Heh, ignorance at it's finest. There's an itsey bitsy difference between a religious service,a practice, a belief of a God , to spread the religion to an area that doesnt have that religion and the difference of law of Shariah.
Look up what the law does and how it represses women's self identity and right to choose. Shariah law states a woman shall be lashed no more than 30 times if she is sexually exposed whether through rape or self given indulgence. Remember the girl in Saudi Arabia that was raped three months ago and almost got 30 lashes until organizations got together and condemn it? no. You probably had no idea.
How about the Shariah law that states a woman does not have the right to pursue an education or a job even after her husband dies. However, she is allowed to beg.
Or the Shariah law that states if you reproduce a likeness of Mohammed the prophet, you shall be executed? Or if you name an inanimated object Muhammed you will received twenty lashes. Remember the English teacher who taught in a muslim slum for free to make sure the children got an education? She named a Teddy Bear Muhammed after a student there (whose name was also Muhammed). To me, what your saying sounds like the old argument of them doing more bad stuff than our bad things are.I get so fed up with one group saying that people should disregard what they're doing wrong and focus on that other bad group. Evangelicals in America want to force their religious views on people here as well. And they've got no quarrels lately of using the law and disregarding America's promise of freedom of choice in doing so. Just look at how homosexuals are treated by evangelicals in this country. Sure, I understand evangelicals are not chopping off their heads but they're sure as hell taking away their equality under the law. That's pretty darn wrong to me because I believe in freedom. I don't think the government should be used to pit one group against another and a majority win out. That's democracy and I think it stinks. Democracy is nothing more than 3 people who are wrong outvoting someone who is right. That's not what our country is about. And before you think I'm being unfair, I think the homosexuals should quit trying to use the law and government to their advantage as well. If an employer doesn't want to hire someone because they're gay then they need to just get over it. Running to a nanny state to tell an employer what decisions they can make is just as bad as what evangelicals are doing.
I think if an evangelical or Muslim or whatever wants to believe in something then let them. But other than them practicing their moral standards in their own life, they should leave everyone else the f*ck alone. It's the same thing that was going on with that polygamist compound. If a group wants to practice polygamy then let them. If they feel like it's the best decision for them to make for themselves then let them live with that decision. Life is a mess sometimes, people keep trying to make it perfect to their standards, but it's not ever going to be that way. You've got to learn to just take care of yourself and let the rest go. Otherwise you're going to get trapped in that obsessive behavior of growing the government and it's going to turn on you eventually.
So, since the evangelicals are using the government to force people to do what they want, then I think we need to do some house cleaning here as well. And they need to quit using diversionary tactics and face up to living in a free society. It's going to be ugly sometimes, but at least it's a place of freedom.

I say crazy because they wish to force the entire world to follow their premise. I can post additional articles to support this if you wish. As for why we are laughing at the "center of the earth" comment, it is because of that comment. Not the center of the landmass, but the center of the earth, which is the core of the earth.And it always cracks me up when people bring up crazy Christians in defense. I agree, there are plenty of crazy Chrisitians, but I am not a Christian myself.

First, i'm a Muslim from Egypt, i've been visiting this web-site for years. This is the first time i feel sad for the people here ... what's with the stupid childish comments about bombs and afraid of commenting lest you die. WILL YOU GROW UP.

Not sure if this is true or not, have to research it a bit (whether it's Muslim or not, i don't believe what anyone says just out of his mouth without research, even if it's Einstein), but anyway ... if it's true, then why is GMT still exist as the standard?! Britain was like Rome back in the day, it forced everything to be its way or the highway, but scientifically, it should be Mecca's standard time that's used. If you don't want it to be called that, then choose ANY city on the same line and call it that.
Finally, in my humble opinion, i think that this whole subject is a bit ... unimportant. Sure, people can talk about change, but it's not urgent. It would be nice, but NOT urgent to change the whole world system over.
As a last note, please stop being extremist yourself, and don't call a whole nation terrorists based on the actions of less than 1% of them.
