DAoC = dead game, its best years are behind it. I played it at its prime for a year.

Vanguard - way to incomplete. I played it for the last 6 months. It will never be fully realized as updates are to small and to few. They will not make any significant progress in the next year.

Lineage 2 - address the grind issue in Aug. Addressing the money issue in Aug with new "standard" items. The game  is still NCSofts main money maker and still has a huge amount of updates and expansions coming.

The bots are everywhere and in your face PREVENTING you from leveling. I liked Lineage 2 in the beginning but the bots and the community turned me off. More so the bots and the fact that all characters looked the same. I am ashamed to say i got to level 70 and actually earned my A grade legitimately. The PvP they are talking about is overrated because of the huge cost of losing xp.
I think casters wear robes of some sort.
About the other games, they have to be better than LIneage 2.

Note: I'm heavily biased against Lineage 2 and NCshit however I still remain factual :).

You said it pretty much the way i would say it.One other thing i might as is NCSOFT staff is just as bas as the game.I tried many times to help do my part to clean up the game, but there staff seemed more like making excuses to not ban any bots than trying to clean up there act.I wouldn't doubt for one second there is a lot of NC staff involved with RMT and make sure it stays safe in there game.Same experiece i had with codemasters games as well, just a totally inept staff.

Vanguard is a very good game with tons to do,however if you are like the many thousands of gamers that just wants to race level to level and not care about the rest of the content, then vanguard won't be it.I might also add that vanguard is a huge world with not many players, too bad really, it is a good game.

I wouldn't worry about DAOC's RvR (their version of pvp).  Just play on the cooperative server and you can avoid it altogether.  I never liked pvp and yet DAOC was the first game I reached max level in.

The problem with DAOC now is it's pretty empty.  It's easy to solo, sure, but if you like grouping and socializing, unless you find an active guild, you're going to be pretty lonely.

DAOC wizards don't have to be fire wizards.  Basically, you can specialize most DAOC classes in one of 3 ways:  offensive, defensive, or supportive.

Fire wizards are completely offensive.  They have the longest ranged and most damaging direct damage spells.  Ice wizards are defensive.  They have some nice damage spells, but focus more on crowd control.  Earth wizards are supportive with damage shields and buffs.  For a long time, earth wizards had damage problems, but I think they've given them better damage spells now.

The way you specialize a class in DAOC is to allocate at least 2/3 of your leveling points in one discipline.  So, if you want to solo a lot, fire will give you the most/fastest damage, but you're going to want some of the ice line roots and snares too.  A shield and/or buff from the earth line won't hurt either.  Ice wizards solo nicely also, but slower than a fire wizard.  If you try to divide your points evenly among the lines, you're not going to be very good at anything.  Your spells/skills won't be as strong as they should be and you'll run into problems.
