am not crazy about the lack of depth. But I do admit the game is fun even if it is a bit repetitive. Its a game, its fun, so what. If its not fun, move on.
If nothing else to people that don't like the game they should see possible new directions for mmorpg's.
Alright i got this game when it was new. I liked it at first the tons of variety of costumes etc...even when i started out I really liked the way the playing system worked.
Now im not a noob in MMOs so i new that this game was ok. I played it for a good long time and got my Martial Arts / Super Reflexs guy up to lv23 before i decided taht this game is not going anywhere. I was just hoping i could find a game that could keep me interested and addicted to the game. Yet I was tired of just getting enhancments rather than singling my character out from everyone else. The only difference with people was costumns...really nothing else was different. Sure there was different classes and arch types.
It just got reptitive and i couldnt stand it anymore. The same thing day in and day out. Wake up...log on...fight same mobs....go to different cities but same type of layout...do missions that are teh same thing....search & rescue, or kill all baddies, or even worse kill the 25 somethings.....
I was looking forward to this game...now that ive played it....i feel like i was cheated out of a good experience.
