Seriously everything the OP pointed out is a valid and serious problem that many players are having. It might run fine on your system but there is video cards that are having problems with AoC.
I seen your other post proclaiming about how awesome the game is with very little reasoning behind it and with just 2 posts it makes one wonder if we are seeing more internet Funcom employees grabbing the forums by the balls.

The OP did point out things that he felt were out of place in the game, how ever he also pointed out things that weren't true. Such as crafting being completely broken, guild cities being broken, and other things as well.
And yes I did make a post about loving this game because clearly I desire to marry it. But I made that post before I even bothered reading this "Do NOT Buy AOC" post. Only because I see tons of negativity about AoC by people who are comparing this game to games that have been already out for 4+ yrs.
How bout we ONLY compare a game that is 1 week old to other games when they were only 1 week old and we'll be on even playing fields. Sound like an okay plan?

me, i'm just a regular guy who likes MMOs, sharing his experience on AoC... some of the posts i read on this and other forums though are so ridiculously positive & glowing about AoC they just have to be viral marketers... cause i've played the game, i think it's *alright*, but not good enough to justify some of these uber-fanboy posts.
Just a word of advice for anyone thinking of coming to Hyboria. This game is still in beta, and I would give it a few more months before wasting hard earned cash. Issues that need urgent attention at the moment. 1. Performance & Server issues are causing great consternation for many people with system specs that far outweigh the minimum reqs. LIE 2. Class balance is non-existent, and has just been made worse by recent stealth nerfs to certain classes, and leaving other overpowered classes untouched. PvP is now broken. TRUE 3. Long server downtimes scheduled for unreasonable hours. LIE 4. Patch notes which don't contain relevant information, and stealth nerfs which cause mistrust and scepticism. OP STUPIDITY 5. All crafting is broken, as are guild cities. TRUE 6. Combat Arts are broken, as are a lot of the animations. COMBAT ARTS? WTF IS THAT? 7. UI and chat system is horrible. I would imagine this was forgotten about until a week before release. TERRIBLE EXAGERATION 8. Post level 50, content is poor and grinding becomes the order of the day. TRUE 9. There are so many GM petitions, that waiting 2-3 days for help is not uncommon. This in itself indicates the amount of problems this game has at the moment. TRUE This are some of the major faults with the game, but there are many others which seem insignificant but are plain annoying. It could be a decent game eventually, but at the moment it flatters to deceive. Funcom have been extremely clever in a couple of respects. They have polished levels 1-20 so the customers' first impressions of the game are favourable. These are usually the only levels that the gaming sites rate the game on as well, because they have other issues and game reviews to move on to. There was a reason why you can't craft before level 40. There was a reason why early access was limited to level 13. There was a reason why the NDA wasn't lifted. There was a reason why the forums are only open to people who have already purchased the game. Did Funcom learn anything from previous games they have made. Yes, they did. They learned how to deceive the public into paying for their merchandise. Grats.

what huxflux said is pretty much spot on. The OP is playing it out to be worse than it actually is. AoC deff has some problems to be solved. Do i feel they should have been fixed before they released the game? Yes i do. i know you can't catch everything but there are some annoying ass bugs. however, i do not feel like i was deceived or tricked into buying it at all. they have been releasing patches almost every other day, and if you would read the downloader the OP would know they are working on fixing these things.
My advice to anyone who is on the edge about buying it, get a buddy key! its free, and MMORPG has made a sticky for it on here, go in there and just ask for one. its pretty simple. Just don' r let people like this steer you away from a good game imo. AoC is not my ideal MMO but i think its they best thing out right now and for the foreseeable future.
