I don't think that would stop SWG Vets from crying.  Even if there was an SWG2 it would still not be the same.

    1. Star Wars - Hands down, this is really a game I wish they would (re)make and make it correctly.  SWG proved that the potential behind a game in this setting, truely knows no bounds.  I am a firm beleiver that a Star Wars game, built with a sandbox design, focussing on aspects of adventure, romance, political intrigue, and action - would be the best MMO ever.  Just as long as they keep the whole Jedi thing somewhat "special" and "mysterious" then I would go for just about anything.
    2. Comic Hero - I liked CoH a lot.  I didn't play it much, but only because it boiled down to a very long and tiresome grind.  I think Champions Online will bring a lot of what made CoH really cool, and also redesign what made it really suck, only to make it something everyone can enjoy for years to come.
    3. Castlevania/Underworld -  I think something along the lines of this classic (monster) setting could make a great MMO.  I mean, if you think about it, there really isn't an MMO out right now that pulls off the whole Werewolf/Vampire/Human/Creatures of the Night thing.  Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not into Goth and all that "giggle during grotesque death scenes in a movie" stuff, and I'm more than certain every weirdo (no offense) in the galaxy will come around to pay homage to this game, whether it's good or not.  But I think something like this, in the vein of either a Modern Day, WWII, or Boroque era setting would be really cool.  Personally, I would like to see a modern day look on a game like this in locales across the globe.  I think it would be something very cool if the Developers rebuilt New York City in an MMO.
    4. MadMax/Doomsday -  It seems anything Post-Apocolyptic we seem to get is some sort of super-mecha era, or only deals with crappy crap like Auto Assault.  In this type of game, I would rather have it focus on the hardships of survival, where you have less than you need to live on, rather than all out warfare.
    5. Matrix - I don't play MxO, and what I did play of it during my trial, I found to be severely lacking.  The only reason I offer this is because I personally beleive that there is a valid MMO experience somewhere in the Matrix Lore, and MxO is surely not it.  I think it could be better... way better.

I still think a Seiken Densetsu (Secret of Mana) MMO would be amazing.

If not, a 4 player type game with a decently strong narrative (nothing more than Secret of Mana had), 4 players and online play over XBL Live.

1.Christian Mythology MMO.  I'm not very religious but I really enjoyed Constantine and it's themes.

    2. RTS MMO similar to age of empires or total war.

    3. Western MMO in original star wars galaxies style.

    4. Dragon ball z (don't hate).  Lots of lore behind it and if not made to look all pansy like, could be really fun.

    5. Mafia/GTA style.  Gangs could act like guilds, alliance could act like syndicates. People could also play the police (or something)

Baldur Gate 3, with the new edition of D&D rules (they are been MMO-ified anyway...stickiness, warrior doing no dps anymore...fine with me, but MMO-ified)

God-stuff.  Yeah, I want to create avatars and work on my home plane (housing+++)  Full PvE for me, but I can see interesting PvP for other...just...not for me in anyway. :P

Cities of Medieval-fantasy.  :P  Now, divide each class in 2 half and put some powers in a 3rd pool, pick any 2 half you want, mixing any class, but then the 3rd pool is given to you to "balance" stuff out.  You always dream to haste and to CH, sure can...or to tank & slow, sure can...and so on...no raiding! :P

Aion is in developpment, I don't like many design decision, like PvPvE, but...I really like the setting...will give it a try.

Warhammer, not WAR, Warhammer.  Me want PvE!  :P

    Vampires & WereWolves stuff. :)

Yeah, that would be my top 5; some are setting, some are system, some are both. :P

    2) I second the FFmmo based on FF7

    3) discworld

    4) Startrek

All of them sandbox, anything else is lazy.

    1.  Warhammer 40k - the more interesting / original IP of the 2 to have created when the market is as flooded with traditional Fantasy as it is at the moment.

    2. Firefly MMO would also be cool as has been said (everyone wanting a scifi/western - this would be the one).

    3. I cant really say this without asking for trouble, but oh well - Pokémon!

    4. A Bucky O'Hare  MMO... wow that would be amazing... seriously, I want that now!

Can't really think of anything after Bucky now... I want to fight the evil Toad Empire :P

    1. Pulp-1930s style Scifi MMO (Think of old Flash Gordan serials meets Robert Heinlein sensibilities).

    2. Zombie 'survival' MMO (What's the fun of PVP when it can't be asymmetric in some fashion where zombies have numbers or some additional powers that humans do not (but humans have guns and coordination)).

    3. 'Toy' based MMO (Think Lego Universe meets Garry's Mod (heh, I love physics puzzles)).

    4. Mobster/"private eye" based MMO (Any old pulp novel series will do here, just lots of fun and not just run and gun).

    5. 'Low'/naturalistic fantasy MMO (Song of Fire and Ice as a primer, where magic was truly magical and rare and not tossed about like leftovers).

There are soo many ip's I could see being made into MMO's, but just to list a few.

    1. A Song of Fire and Ice - If made well as a realistic looking sandbox MMO.. could be a very interesting world, also alot could be done to make it a PVP centric game (with all the various kingdoms.. and alliances, ect.)  Not sure how it could be worked out, but it could make an MMO that has a very unique PVP.. that doesn't play out with just two or three groups going at it.. could just be an all out battle wher eyou get placed into one of however many kingdoms... from there have allegiances, be able to hire mercenaries for your kingdom and fight for the crown! (or just land))... Obviously a really complicated idea that would take alot of work, but an MMO that gave a real full (very large world - so campaigns against other groups would truly be massive) could be amazing.

    2. Harry Potter - Maybe not even based around Harry Potter timeline, but with thee same world.  Start at a school which you progress through as you level (visiting other areas outside the school - such as forbidden forest for hogwarts, as well as hogsmeade, etc.).  Than wizarding professions as you further progress..this would be the part that could be difficult to create.. whether as a sandbox with muggle areas or something else.  Anyways a fully magic based mmo could be very interesting, would be alot that could be done with combat.. taking it away from the current MMO combat.

    3. Outlaw Star - Not a huge anime fan anymore, but for some reason this world always seemed intriguing to me.  The worlds always looked kind of cool and gives alot of ideas for places to put in the game (not to mention having space stations as well).  Good ship racing/combat could make it really fun as well, not to mention combat could be both melee and ranged based (with shells being almost magic like) - tho combat would still have to offer something new to be truly fun).

    - There are many other MMO's that I would like to see made (a new Star Wars well done would be fun.. ), but what I really want to see is an MMO that truly tries something new with how it plays.  Maybe a skill tree MMO but with fun combat.. something where leveling up is significant, but at the same time skill plays a major role in combat - I know this has kinda been done in past MMO's, but it doesnt really seem like it has been tried recently.
