What type of guild are You going to join?

Just curious on what type of guild people are going for? I am prolly myself gonna have a lil mercenary guild with a few friends that will hire our services to any guild who will pay us to do some battles under their banner. We so far only planned a few rules for ourselfs.

1. Mature players.

2. We play all out with the best we can offer when we get hired.

3. No griefing of players.

4. (Unsure) Long time hiring  / friendship contract. The guild who will hire us as a long time contract will get all the time we can spare and any backup they need. The frienship contract is more that we will not accept contracts that will attack or in anyway harm a guild we have a friendship contract to, this of course takes some research on our part when taking contracts. But it should be solved that we inform the ones hiring us about our situation, but if a friendship guild decides to attack a guild we are contracted to... We will defend our hired guilds keep with blood and tears.

Well, just rambled a lil bit.

What type of guild you joining?

Either a mercenary guild or a hardcore PvP group. I want to take advantage of being one of the starting players in this game and join one of the guilds that makes it to the top. I'm not sure how the mercenary guilds will work out but they seem like a really fun aspect, so I will probably join a hardcore mercenary guild. If they aren't as good as they sound I'll just join a PvP guild that has one of the battlekeeps so I know I'll always be able to get some action on siege warfare.

I am going to join a guild that trades wins in instanced minigames to get much better gear much faster than other ppl.

After hearing about instanced minigames to give players "AND EDGE" i am done with this game, whats the difference from wow now? (other than better graphics)

I am probably going to try and find myself a smaller PVE guild. Personally I am more interested in the PVE side of the game, though I will try and enjoy some PVP now and then. Hopefully it works out so that I can also get into some siege battles and try those out, but would never join a guild just for that.

I'd like to actively participate in the Border Kingdom PvP, but I'm a casual player (10 hours per week max) so I'm not sure that will work out. If the larger guilds restrict themselves to l33t 24/7 players (as I suspect they will) I'll be content to offer my sword to a smaller guild allied with a large guild, or a merc guild.

I generally stay out of guilds, I have and will level characters up to the max level without setting foot inside a guild.  I dont like drama, or people who feel compelled to update others about their personal lives in a MMORPG or brag about their idiocy (ie "Hey everyone, I got drunk last night and beat up a dude, Im cool!")

I will wait and see what kind of guilds there are and what kind of people they attract.  And if later in the game I wish to join one I will.

Good part tho is that the big guilds are going to need a lot of ppl, they will need them to defend their keeps and so on. So think many people who are not hardcore players still will end up in big guilds as the numbers will be needed to defend your battlekeep, raid, gather mats and all the stuff that has to be done.

Seems like a lot of ppl going for big time guilds. Going to give the smaller guilds a big market for working as mercs and allies to the big guilds. That is going to be an awesome aspect of the game, imagine all the guild drama that is going to be around the merc system.

"Eh, arn't you guys supposed to be fighting for us?"

"Yhea, but they paid us more!!!" *Smash on the head with big sword*

    "But you guys promised!!!""

"Money talks friend!" *Smash on the head with even bigger sword*

I wouldnt hold my breath for it. Guilds with 200+ people dont need mercs.

You think that now, but what you think when your enemy guild thinks you dont deserve to have a keep anymore. They are 400, and they have a keep, but decide to assist another guild in taking your keep away from you.... gl with your 200 ;)
