Re. MMORPG. They have been very good, in my view, to allow people to discuss some very controversial issues about a very controversial game. Hats off to them for allowing this free discussion.
My hope if they intervene around this recent issue is that they will take action against the person who has confessed to hacking, and that they will not do what this hacker probably would like to see, and that is take action against people who share their thoughts and feelings here.

Indeed, the ego problem is over at Sony and LucasArts, who are unwilling to compromise theirs to admit that the CUNGE is a complete failure and that they should have reinstated the original game LOOONG ago. So unwilling to admit their mistake, they continue to pour development into a game system (NGE) that is a miserable failure LONG past the point of recovery, just so they don't have to admit they were wrong, despite being down over 90% in subscribers.
That takes an ego that is slightly larger than the planet Jupiter. Or 5 Jupiters.
For those of you in the "target audience" the planet Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system, 2nd only to our Sun in size and mass.
Any ego problem I might have is minuscule compared to that.
Fact: wildcatmmo.com was attacked today, multiple times. Someone who is a member of this site claimed responsibility in multiple PM's and threats, and even admitted to it here on this forum.
You know why I don't think it was SOE who did the attack? Because the guy who did it at least demonstrated some knowledge of how to cripple an internet connection by sending excessive packets between client and server (website). That is the essence of a denial of service (DOS) attack.
uhh... ALL Lag on the NGE servers are caused by... excessive packets. Which their Devs completely lack any understanding of. At least not enough to know that their whole game foundation is fatally flawed, regardless of it's merits, because the technology to make it work doesn't exist.
