I have a lvl 34 and my quest journal has been full (some 50 some quests) ever since I left tortage (lvl 20) I never even had to go to Stygia and indeed have had to pass up so many quests in cimmeria its not even funny. (did most of my questing in wild lands)
Seems that you interpreted my post for what you wanted it to say, not what it actually said.
I wasn't talking about AoC. I was talking about WAR. In AoC quests (the major source of story, direction, content) run out roughly half way through the game. Wait until you get to 50-55, you will see what I mean. My statement of no content after 20, was based on the fact that WAR only has 40 levels, not 80. So this would be about half way through the game.
Also, I wasn't flaming AoC, I was flaming IGN for having a crappy staff. The things that I mentioned indirectly about AoC are facts. IGN simply took the raw box sales numbers of AoC and attributed those numbers to "success". If they had said financial success, or box sales, I would have had no problem with the article. But the fact that they simply stated "success" leads the uninformed reader to think that AoC had a successful launch, when it was anything but.
PS: I am currently playing AoC and having a lot of fun, but I am not blind.
WAR only has 40 lvls? Ouch! ok i'll take the correction, though it wasn't really very clear to me as a newb to WAR. (No i wasn't trying to twist your words to fit some AoC fanbois agenda I really didn't know WAR only had 40 levels) but now i gotta ask is leveling in WAR supposed to be slow, or will it be even faster then AOC in a effort to get everyone to max lvl and pvp'ing?

No one really knows how fast you can level but they have said in podcasts many times that they WANT you at tier4 fighting for the capital city. As far as getting to max level to pvp.....well yea its obviouse your a WAR noob. You can and will be able to RvR from level 1. I think they mentioned somewhere its more like level 7 but if you really really wanted to you could from level 1. RvR (PvP) in WAR you CAN level to max without ever going into a PvE area if you want. This is a key selling point for many in WAR that will be in at launch.
If your new to WAR I would reccomend watching a few of the many many videos Krysom (sp) has stickied. At least then you will know what people are talking about before assuming they are just taking potshots at AoC. You got irritated assuming he was talking about AoC without ever playing it yet you knew nothing about WAR. Doesnt look verry good on you sir.

You can participate in RvR combat the entire time you play the game, from level 1 to level 40.
The level 7 comes from participating in a City Siege, which requires you be above the 7th level.
Enough people seem to like it. That is a good sign. But just judging from the videos I dont think this game will be for me. It looks like a pinball game to me tbh.
Those videos confirmed that this game is a WoW clone. Not trying to be a dick or anything but: the map/radar is in the top right portion of the screen, the player's energy bars are at the top left, the enemy's energy bar is right beside it to the right, the abilities are in a toolbar at the bottom center portion of the screen, and the chat window is on the bottom left...like WoW.
When the Chaos guy goes to destroy some building, he literally kneels down, a timer bar appears on the screen, fills to the right and then the building explodes. Minus the building exploding, this is just like WoW. The proportioning of the characters even looks identical. The aesthetics are like a slightly upgraded WoW.
The huge "TARGET IS DEAD" message that pops up on the screen makes this game seem like it is going to be even more easy mode than WoW is.
Sigh...I...I just don't know what to do anymore...
Yes, the UI is very similar so I suppose that this is a WoW clone. This follows quite logically from the fact that computer games are quite obviously 100% UI. There is nothing else in computer games except UI. There is no gameplay, no lore, combat is completely inconsequential, world structure in MMORPGs is all so much fluff. What really matters is the UI - the rest is just all so much smoke and mirrors to cover up the only thing that is of any consequence - the UI.
For example, I see no difference whatsoever between Quake and Call of Duty 4 because their UI is almost identical. The energy bars, movement controls etc. These "two" are obviously the same game with slight, ultimately inconsequential variations in minor details such as graphics, story, content, gameplay, multiplayer modes and such.
WAR could have been a truly revolutionary game if they placed their minimap in the bottom-left corner of the screen, for example... Or maybe if they required you to paint symbols on the screen with your mouse in order to walk. Sadly this opportunity to truly revolutionize the genre with changes of some real import is missed yet again.
/sarcasm off
I'm sorry but I cannot go on with this stupidity, however I hope you've managed to get the oh not-so-subtle-point I tried to make.
I happen to think that one of the very very rare things WoW managed to do really well and which is probably THE major reason for its success is its UI. I have no problem whatsoever with WAR taking what works perfectly and concentrating on innovating things that really need improving in today's MMOs.
That "other" game's designers thought pretty much as you do - not seeing the game past its UI and graphics. So what do you have? A "revolutionary" UI and controls that are actually inferior to the established standard and broken pretty much everything else.
Get your priorities straight and learn to see past the top layer of graphics on your screen.
The UI wasn't the only thing I pointed out that was similar. Thanks for ignoring the rest of my post, fanboy.

