Yea it is cool to do what I love and my passion is games lol and really I wasnt trashing COH i love the graphics and the chacter creation was the best I have seen in a game but I am not a story guy I like killing or building and the once and a while chance I may catch someone to own . It was good to get away from EQ though it made me realize how much I missed it and the friends and guild I had made in 5 yrs .

In ALL MMORPGS YOU KILL CLUMPS OF MOBS......you most really not play mmorpgs man.......all yo udo in them is kill...craft...quest...killing while doing the quest....killing while trying to get the materials to craft......and kill.....even at times unless in a safe area you kill during your down time.....
I guess you've never played EVE-Online I have to admit this game does sound very monotonous.

Anyone that thinks mining is the only thing you can do in EVE is either shallow in having tried it and not having understood, or they simply havn't tried it and were as smart as to base a judgement on something they havn't tried. I have played EVE its graphics are great I dont care for the point and click movement but the game play is good and it game it self has content and its not just killing mobs .

I liked Eve also and only left because all my friends left. Mining was not my favorite thing to do though so I mostly did agent running. Didn't do a whole lot of pvp either since the biggest ship I got to before I left was a Bellicose.
All i can say is let COH evolve. I like the game and been playing since beta. I like it much better then SWG and EQ (SWG is farming for minerials fun?). My only gripe is powers. You should be able to fine tune them more (not with just enhancements) and more of them.
If all you like is D&D kinda games then COH is not for you. If you played marvel heroes or DC heroes when you were a kid. This game is for you.
I am looking foward to COV to kill the people that annoy me and become a viillian (you have people the annoy you and all these kinda games)

No mining wasnt fun but once you got deep crust extractors up it became fun than you just sat back and collected you 5k recsources daily. There wes much more to do than just mine. The game wasn't the worst I have played but it was far from the best but I like alot of the aspects the dancing , musical abilitys, and the different crafting. It was good for a change from the same old thing.

Oh for the love of...STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT CITY OF HEROES! If any thing its refreshing to play a MMORPG where I don't have to spend hours upon hours trying to find a freakin' sword so I would die as soon as I leave the freakin' town! Oh, and not to mention...NO TOWNS! The whole game is just one large city, so you won't spend hours trying to get from Town A to Town B. Am I the only one who enjoyed this?! And the missions ARE quest! And with City of Villains coming out, well, that just gives you MORE of a reason to enjoy this game! Quit bitchin' and start enjoying it. Its not EverQuest...Its better! And did I mention how it dosn't look like TRASH, unlike some games...*glares at RYL, EverQuest, and The Sims Online*

Nice apparently you are new to gaming or just mmorpgs in general see what make the mmorpg is the city is the traveling its called exploration oh yea forgot you play COH where its city after city and mob after mob .

I got bored of this game roughly 6 hours into Beta., Character customization is the only thing this game has going for it, after that go read an actual comic book and fire up another MMO. My reccomendation is to stay away from this unless you are solely in it because of the Super Hero genre.

Yes I am judging this game based on 6 hours of gameplay. The game was complete in the final Beta stages and it was hella boring, I had a lot of friends try the game out after public release and the verdict was the same. I have Beta tested several MMO's and did not feel this game deserved any of my $'s . The 6 hours I played is a very good indication of whether or not you want to log back in or not and I for one did not. I have played other more non-linear MMO's where I could not wait to log back on, but the "more of the same" content over and over was and is a huge lag pit for this game in my opinion. So unless the game has changed from

As Otlano has stated above and has hammered me on this for at least a week now this game has content you just have to read it and its a very big rp game you have to roleplay your chacter according to the story its a comic book and for us who are use to living the game by exploring , camping , hunting , and crafting this is not for you. This is a game for casual players not power levelers you will get bord .

Thank you goliath. He is obviously not reading the missions because that is not how they go. If you reduced all quests/missions/tasks in all the mmorgps like he is doing with CoH's missions, all you get is "go kill this stuff and get items then rinse and repeat." At least CoH has story content in these missions then the rest but its pointless if you don't read they missions. Yes the first few levels, your missions are going to be a little bland but they pick up around 5th level.
There is alot to do in this game, whether you see it or not. In general, yes, this game is more for the casual gamer, but that does not mean a hardcore player cannot enjoy it as well. You need to make your own content, whether it be by provoking mobs and setting up a huge battle or playing hide and seek for influence with the lower levels or even setting up a race. There is alot of stuff you can do, these things may not be fun for everyone, but they are for me, and for the thousands of other people that dont waist there times on the boards becuase they are having too much fun enjoying the game. Even before the patch when I was 40 I STILL was able to enjoy the game for many hours a day, if you cant find something to do, thats a personal problem. You are no loss the the community, no one will miss you, theres no need for you to go bashing CoH based apon your personal opinion because most of the people that enjoy the game wont even read what you have to say you will just be feeding your crap to others who feel the same way as you do to begin with.

CoH is lame, it is boooring. I betad for a few months, and for some unknown reason continued playing after release, giving those bastards some more of my hard earned $$. This was probably cuz a bunch o my friends were playin it. Then one day I was like wait just a minute here. What I am doing right now in this stupid game is the exact same thing I have been doing since I created my character. Character customization being the only thing this game has going for it. Sure, you can read all of the stupid missions, and call it content but it all boils down to this. I do not play any Fantasy MMos as they have grown old, though I do plan on checkin out WoW. Currently I play Eve, it is kickass, I love it, tons to do, very deep, involved game. It has plot, crafting, quests, PvP (lock n load style), in short, it pwns. ***********WARNING SPOILERS DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE GONNA PLAY THIS CRAPY GAME***********
