Hello everyone. We here at Funcom are extremely happy with the demand that has been for our Early Access program. That demand has been so immense, that we are now sold out! We know that several people will be unhappy to not receive their Early Access time, but please bear with us in the remaining days. So:

- All English Early Access has sold out
- Some Early Access still available in Germany and France
- All Virtual items work will work on valid pre-order keys
- Pre-orders on accounts that was later cancelled will have their keys/account disabled

I got told yesterday I would get my key before the 16th I hope that is still the case but maybe not now,
anyway grats to funcom :)but I feel a bit mislead.

I wonder how many early access they allowed for? 500K? 250K? Anyone care to speculate?

Ummm...who said I was at a clubbing? Maybe I had a date that took me to a nice restaurant....a limo ride....then a little dancing....then....its a secret.
I doubt it was 1 million early access keys, I'd guess between 50k and 250k. I could be totally off the mark as only FC know the answer but 50k would be my lowest estimate and 250k the highest. Judging by the posters there's probably more than 50k in the early access, but only FunCrom has the answer to this riddle!

that makes sense with all of the problems, it gives them a couple of more days to fix things

Actually it doesn't. Not sure how you came into this conclusion. Pre-sales sold out does not mean the game will have a delayed pre-launch.
the early play option lets them do a soft-launch and hopefully fix any things that didn't show in beta. More players than beta, yet less than true launch.

How do you know if you have early access?
Not to mention it allows them to spread the players out a bit. Instead of having 1000 people crowding the start area at launch they now can have 500 while the other 500 will be a bit further into the game. Makes the launch smoother and the early experience a bit better for the players as well.
Anyway, congrats to FunCom to have the early access sold out. Seems they are happy with it even though I personally wouldn't mind the numbers!

I was in closed beta and I had no performance problems by the end. I think they will be in fine shape for the launch.
If you got an email from funcom telling you to check your account to download the early entry client, then you have gotten it. If you did not recieve that email then I guess your out of luck.

Yep there are quite a few disgruntled members over at AoC site,I was a bit P*ssed also as I have been trying for days to get my code sent to me but alas to late now,ahh well maybe finish the painting of the hallway now.....i did say maybe.

Well then I guess pre-ordering under the assumption that if we registered and did what was required to obtain early access we'd get early access? Now it seems that is not true. Why didn't Funcom say that their were limited places to early access? Doesn't say it anywhere in the email I got from Gamestop. The fact that I had to wait almost 5 days for the email to begin with. Then to enter the key 2 days ago and set up to purchase the early access only to find out that "they sold out'". I am happy that Funcom sold out. Great. But...wasn't it a little misleading to make us think if we did what we were suppose to do...we'd get early access? ::sighs::

Keys...pre-order keys...what keys. I assumed it meant pre-order keys. Oh well no biggy. Going to be flying to Barbados on the 18th anyway for a couple of days.
It says that as in the keys to get into early access are limited, I however like others already have the key from gamestop. last night when I entered it at the site I had the option to check a box for early access on my subsccription page. Long story short I had something come up at home before I could get my info in and confirm, so i go back this morning to do it and the early access option on the sub page is gone. That is false advertising period!

did you check the box during payment where entering your CC info of $5 for early access. it could have been missed.
