What Gnazon said. There has been a load of these kind of threads so for future reference just go to one of them.

On a more serious note ....... I'm a caster at heart. I hear the casters in AoC havn't been given the love that some of the other classes have. You know how that goes though ..... meh, time will tell.

Hmmm.... I see Priest of Mithra looks like it may be under-popped, looks like healers will be quite in demand. I was kind of thinking about goin tank for this game, but I was always best at healing.

I chose for the bear shaman.
And interesting, a poll on a more official forum of AoC showed a low score for Bear Shaman unlike this poll.
In my circles the Bear Shaman seems to be the most popular pick. People are just drawn to a warrior/healer, because it gives them the best of both worlds. They're so self-reliant, perfect solo classes. And in teams you can do a bit of both, not getting too bored of just a single role.
I'd roll a Bear Shaman myself, but I think they'll be too common. Same for the Stygian Mage classes. I'll probably pick a Priest of Mitra, Tempest of Set or Guardian.
The more votes the more "realistic" the polls get. Thing is tho, as most here prolly have not seen the class they voted for the turnout can even be very diffrent just for the ones of us that voted here.
But it seems tho that healers / tanks will get a lot of VIP treatment hehe.
I usually opt for the Healing/Support class in most MMOs, but considering AoC has the blood-spew graphics and decapitation I HAVE to pick a class that swings a weapon proficiently...
So I'm going with either Hearld of Xotli or Barbarian.
I will roll a Priest of mitra,I always enjoy playing a healer,with the added CC this class has and the coned healing I think it will be perfect for me and also a good challenge to try and master it.

im starting to change my mind about what class to play. But gonna make a few diffrent chars at game release and see what classes will be needed the most

Is it just me or do Tempests of Set seem like awkward mish-mashes of classes?
The Scion of Set was cool, and the Druid was cool, but mixed together it just seems blah. To me, anyways.
ok this is my phycology... or what ever: I chose a class that I wont play so that then it will seem like the other class is more popular. Now other people will be more likley to play it instead or the class i REALY want to play, thus making me more unique and in turn more l3t; or what ever the kids are calling it...
You have to be tricksy like that to make your way in hyboria...

Don't know your lore do you? Conan, the Barbarian was a thief... so any other archtype for a barbarian would make no sense at all.

I was so sure about what class I was going to play a week ago, since that week I changed about 5 times. Things change for many of us, some ppl pick class way ahead of time and stick with it, others, we pick diff class til the end, and even reroll
