I do not see the point to getting a whore for oneself, in reality a slut is far better then a whore, they both do the samething, the only difference is that one is far cheaper then the other. Bring it on down now.
Damn byotch dat aint no friggn moon fool, dat be a friggn space station byotch.
If it's going to be legalized, then there must be a company. There should be no girls waiting on the street to get picked up. There must be a company that insures these girls are 'safe' before someone pays to have sex. Also, they must make sure that nothing bad happens while over the buyers house. If he is known as a dangerous man, then he shoudl not be able to pay for the woman.
As our various levels of government get more and more desperate for revenue you will see prostitution legalized. Some politician will put spin on it that it will be creating jobs in the service industry, it will be 'regulated" to address health and safety concerns, and , like cigarettes and alcohol, you will be taxed heavily for indulging in this activity.
Of course, the voters will support it because it will always be someone else's son or daughter that does this, not their's, and it will hold the wolves at bay for a bit longer from raising taxes. The tax revenue from prostitution will probably be earmarked for some good cause, like children's education, health care, etc.
The prostitute will not be going to your house. There will be a brick and mortar business location that you will go to, kinda like going down to Walmart, shop the merchandise, select what you want, and then go into a room where the service will be provided.
Your local Christian Coalition minister will support legalization, thus allowing him to employ these services without fear of scandal, after all, it's legal right?

I know you were probably not aware of this when you wrote this, but you aren't paying for the woman. You're paying for the woman's services. You could also say that you were hiring the woman. Little word choices like these frame the issue incorrectly and tend to display your actual feelings on the issue.
Not that you don't have the right to an opinion. But opinions should be easily identifiable as such. Just an FYI.
What is it with politicians (from any party) who think they can do this sort of thing and not get caught? They KNOW that the media will go into the feeding frenzy mode over anything involving sex, because Americans are so incredibly uptight about sex.
I've found america to be the most sex saturated culture on earth...and the most perverse!
Hehe, one of every four teenage girls in america has a STD for gods sakes!

If you count genital warts.
However something like 50% of the US has that, in the harmless form according to doctor Drew Pensky from loveline.
Here's the results of the study...genital warts (whatever they are) weren't mentioned. I can only imagine the rate of infected wombs in the 18-30 female demographic...must be close to 70%! And stink to high heaven!
I don't know who "Dr." Drew Pensky is...prolly on the same level as that ding-dong "Dr." Phil, yes?
oh is that your stance now? i thought it was spitzer shouldnt have to step down. he should have to step down for breaking a law, as a politician. who cares if you think it should be legal or not.
In light of Spitzer's past moral crusading, I think that he should be called to task on his hypocrisy. Had it just been a case of prostitution alone, I wouldn't care.
That's the advantage of being a free thinking individual rather than a religious drone. I have the freedom to clarify, refine, and change my mind on an issue as I receive new information. I'm not confined to sticking by knee-jerk reactions based on nothing but faith. I'm also not confined to "staying the course" when it's clear that the course leads right over a cliff.
Given, I do have to take more responsibility for my ethics. I can't just use "because God said so" and leave it at that. I have to support my moral choices with logic, reason and facts.
When it comes to prostitution, the only reason it's dangerous and exploitative is because it's illegal.
1) If prostitution was legal, the women that do this work would have the right to police protection from being assaulted either by their employers or clients.
2) If prostitution was legal, sex workers would actually keep more of the money that they make.
3) If prostitution were legal, it could be regulated in much the same way as tobacco and alcohol. Mandatory periodical STD testing and records could actually help prevent disease that is spread through unregulated prostitution.
4) If prostitution were legal, it would cut down on the amount of minors engaged in prostitution since we could now demand that the owners of brothels maintain records about their employees with full transparency.
And the list goes on and on.
Again, I don't fault anyone for just being human. I do fault people for blatant dishonesty, which seems to be the case here. Although I'm open to the possibility that something else may come up that will turn that on conclusion on its head as well.
I reserve my judgment until I have all the facts. My problem is with people, such as yourself, that don't care about the facts and only want to pontificate or pander for one side or the other.
Jimmy, it's almost like you are saying it is ok to break the law if it's a law you don't think should exist.
oh is that your stance now? i thought it was spitzer shouldnt have to step down. he should have to step down for breaking a law, as a politician. who cares if you think it should be legal or not.

Jimmy, it's almost like you are saying it is ok to break the law if it's a law you don't think should exist.
I couldn't consider myself a responsible person if I just blindly followed laws that I know or feel are unjust. It was once illegal to aid a runaway slave. It was once illegal for women to vote. For a short time, it was illegal to possess or consume alcohol. It was once illegal for doctors to perform abortions, even in the event of rape or incest.
Changing the world is harder than changing channels on a TV or surfing to a different web page. Change requires that you sacrifice something. Change requires you to put yourself at risk of reprisal. Often times, that means breaking the law.
I don't believe in total chaos. By that same token, I don't believe that the government is any more qualified to make my decisions than I am. The government has no business in my bedroom. The government can set some standards and safety guidelines to protect the public from things like disease, but if a citizen wants to sell sex or give it away is not any so-called authority's business.

This is a polite discussion forum I know the irony of me saying this if you knew much of anything about these off topic forums.
Also the affore mentioned doctor is not only an actual doctor, but he is a medical instructor and lectures around the country.
In the very least uneducated masses know who he is from his VH1 show celebrity rehab.
