Your right Singsofdeath I agree with you. Like I say just trying to get some intel, and none available. about this Avery guy that you hold in such high reguards, Well why don't he come on this or ANY post and tell us how AoC coming along ? ANY post would be fine, I would even understand that he is trying to stay clear of this post.
1) If he knows and will not tell, then all he is doing is talking about features, he may as well be part of there marketing.
2) If he does not know anything, then what help is that.
The first levels of AoC are supposed to be a single player experience (developer choice). That's the reason this guy is saying that (being quite ignorant about the rest of the game), I would say. Not sure though.
Anyways, you're breaking NDA by pasting these beta forum messages, my friend.
Because AoC is not being designed around the adv throughout. Its a small-zones, very linear, point A to point B, fetch & return quest driven lvl up,easy to get to the cap BS game like WoW! Get there as fast as possible, then all your gonna do it spend your entire time doing raids for sets of pointless gear or fighting back n forth over pointless battlekeeps.
Woo joy...this game has already failed! Thats fine if you don't agree with me, just go spend ur money and learn the hard way.
Kemih ~ 13 Red Mage | Currently playing FFXI & LOTRO, awaiting Warhammer Online & Aion...
Uh...Thats a silly arguement considering you can pre-order most games that come out these days many many months in advance. Pre-order isn't something that hasn't been occuring already.
Go to Best Buy and you'll see pre-order boxes for several differant upcoming games on the shelves.
You should actually being comforted by the fact that the company is starting to push pre-orders because that means the game is very near release.
I asked on the AOC forums if what i heard was true that there were game breaking bugs and game would not be released on May 20th i got threatend and warning for talking about nda stuff and im not even in beta. So my guess is there are problems and we will see more leaks if game is fubar.

"For the record, yes, "My friend who is in beta told me...<incredibly
specific obviously NDA-breaking information>" or "I read on this site
somewhere...<incredibly specific obviously NDA-breaking information>" or
"Rumors say...<incredibly specific obviously NDA-breaking information>"
does count as an NDA break."
If you think games in development have problems then yes thats a great observation.
Think all bugs will be gone by release, then don't hold your breath. There will be some, but from what I saw the game will be in good shape come May 20th.

Khyshi you haven't even played the game...
I suggest if you don't like AoC, because all your posts are either a) Vanguard II or b) some negative bollocks without being constructive, they you just troll somewhere else. Its kinda getting tiresome hearing you moan and whinge..
People are much more open minded on the Gamespot forums, It seems as if there are a lot of one sided fans here ! Talk about what you know is what should be talked about here not because you read 20 web sites on features.

Vanguard Dev's didn't invite 1 fan and 18 Press guys all expenses paid trip to their HQ 4 months before launch and say "take a look around, No NDA" "point your camera's and ask questions"
They opened their door and basically said hey look this is what we have and where we are up too. There are stickies at the top of the forums here about it. There are also some 40 or so press reports from similar hands on experiences over the weeks either side of the event I went too all links posted for your perusal.
E6600 2gb Ram 7900GS Windows XP, game plays awesome on high settings. (That was one system I played on)
Dev told me two days back, they run similar to above but with ATI X1700 card and older pentium dual core, game runs great on mainly high settings.
There is a lot of info around if you bother to read.

Taken from the Rules of Conduct on MMORPG.com:
"NDAs
MMORPG.com does not permit users to post information on games still under an NDA. For more information about your specific game's NDA, please visit their official website."
This is why most people do not spill NDA's around here. Also, some people consider keeping the NDA intact, even if there were no repercussions. *shrugs*

I offer concerns for and against..
I am not going to comment on NDA breaking material.
There are plenty of current "state of game" press articles from all over. I am a fan, I offered what I saw with two hours of footage, plus the hour of Q&A videos posted here too on this site.
Some of those Press wrote really bad reports about the game 6 months back and Funcom still invited them back. You can actually see how far the game has come in the last 3 months.

What does this even mean. How could I talk about what I know, without discussing what I have read on websites and from developers. THAT IS THE KNOWLEDGE, THAT IS WHAT WE HAVE TO BASE OUR OPINIONS ON, HOW ARE YOU NOT GETTING THIS.
And how is getting info from NDA breaking beta testers any more legit than the info from the devs? couldn't the tester just as easily have his own agenda? Is beta information even accurate? NO, because it is always changing and evolving. The game at release will not be the same as what is on beta servers now.
If you wish to learn more about the game, I would suggest reading info and watching videos that are scattered across the net. If your not satisfied with that, than you are going to have to wait until you get into beta, or until release. You obtain info the same way as everyone else and than make your own opinions, that's all anyone has done, though some have read more than others.
