    Id have to go with the 2h sword and the bow... the 2h swords look so bad ass especially when they are enchanted =D... bows are a no brainers cuz well guns just look funny =P

    I would almost say the exscat same thing, I dont really like guns b-cuz they arnt really traditional range weapon. In WC im use to useing bows, and sword. So thats what im going to go with when I play WOW.
    Ya, your also right about the enchanted swords, they look sooooo cool.

    Well depends the char

    Warrior-Sword Shield, 2 handed sword, dual wield swords.

    Rogue-Dual wield Daggers

    Paladin-2 handed Sword, sword shield

    Any mage type-Staff or dagger, for Priest I use 1 handed hammer and shield.....well thats what i did in EQ

    I would have to say for the warrior one handed sword and a shield. And for the Paladin I have no idea I'm thinking if you can duel wield with 2 1 handed swords ::::17::. For the ranged weapon I Would like to use a gun that seems cool to me ::::34::.

    I am going to use two handed daggers with my Troll Rogue for sure. I liked how Diablo2 LoD allowed you to switch between weapons you had equipped with the "W" key. So if WoW has something like that, I would use a Bow for RP purposes. I can't see a Troll using a gun unless it managed to raid a dwarven camp and stole then figured out how to use and reload the gun.

    Do you choose to specialize in a certain weapon type in WoW? Like 1h, 2h, etc or each type of wep?

    Spears... Pole arms, any sort of blade on the long end of a stick. =)

    My FAVORITE style of halberd. Fricking love it. Polearms weigh way less than most people assume they do, they also swing a lot faster than people realize, faster than an axe for sure.

    and the style and idea behind this one is very nice, though this one isn't combat ready, just for show.

    You want a 1 piece handle, the one on my wall and the link above are 2 piece.

    Spears are nice, used to love em, still do, but now I prefer halberds. Though I rarely use them in mmorpg's, because they're always so nerfed. Swing WAY too slow, and you don't get their MAIN advantage 'REACH'. In RPG's they usualy make them swing slower than axes, however you have more leverage, and they're lighter than axes thus you can swing it pretty fast, it's STOPPING the swing that's the hard part, all that momentum. They also rarely put enough polearm types in games to make them desireable, and are often only granted to the main tank classes. Which do better wither 1h weapon-shield combos.

    If as a hunter, I could pick this weapon up and use it, I would in a heart beat.

    Halberds are the GOD weapon of all polearms, they were the result of improvements made on all polearms before them, so good is their design, variations of them were also found in early Asian regions. There's chinese halberds and European halberds, yet they were both designed without ever knowing the other existed.

    Do you mean in real life or in WoW Vakktn? Because yea they're awesome in real life, I have one, and a replica of sean connery's sword in Highlander. But if you meant in WoW, they are in the game if you didn't know yet. Blizzard had a pic of it but it's not there anymore. It's called a frost tiger blade I think, might be wrong. But rest assured, you'll beable to let your ninja skills shine even in WoW. If you already knew I meant no offense, I mightve misunderstood.

    Oh i ment in game... I have 2 katanas IRL =D... and a nice black and blue silk kimono with a dragon on it (Reversable too =D)... but yeah i knew about the blade in WoW I just didnt know if it was 2h or 1h... i prefer 2h hehe

    I'm pretty sure that my Hunter main will be using an axe, or perhaps duel wield a couple.  Aside from that the good 'ol bow and arrow.  But I know that the stouter classes of Tauren and Dwarf will be able to craft their own muskets and ammunition for guns, but with no tradeskill as-of-yet implemented for those of us who preffer bows and arrows, it's a bit dissapointing.image

    Uh you wear a kimono.......... my god i hope you a chick cuz as much as you like japanese warrior dresses Axel Karef they kinda went outa style a century ago.... that and the fact that you would buy a kimono brings me to the conclusion that

    1. Your Japanese and you like to respect your culture...

    Dude a kimono is like a robe.... guys wear robes....and btw my kimono doesnt have "Flowers" on it it has a DRAGON on it if I could find my pics of it id post it... but you probabal ydont care anyways haha....and no im not a chick im a guy and no im not japanese I just like the culture. I collect japanese items n what not. And yes I like anime (Duh avatar and sig is from Naruto best anime out there) and no I dont like pokemon ROFL....and No i dont play starcraft... I used to along ass time ago but my sister scratched both SC and Brood war cds in one of her RAGES so =P

    and heres another little pointer... Stop watching cartoons... unless you are under 10 or severely mentally unfit both of which i suspect you are neither, there is no excuse...

    and here my katana weilding friend, is some advice from ole uncle Bazzie on girls... they dont dig pale anime junkies wearing "Dragon" embelmed "Robes" from the 1500s...

    Hey Vakktn.

     

    I agree with you. I have a friend who's done his apartment with an oriental theme, very nicely done. It's a nice culture. I applaud anyone who has a love for something and can find a way to reflect that in their own life towards a possative improvement.

    Nothing wrong with buying a kimono, it's not like you went out and bought some panties or a dress from the 18th centuary. Buying a kimono is just the same as buying a pair of greaves from the 14th century, it's historicaly period appropriate for your gender and I bet you don't run around town wearing your kimono and climbing bowing to people. Today's cultural opinions on what is appropriate doesn't relate to liking what was appropriate in past generations. Swords are awesome, people still love swords, but it's definately not period appropriate to walk around town with one or wield one against another person. However no one seems to see anything wrong with owning one. The same is for a kimono. You can respect and admire something and still behave to the norms of modern society. Though this you already know.

    I'd also like to mention that Anime is only considered "cartoons, and cartoons are for children!" by cultures like Americas. In Asian cultures I'm sure you know, that Anime is showed regularly in theatres and are respected just as much as any live actor movie, and arn't viewed only as "childrens cartoons". I'm sure you know all this though.

    However you may have noticed I'm not saying anything towards Colcleugh. He's just trolling and doesn't deserve any recognition with his uneducated remarks. Especialy regarding women.

    You mr Colcleugh are definately not an expert on women if you truely believe what you've said.

     

    PS. Please continue to post fav weapon related posts. Stick to the topic. Also if anyone has pics of their fav weapon, armor etc, please share.

I'm sure Vattkn knows that I'm teasing him... you however Dracius is taking my little rant of Japan way too seriously I apoligize if you have (ahem) taken offence... to my how do you put it again (uneducated) persona...

    however Mr. Dracius let me let you know... I am quite well educated and have had more experiance with women than you have...
