Do not mind the newbie area biggest concern i have is lack of diversity when it comes to the classes the melee classes essentially feel and play the same. I wish they add another mechanic other than combos something like rage or inert bonus (like DT when he starts losing health goes into frenzy etc) that would allow classes to differentiate from one another.

Hopefully also they add 2 more caster class in upcoming patches IIRC they took Lich and another class.

Play through the game once as a fighter or a rogue, then you play through the game once as a mage or a healer... but beyond that, I don't see a huge amount of replayability. Hopefully by that time, though, the end game is ready to go.  I'm sure they'll start hyping fhe first major free content update sometime in a few months as well. They'll probably want to have something new to patch into the game when WAR gets released.

the melee classes diversify more and more as you level. A conqueror is nothing like a guardian, or a DT, for example.

A conq is quite a sight on a battlefield, with Lumbering Hulk running, a banner in the ground, and pieces of the enemy flying off in all directions.

    Pure Wargasm.

Just curious as to how they diversify... From what I'm seeing you get almost all your combat abilities in the first 20 levels or so.  For my assassin I have basically got 6-7 combat abilities and now I'm getting some from feats but looking ahead on of the sites listing combat abilities I only see maybe one of two new ones between here and lvl 80.

Not that I'm complaining mind you since I don't think I'd be able to handle more abilities with the combos and stuff.  But I'm curious about how you see them growing differently

man, I hate your sig. I get scared when I see it in the middle of the night :(

    I'd hit it.....WHAT?

Why do I write, create, fantasize, dream and daydream about other worlds? Because I hate what humanity does with this one.

BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.

I was under the impression that funcom stated that they made leveling quick so that people could move to the meat of the game, which is primarily after level 80.  We'll have to see how that pans out...

Well then, I guess there is no point in playing WoW, or any other MMO in that case right?  I mean I have 1 70 I dont need to do 1-70 again to relive the long hours of grinding and the random ganks in Grom Gol, or perhaps the long waits for heroics or perhaps the long and annoying Alterac Valley waits because alliance is qqing to blizzard about how the map now benefits the horde more.  Lawl every MMO has replayability, you play to have fun with your friends and to enjoy the game with them.  If you dont like that concept, MMO's perhaps are not for you, and if you are one of those sand box junkies, stop buying games that you know wont satisfy you.

P.S. you said I could quote you, so I did.

get to 80..then tell me what areas of the game you didnt set foot on...the zones are made so that you have an illusion they are big..but they in fact are tiny...its just an illusion...you dont believe me ofc..i understand you..you need time to see for yourself...but man the zones are really beautifull, lust with imba graphics...thats for sure...i love that...

You already did Lvl80??? Man!!! Do you have a life?? Im sorry but the only thing I can say is .....LOSER!!!!

the tutorial is 25% of the game, if not alittle more. Some are reporting level 23+ after the tutorial.
If the cap is level 80, and the first 20 levels are the tutorial, then yes it is 25 %. No need to explain it to me. I got out of 3rd grade just fine in Math.
Really you must be the lost one, son.
I stand by my post. I never said this game sucks. I merely stated it has not alot of replayabily as the guy below you agrees too.
Dude, you're exhibiting an aptitude of the average World of Warcraft subscriber.  Gratz on the one dimensional thought process. ;)

In which games do alts not do the same things?

Serious question, i want to know so i can try it.

Try EQ 2, the game has been out now a long time and has had many new areas and changes added. Where you might do the same types of things; explore, run quests, fight mobs, craft, the details of these are not copy/paste between zones. Every so often the content of the zones gets revamped to make them different. So, what you did two years ago in a zone is not necessarily the same thing you will do today. Even now my alts will travel into a zone and see/experience new things that were not there before.

I would assume that to keep player's interest in AOC they will add new things, and change things up,  continuosly. So, though the first 20 levels may be linear today, maybe they will be entirely different two years from now. Keeping a game stagnant over an extended period of time does hurt re-playability value, and a sharp developement team will recognize this and change things up to encourage subscribers to create alts and explore the changes. I believe AOC allows 8 alts, they did that for a reason. Don't burn them all up in the first 30 days of play.

Just have patience. Because it appears to lack re-playability value today does not meean that it will always lack re-playability value.

After giving this thread a few days to grow. I have seen many people that, on other threads too, agree with me.  Alot of people just don't want to have to spend 20+ hoursredoing a 20 level tutorial with 20+ hours to do it just to try another char. class out.

It now pains me to play my lvl 14 DT. I want to reroll a mage class char. but, I can't bring myself to go threw  all the same quests I already have done. In the same area. Take VG, you can reroll a alt in 5 mins. and get on with it in a different starting place. Want to try a different crafting class? Reroll in 5 mins. and do it. In AoC it will take you 20+ hours to just get to you 1 of 3 starting areas. Then another 20 lvl's to start crafting something different. In all I would say around 40+ hours just to try out something different in crafting, at least 20+ hours to just try out a different starting location and another class.

All that equals no replayability....... A vast majority of people with a life, will get bored to tears with AoC in a very short time! This is by far the worst MMO I have seen seen for trying something new in a short time.
