Collectors Editions on eBay and Amazon for $12.

I'm actually going to pick one up, so that IF Tabula Rasa ever goes F2P, I'll be able to play it.

After trying the trial, testing the game and watching the game grow slower than anticipated, I would have hoped RG and team would have made it F2P with a high price tag. Like Guild Wars does.

It was never designed to be F2P, I dont think that will ever happen, a three day trial to try to lure people in is pretty crappy, They just dont wanht people to get over the first day or so of playing saying "this is cool!" they want you to buy the game and than find out its lifeless.

    Ermm... you mean great! no?

I mean you got to pay less to play the game ain't that a good thing?

    MMO's I got for less than 20$

Eve, EQ2 +3 exp incl, VSoH, RG:TR collector, E&B, DAoC, PlanetSide, SWG, Archlord,CoV Collector...Guess what? They all closed down... No one plays EQ2, haven't you heard Eve Online is closing door, LOL I mean come on!

Age of Conan drop from 59$ to 49$ at Futureshop last weekend, omg they're closing down for sure.

No, I must pay more for my games.  Real gamers paid $49.99 for AOC like I did.

Ummmm I dnt think I mentioned ANYWHERE in that post about TR failing, or closeing down or anything of the sort, I just htinks its pretty bad the boxed copies have gone down so far in price so quickly, PS it was the lowest price MMO in the store.

I never played game so i don't know if its good or not. But why are companies making so many sci fi games. i know some people like sci fi but not enough to populate the 6 + sci fi games they have out there. I just think theres way more fantasy type mmo fans and more time should be dedicated to making those type games.

Actually, it seems to be a very common thing for MMO's to do. I'm actually very surprised that TR was the only $10 boxed MMO in the store....they must have been out of copies of vanilla/old xpacs of EQ2, FFXI, D&D Online, Vanguard.....vanilla WoW is actually $20 beans, but, as we all know, WoW is the exception to all rules governing MMOs.

Lol, it is true what Kyleran said though....(and I paraphrase) real gamers pay 50 bucks for their games/mmo's. I paid $50, or more for CE's/LE's/SE's, for almost all the games I have bought. Which is funny b/c as a PC gamer, I KNOW that the prices will be dropped fairly quickly to clear those all-important 2-3 shelves...on an island display.....that are dedicated to PC games.

You're kidding right? 6 SciFi vs. the, literally, HUNDREDS of fantasey games. You really think the genre needs more of them?!?!?

We need MORE SciFi. It's ok though. Once KOTORO goes live, there will be no other game worth playing. SciFi, Fantasey, even sex games. There is only KOTORO. (OK, I'm pretty sure sex games tops it.... but STILL!!)

Is there an official announcement about KOTORO? I haven't seen or heard anything since late last year

Played: WoW, CoX, SWG, Eve Online, DCUO, Rift

    Playing: SW:TOR

    Not from LA or Bioware.

But, last week Lucas Arts laid off a ton of people and they began leaking info about games. Like, a lightsaber game for the Wii that's in production, Battle(field? ground? w/e the shooter game was they made for consoles) for nextgen, and that KOTOR 3 will be an MMO.

This game is definitely worth $10 or $15.

I don't expect to play it more than a month but I just picked it up after the 3 day trial.

If I don't stay with it long term oh well, I don't expect a MMO to be a lifetime commitment.

This means nothing. You can also get EQ2 for 4.99. No one will ever convince me that EQ2 is a failure.

LOTRO is now 10.00 (there is an ad on the front page of this site...10 bucks for the game, 10 a month.)

Is LOTRO a failure? Not at all.

I can find products from all sorts of very very successful companies. I found a TV made by Pioneer the other day for 100 bucks. I found a pretty nice PC for 500 made by HP.

You can get a KIA for 15 thou.

Think about what a success and failure is. If you base your idea of success and failure off of the "cheap bin" at a game store in the mall, then you REALLY need to stop and think about the nature of retail.

I think DG should start to worry when they start giving it away. I remember a few years ago where the EB Games Manager was giving copies of Auto Assault away with any purchase, he was a stand up guy but he said they wanted to get rid of them.

So the next time lets say, you buy a copy of Cossacks II Battle for Europe for 19.99, and the sales associate tells you to take a copy of Tabula Rasa for free, then you start worrying. Then again, they where selling copies of EQ2 at that time for 2.99, so it may not amount as much. And perhaps they may have been overstock.

the $10 bin is where the best of the old games live...and its a death sentence for those newer games (less than 5 years old).

TR in the bin...is like Fury for $5 at my local store

heck even DnD is getting sold for $15

    MMO wish list:

    -Changeable worlds
    -Solid non level based game
-Sharks with lasers attached to their heads

No, it is not a death sentence. And no, TR in the bin is no where near the same as Fury for 5 dollars.

Again, I point to EQ2. The basic game (which TR is still in the "basic game" phase) can be obtained, (for over a year now) for 4.99 at several stores. EQ2 is in no way a failure. If you think that, SOE is laughing at you when they cash their checks.

Also, LOTRO can now be obtained (on the front page of this website a few days ago)  and HERE on the official site for 10 American dollars, and can be played for as low as 10 bucks a month.

So, are you telling me, honestly, that LOTRO and EQ2 are failures?

Now, make sure to not post "yes."

Looks like Walmart are taking it off the shelf.

Another interesting suspicion. Proof please? Not only is it still on the shelves, but still on their website.

Here is where you put your cursor over the letters and make the mouse go click. Then you will see wal-mart's site and on the page will be Tabula Rasa, for, of all things, the same price it was when it came out.

While we are at it, here it is at Bestbuy.com.

Weird, it's here as well, as Circuit City.

And of course, it's all over the internet. Also on the official site.

Now, if you are going to make things up, at least make 'em funny like "10 bucks too much."
