I believe its worth the money, but I would suggest anyone pre-ordering to look at the pre-order list and their bonus... This will make your CE even more worthy...

They are trying to get people to do it just for the mounts...especially since they are saying the larger sized mounts are going to be able to do more impressive things in combat...

It's kind of lame though for people who don't want to spend the extra money

No collectors edition is ever worth the money!  Those so called special mounts will become avail to everyone eventually in the game.  Or already will be near the cap for a price....its a retarded ploy to get more money from the players.

Actually CE mounts are unique, War Rhino & War Elephant, they have special skins and wont be purchable ingame for everyone.



Stats wise they should be equal, only looks would change!

So they say...name one MMO that offered something special in an CE or a pre-order bonus that didn't add it in later for everyone to acquire.   There are those that will complain and eventually  they will be avail to all....happens everytime!   So big deal u might be special for a few months, and all those ppl that didn't pay the extra $40 have the same thing.  In the end the devs ripped u outa $40 for nothing.

Kinda like RMT in reality....the devs are selling the consumers virtual items...

I actually remember reading somewhere that they are giving those rhinos and elephants special "size" bonuses...which like I said earlier, is lame for those of us who can't justify spending $90 on a game

I would probably consider it more deeply if they added another month of game play ontop of the first 30 days as well as the other things you get with it.  60 days of gameplay  as well as the items, and I think I could talk myself into the 90 bucks.

The sad thing to me is these collectors editions... are how "basic" games used to be sold.

I mean anyone here buy the Infocom games (Yes I know we are talking 20+ years ago)

Its a couple extra bucks... no big deal. Couple extra hours of work is nothing. If you say you can not work a few extra hours to get this then you really should not be playing a game... If you are just too cheap to buy it then thats your own deal. I for one already have the CE pre-ordered and am hoping for the best with the game.

I would add that, when purchasing a Collector Edition, if you really have hype for a game and really want it to have a good launch and a good continuity, aren't these few more bucks you spend on the game going back to the company? Then again, those who are short on money or simply are not ''That much'' into the game, can buy the regular edition and still enjoy the game.

 

In fact I believe that everything you get with a collector edition should ''Never!'' affect how good or strong you are ingame. Just give you a little exclusivity, but not so much

Chill out mate. If someone can afford the money, it's their right to spend it and it's also their right -not- to think that everything on that list is BS. Me for example, I like the Soundtrack and the Artbook you can get. Not to mention I'm pretty sure the 5 Free Guest Passes will come in rather handy. *shrugs*

No, definitely not worth it.  Everyone that pre-orders from Gamestop or Bestbuy gets a free mount.  Everyone that joins clan of conan gets the drinking cape.  So no point in paying extra $40 for a map IMO.

my first reaction is that it's waaaaay overpriced. i'm comparing this to other collector's editions for games. i make a pretty decent living, and i'm not even sure if i can justify paying this much, but i am considering it.

No it's not worth 90 bucks because

its just a few in-game item and some boks and a leather map, sure you get a mamoth but you get that even if you pre ordered the regular game for 40 bucks cheaper.

YES please, from what i've heard already.

$90 / £45 is regular from my experience, slightly more than say Guild Wars's version I paid for but im getting much more here.

Do I think its a good package? Yes. Is it worth $90? Not a chance in hell. But then again I'm less than shocked considering they're trying to play the game off as "premium" so they can charge an exorbitant monthly fee when I can't even see the appeal in what they're offering in the first place.