Minimap, action bars, chat...all the stuff you mentioned...is all part of the User Interface. How can you compare character models from one game to another, that's just dumb. Kneeling down with a timer...WoW's not the only game to do that either. I will agree that the UI is similar but 1) it's easily customizable and 2) it's different for each class (i.e. Shamans having Mork and Gork bars to show which of their spells will be more powerful, damage or healing). Besides that WAR is not very similar to WoW. (Visually, I haven't gotten the chance to play it yet.)
-------------------------------------- A human and an Elf get captured by Skaven. The rat-men are getting ready to shoot the first hostage with Dwarf-made guns when he yells, "Earthquake!" The naturally nervous Skaven run and hide from the imaginary threat. He escapes. The Skaven regroup and bring out the Elf. Being very smart, the Elf has figured out what to do. When the Skaven get ready to shoot, the Elf, in order to scare them, yells, "Fire!"
he also said the proportions are similar, and you kneel down when lighting a fire. that said, almost all games have similar proportions because... they have HUMANS in them. of course there are a few that have different proportions, like.... ragnarok online, hellokitty online ect.
and kneeling down to use an item. yeah, thats a lot like WoW. then again I remember Cloud kneeling down quite a lot in FF7, so its not a WoW clone, its an FF7 clone. also I remember kneeling down the last time I started a fire, so WoW is a ME clone.
Everything creates huge amounts of negativity on the internet, that's what the internet is for: Negativity, porn and lolcats.

No clearly Blizzard invented kneelings, before Blizzard came along to save the day none of us were capable of bending our legs.

Ack! I kneel down when lighting a camp fire too... That makes me a YOU clone...
Wait, if I am older, does that make you a ME clone?

Shocker I know, WoW wasn't the first MMO in the world.

Nah, see those games are all WoW clones. They all took this time machine and went to the future and stole those concepts from WoW. But due to the limited power of said time machine and the possibility of being stuck in the future they only stole those few features.

this game seriously looks like WoW 2 everything from those videos reminds me of WoW. the combat looks very boring too. I am not interested in this game at all now

Your right if by WoW 2 you mean "The next stage in MMO development"
I don't see any Neon Green or Neon Purple or Goofy looking elves with floppy ears or Orcs that look like they came out of a comic book.
Sorry I've played my fair share of games, Almost every MMO is copying off either Diablo or Everquest's interface.
Honestly, how would you the players make a UI thats better?
OH WAIT YOU CAN! MOD IT!
duh... its just a UI...
As for classes, totally different from the generic ones WoW has. Colors and graphic design this game is much more realistic feeling. Oh and getting Exp for killing people PvP! Fun!
And WoW didn't invent instances, DAoC had them and so did AO.
The mini map looks A LOT like the one from Ultima Online... hehe

I like how you are trying to prove my opinions wrong. the overall feeling i got from those videos is that it looks like the WoW sequal and not the next stage in mmo developement. nothing in that game screams that. I played WoW for 2 years and I dont want to play that game or any game that reminds me of it

