Just a word of advice for anyone thinking of coming to Hyboria.
This game is still in beta, and I would give it a few more months before wasting hard earned cash. Issues that need urgent attention at the moment.
1. Performance & Server issues are causing great consternation for many people with system specs that far outweigh the minimum reqs.
2. Class balance is non-existent, and has just been made worse by recent stealth nerfs to certain classes, and leaving other overpowered classes untouched. PvP is now broken.
3. Long server downtimes scheduled for unreasonable hours.
4. Patch notes which don't contain relevant information, and stealth nerfs which cause mistrust and scepticism.
5. All crafting is broken, as are guild cities.
6. Combat Arts are broken, as are a lot of the animations.
7. UI and chat system is horrible. I would imagine this was forgotten about until a week before release.
8. Post level 50, content is poor and grinding becomes the order of the day.
9. There are so many GM petitions, that waiting 2-3 days for help is not uncommon. This in itself indicates the amount of problems this game has at the moment.
This are some of the major faults with the game, but there are many others which seem insignificant but are plain annoying.
It could be a decent game eventually, but at the moment it flatters to deceive. Funcom have been extremely clever in a couple of respects. They have polished levels 1-20 so the customers' first impressions of the game are favourable. These are usually the only levels that the gaming sites rate the game on as well, because they have other issues and game reviews to move on to.
There was a reason why you can't craft before level 40. There was a reason why early access was limited to level 13. There was a reason why the NDA wasn't lifted. There was a reason why the forums are only open to people who have already purchased the game.
Did Funcom learn anything from previous games they have made. Yes, they did. They learned how to deceive the public into paying for their merchandise. Grats.

Yes the frame rate is crappy even on a computer with a windows rating of 5.1 (mine ) and my buddy's (7.0)
I think its all a network issue on the code side the game FPS just drops when other players come into view.
I think they can over come this but I dont know if it will happen anytime soon.
The games recomemded specs not min are 4.8 to run on high.
It's just not the cas atm.
We could all speculate why the frame rate is so poor but there really is no point. It simply has to improve before all of our thirty day free trail is up.
Then we will see what the fram rate is.

That was a pretty big troll though. Tragically...Funcom has given him plenty of ammo to use. If he had left out some of the exaggeration...none of us (at least, those of us that actually use unbiased reason and logic) would have recognized it as such. That almost makes me cry.
It's funny how you "fanbois" over look key aspects to a make or break game. All the issues brought up are valid and are serious problems with the game, don't believe me? Just give some search on these forums as well as the official all those problems are discussed daily. To say your game is perfect is beyond idiotic. If funcom shit in a box and called it AoC you'd still flock over it.
Your game is not perfect, it is broken and there is many bugs and broken promises within the game. Hell you don't even have sieges yet and most the crafting is impossible to do because its broken as well, all gameplay elements that should have been tested and fixed before launch. They did a terrible rush job and now they will pay for it. To all you who like it more power to you but once you reach the later levels and I see you on this forum complaining the game is broken it will bring a smile to my face.
You can't discount the opposite spectrum just cause you love the game and to the person that reported the post that is about as low as you can go. There is just as many if not more bad things as there are good things infused in this game.

Just for the record people, the OP was dead-on regarding some of his issues.
For example, meeting and exceeding the system requirements and still having horrible issues = True.
I am one of the not-few people out there with ATI radeon sapphire hd 3850x2. Apparently the game clashes with the ATI 3800 series, and much like BioShock you have to do a rain dance in order to *improve* the FPS.
Demonologist class description does not appropriately represent the class at all, and I suspect deletion or merger with the necromancers.
So, yes. People who are prospecting need to give the game a few more months if they want to experience AoC at its best. Thats not hate, thats the way it is.

We are having a blast, most fun we have had all summer and if you are not in Hyboria with us you are feeling that nostalgic pain

Oh yeah, Oppie... what is the name of your >50th level character? Just curious since you claim to know more than you actually have seen in the game and are so far off base it shows...

No, the game needs a few more months of development and bug fixing. It isn't at its prime right now.

100% agreed. The OP took the time to give specific reasons why he does not like the game / the game is no good.I am beginning to see these reasons repeated over and over - which suggests to me (as a non-player) a potential issue?
Just because he says something "anti-game" does not make him a troll.
MMORPG.com is a site that many of us visit to help decide IF we will purchase a new product.
I don't trust reviews any more for the very reason stated above - they often only skim over the game.

I agree, sadly the game needs alot of work, but I'm still playing for now hoping they will fix them asap. The game has huge potential .

It's truly awe inspiring how you can not notice these problems, seriously they are in your face. Every single thing he listed is a valid argument and is a problem with the players of AoC. To call him a troll is complete and utter bullshit.

Actualy i did read the whole thing and I think your post response to his was just as useless, so your actualy kind of supporting what you dont want in the forums. I just think you must not have much of a exciting life if you get annoyed by things like this on the internet.
