It's really sad that these trolls feel the need to barrage these forums with pure bs.
Anyone that is on the fence about the game, ask yourself this. Do mature people troll a forum for a game they don't like? And would they troll and tell the truth or not? The anwser is no, anyone that is immature enough to troll a forum for a game they don't like, is going to talk trash on it.

Its not a seamless world, neither game is.
TBC Outland has ONE big world you can fly over on your epic mount in full 3D and you can land on ANY spot at ANY time without a loading screen. There is even a complete 3D underwater world.
Total space including air, land and underwater would easely TRIPLE the world of Conan.
Compare this with the loading screens of EACH house you enter AND exit in "instanced" Age of Loading.
Oh TBC was launched in Jaunuary 2007. They call this game DESIGN.
Also LOTRO did a remarkable good job too, No full 3D full overflights or underwater worlds but still far and far better than what we see here.
Bravo Zorn. These fanboys wouldn't know a good game if it jumped up and bit them in their fat asses. If the game was really THAT good, they would be playing it right now instead of trolling forums and acting like white knight's to the corporate whore that is Funcom.
Seeing as neither of you have got very far in age of conan, here is a little map - outdated and missing lots more areas, thats LOTS more.. but you can see in addition to where you got to and where you didnt. Actually I just finished playing for a few hours and came to read the forums before bed.
EA would be the corporate whore btw, just ask all the companies they have taken apart..
aoc is not like guild wars.. thank god. yeah the 1st 20 levels are sort of like ugh i'll learn it later, but after that it gets good. and btw guild wars is crap in my eyes. and since i quit wow this game is good so far i'm a war person but aoc will hold me over and combat system is new and u got gore and boobies so what more do u want.
Can anyone explain me How dose Grouping wokr? what is motivation to group with others? is there any motivation for that at all? And most important question is there RolePlaying Server with real rolepLayers?
WoW was a great game. I really had great fun playing it, but more important, I've met some great people, that eventually became great RL friends. Unfortunately, due to various reasons, the scale of fun tipped against WoW some time ago and I left.
AoC is a good game, with elements that are different and refreshing enough to warrant a spot in the currently released MMOs.
Bottom line, they are both good games and they are not the only ones. Because one game is good, does not mean that another is not. Because one game caters to a group of players, does not make it bad. Belitling one game to promote another does not work for those with a basic ability of critical thinking.
So, keep on enjoying what you like and leave those things that you don't to be enjoyed by those that do.
(Right on these boards LOTRO was thrown to mud as a total failure by the people of the same mentality that can not acknowledge that if a game does not suit their tastes, does not make it crap.)
Anyone else find it funny that he quoted posts from the technical issues forum. And then used it to show a example of the game being laggy for the majority?
What were you expecting to find there? People talking about crafting or classes? Wrong forum bud. Check out other mmo's tech forums.
And just for the record. WAR won't be that great. It'll be just like every mmo ever made, with it's share of problems, it's share of things it does right.
You've been outted by people who have played the game and shared experiences regarding it. Your leaving because you lost.
Once upon a time there was a hero. As he was walking down the road, he saw a pile of manure.
"Hey, this pile must taste like shit. I mean I know my tastes in things and this pile will definitely won't be to my liking."
"What the hell, lets taste it."
... takes a big bite ...
"Yep, tastes like shit all right. I can now definitely confirm that this pile of manure is not to my liking."
Not saying that AoC is shit, but come on. You know you don't like the game from the get go and you have convinced yourself you won't like it. What's the point in paying for it? To prove to these boards that you actually played it and don't like it? Why care in the first place?

I understand that you are guys busy flaming each other but can you please asnwer my question about grouping and RP?
Well my first day with AOC was pretty fun. Alot of the quests are marked red for grouping and very few quests were marked for soloability. Your best bet is to group up as much as possible i think because there is alot of aggro from other mobs.
The combat system is actually pretty fun once you get used to it though it does take time getting used to it.
The graphics are really nice. I run the game on low-medium settings getting about 20-30 fps in certain areas.
The most confusing thing I thought was how to use the shields while in combat because you are constantly moving around, clicking your combos and spells and you have to manage to work your shields as well. If someone has tips on managing your shields better i'll be more than happy to listen
I didn't get a chance to mess around with the crafting professions. I mostly been just learning the classses and combat. I tried a Bear Shaman and I thought he was just average.
Overall I had a blast and look forward to many months playing the game.

Cimmeria is a good RP-PvP server, plenty of people running around in character.
Grouping is not essential, but is usefull for those tough quests. Later in the game especially with raids alot of classes work in tandem with each other, with alot of skills on different classes co-existing and working well with each other.
Motivation for just grouping? Well social aspects aside, (if you like that) its good to have back up on a PvP server
Designers don't lose time investing in the "wrong" design. They lose money if their product does not have the appeal they expected.
Besides, there is no such thing as right or wrong design. It's all about what you're planning on creating and what your potential target group is. For those who hate a particular design, it is going to feel like it's "wrong". Just take a look at the various 'linear vs sandbox' threads popping up all the time on these boards.

Ahh so there is no RP-PVE server only PVP :-(
Wiccana is the unofficial rp-pve server.