I dislike people who go "its a wow clone" without knowledge - they look stupid and ignorant.
However - poeple who blindly defend something without knowledge - they also look stupid and ignorant.
I have played both and WAR is more like a wow 2, than a wow clone... but the similarities ingame are everywhere! It is more like wow than it isn't, but with some extras that you'd expect of any second coming. It includes all the natural progressions that you expect Blizzard would have included.
It is you who seems to be taking it at face value... you see a different race, a different story, some pvp advancements and you think its a completely different game.
I've played loads of mmos, name one and i've played it... i've never felt i was playing a preview of wow, or something that felt like wow 2. I do with WAR.
I loved wow, i love WAR... but lets not try to make it out to be something that it isn't, or deny it being what it is.
It is a matter of priorities then. For me the core game structure is much much more important than UI or similar graphical style.
What would you consider more a "WoW 2" game?
a) Directly port all the graphics and RPG mechanics from WoW but completely change the core premise of the game (gear grind) and make the game world dynamic and social accomplishment oriented without any "endgame" being implied (getting top gear for example)
b) Change all graphics and controls in WoW but keep the gear grind and the basic premise - grind levels till you max out, then grind tiered armors, tier by tier - in PvE raid instances.
Sorry, but for me the core game structure is waaay more important than graphics or ui. If a pure sandbox game a-la SWG pre-NCU with directy ported gfx and mechanics from WoW came out I'd buy it without a second's thought.

Its obvious you played wow for 2 years.
The first thing you compare this game to is WoW. Which is probably the only MMO you've played. You relate to what you know.
When I look at warhammer I see elements of many games in it.

Hehe your the first person to ever call me a Fanboi.
Nice one!
um... I'm not really a fan of this game I just hate it when people ignorantly compare a game to another game when they have no experience.
You claim to have played EQ, well if you had you would notice how much WoW took from that game.
Its human nature to put together ideas to make something new, your just plain silly to say that this game only has one influence.
The fact that "it looks to me like they took a game copy of WoW and just upgraded the graphics." Just proves that you really have played WoW too long, sorry get out of your niche and play some other games.
Also I'm confused as to what you want me to get over?
I strongly advise You "Clone"-people to read more about Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.
Much more. Take Your time to really get into detail about it. The more You read / see about it the more You will see how deep it is under the hood and how it really has very little to do with the game You are referring to.

I am wondering if they have dye restrictions for the different classes.
I have only seen Zealots wearing pink armor, but no other classes.
Hot pink Zealots are ok with me, but I definately don't want to see an army of pink chaos chosen.

You can participate in RvR combat the entire time you play the game, from level 1 to level 40.
The level 7 comes from participating in a City Siege, which requires you be above the 7th level.
STOP WHINING!
Enough people seem to like it. That is a good sign. But just judging from the videos I dont think this game will be for me. It looks like a pinball game to me tbh.

All you mentioned was the UI.
Unless of course you think WoW invented kneeling.
--------------------------------------
A human and an Elf get captured by Skaven.
Order of the White Border.
he also said the proportions are similar, and you kneel down when lighting a fire. that said, almost all games have similar proportions because... they have HUMANS in them. of course there are a few that have different proportions, like.... ragnarok online, hellokitty online ect.
and kneeling down to use an item. yeah, thats a lot like WoW. then again I remember Cloud kneeling down quite a lot in FF7, so its not a WoW clone, its an FF7 clone. also I remember kneeling down the last time I started a fire, so WoW is a ME clone.
Everything creates huge amounts of negativity on the internet, that's what the internet is for: Negativity, porn and lolcats.
No clearly Blizzard invented kneelings, before Blizzard came along to save the day none of us were capable of bending our legs.
Anyone who disagrees is a fanboy.
Ack! I kneel down when lighting a camp fire too... That makes me a YOU clone...
Wait, if I am older, does that make you a ME clone?
There are 3 types of people in the world.
1.) Those who make things happen
2.) Those who watch things happen
3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"
The quality is amazing! I agree on the assumption that you will need a pretty powerful rig to run this game.
I guess you haven't played anything but WoW because everything you mentioned has been in MMOs before WoW.

Which is also what I see when I look at WoW.

I started playing mmos since EQ. let me dumb this down for you it looks to me like they took a game copy of WoW and just upgraded the graphics. that is my opinion fanboy. no one said you had to like it but your not gonna change it so get over it
Just a side note and please remember this: When the Hype was going around with AOC and we saw videos of what was suppose to be ingame etc??
Let us hope that this won't be true with WAR, I did notice I believe that when he swung his axe did he hit 2 or 1other?.

It looks... lame...
terrible graphics, lots of random crappy sounds, spaztastic particle effects all over your screen..
How is that fun?
