I hope I'm first to find it & post it but here's links to the full resolution versions of the photos from Warhammer Vault. Brand new from EA Mythic. They're pretty badass with the lighting & shadows on.

You can see the grit on his shield, the sword is just bad ass looking. Seriously the Chosen hehe nice!

The pictures look neat. I love the detail on the armor and the weapons, though the surroundings could be a bit more detiled. Still looks great.

Wow those are very nice screens. Loved the first one. Though I have to agree the purple boots are bleh...
I'm not liking the graphics in those screenshots.
I got to agree with stumps. Graphic wise its lacking, but that doesn't really affect me. As long as it doesnt look like its a korean MMORPG thats an item mall; Im fine with it. WoW looked worse and I still had a fun time with it. Its the gameplay that sells.
Seems like they improved graphics, cuz the videos and some older screenshots does not look as good. I wonder if they wil surprise us near open beta with more improved graphics.
wow those look great and they seem to be getting better with each beta phase .
The art style is nice and I believe my computer can run those graphics -- even with many players in one area -- without too much difficulty.
If the graphics are too high-end, you get a "Vanguard" ... and nobody wants that.
(Btw, the purple boots are one of those don't-ask-don't-tell things.)

i think the purple boots would look good on a caster (matches their spells). what i wanna see is a Bright wizard in all his crazy yellow/red/orange clothes
MMO wish list:
-Changeable worlds
-Solid non level based game
-Sharks with lasers attached to their heads
They are a step above WoW.. not equal to VG or LOTRO or AOC.. in fact, for everything else that has come out recently, WAR is lacking in graphics. I'm thinking that these screenshots aren't at max settings. I've seen better.

You've not really been keeping up with WAR have you? Its not supposed to be a High End Graphics game its supposed to actually work and support large amounts of players in the same area at once. You can't do that with Vanguard or Lord of the Rings (I was in Stress test and I remember what lots of players in one area was like Lag Fiesta!). As for Age of Conan its age of conan its supposed to look realistic. WAR looks like WAR..dark, grity but exaggerated with some good ol bits of british humor. And people wonder why we get so defensive. We wouldn't get defensive if you didn't look outside of WAR's goals. If they had high end super realistic bloody boob filled stuff in mind thats what they'd work to give us. (btw Vanguard may ahave pretty graphics but it runs like Crap even on fantastically built PC's, kind of a bad example don't you think?)

*can't comprehend why people bother saying stuff like this instead of judging it at its current stage* There is no cartoon shader thats the visual art style. Infact there's no such thing as a cartoon shader...cell shaders yes but not cartoon and cell shaders look like crap its why only a few shit console games use them.
Compared to some past screens I think it loosk great..I hate the purple boots but thats what armor dye is for.

I love the new screens.
WAR has always had a unique art style, but been lacking (at least from what they've released) in terms of overall "quality".
These pics are great because they show off the amazing art style, and also show what the game looks like all pumped up full of eye candy.
The truth is in how it looks in motion, and from all the videos I've seen of actual gameplay, it looks smooth, and the quality is definetly there.

Damn!! Who cares if the shading looks real or if the dirt on my shield looks right enough with the bullcrap and get the damn game on the shelves already.
To hell with polish on the stupid stuff that no one will be paying attention to when we are in real battle for crying out loud. Its great for awards and so forth but your average gamer is not going to even see or notice half of this little shading/lighting crap. Just get the game playable and stop worrying about stuff thats not going to make or break the game.
Yeh fantastic it looks good now get on with it and fix the crap not allowing it to ship and worrie about your graphical ego's later.
It's not like you are going to be looking at trees and stumps or dirt for that matter when I'm bashing your head in.
Second edit sry you will see the dirt when I'm done with you so get the dirt right as a lot of people will be looking at that.

Yeh but you have to look at the graphics all day so they are kinda important to me as I can't play a bland ugly game with no character, I want to feel attached to my character and love how it looks and love exploring.... can't do that if the graphics are bad.

They are playing it smart by making it accessible to a lot of people by not going into EQ2 or VG graphics. I like the way the game looks, those purple boots are a killer but whatever, I am sure there are some better boots out there and he only stumbled upon some awesome ugly ass ones.

People can be so critical about graphics. You have to balance performance with graphics, so when you have a 200 man conflict your computer doesn't explode.
