Someone just had the funniest comment in reguards to George. What did he do for Humanity.. Oh yeah nothing. Well NO shit! I mean shit, wasnt that the point of his whole gosh darned routine lol. Bout fell out of my chair laughing. I can see him making one of his goofy facings going Duuhhh

I suppose the one thing Carlin can inspire in people though is despite our craptastic personalities as a race we have a few hyper-realistic people who do there best, fuck around and in the end, dont do half bad. Maybe George will be right and we will spin into a chaotic end. Then again, he was human to, we mite damned well make it and hell, hed be the first to laugh.

"Overall idiot"? Are you serious or just trolling? I would LOVE to hear this explanation!

    1. an utterly foolish or senseless person.

He fits the definition quite well. Please, offer, in your grand expertise, why he was such a genious.

edit: To add, just because he was liked by you, doesn't mean he was liked by everyone. I am sure many on this board will like him, but most are liberals and were attracted to the bashing he performed on a daily basis.

"why he was such a genious."

First of all Einstein the word is spelled  g-e-n-i-u-s. Second since you are asking a question you usually end your sentence with one of these (?). Third, if you actually saw him in interviews and read his books you would soon see just how much of a genius he really was by pointing the absurdity of  society and the people who live in it (including himself) and not slap the dreaded "liberal" label just because he liked to jokingly poke his finger in the eyes of conformists. So who really is the idiot here? I'll lay odds it wasn't Carlin!!

Oh noes! The Internet spelling and grammar police! Oh please forgive me for misspelling a single word and forgetting punctuation on an unofficial gaming forum!

And yes, I did read some of his books. My least favorite pile of crap being When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops.

As I said, some like him, some don't.

Most people got it....some didn't. Welcome to the the latter category, Rocket Scientist. Of course I would be pissed off too if I was a bone-head and his favorite people to cracked wise on was me.

pretty bad, and a little immature to use grammar to fight back at someone on the forums. Doesn't really make you look too good.

People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

Oh please! Spare us the "I'm taking the high road" routine! I've seen you wallow in the muck just like the rest of us and you're not fooling anyone. Dekron's original statement was just simply the most bone-headed statement I've read in a long time and I've read quite a few on this forum. That level of ingorance just needs to slapped down no matter how you have to do it. If he had said something like, "Kinda funny guy. Just didn't care for his brand of humor" I wouldn't have made an issue of it. But to have an idiot call Carlin one of his one kind just plain old pissed me off. If you didn't like how I responded....too bad! I think I won't have any trouble living with myself.

Love the post Techleo! I would agree wholeheartedly with this. He and his humour will be terribly missed. His insight was incredible and to add humour to the everydayness of human beings and society was fantastic. He may have been a bit acerbic to some but to me, he was spot on.

    Fare thee well George!

Ignorance? Because I believe Carlin to be an idiot? Find someone worthwhile to follow as a good example. If that is the best you can look up to, then you are truly pathetic.

I've never managed to get myself to laugh at anything said by Carlin...as much as liberals and conspiracy nuts want to say that he was a genius and all of that other nonsense...I can't find it.  Now, I don't consider myself to be a dunce, actually I spent time in gifted programs and have been tested to have a genius level IQ, so it's not that I just "don't get it" because i'm too "stoopit" it's that his humor was so incredibly predictable and derivitive that I just couldn't find the funny.

That said, I'm sorry for his family and everyone close to him.

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

I think predictablity was what made his comedic antics so funny. He was simply saying exactly what you said. People often act so shocked about the antics this world has and he was simply saying WHY THE HELL ARE YOU SURPRISED?!? That was what made it funny to me. You chose not to find it funny and thats human to, which probably would make him laugh. In one of his interviews he pointed out that there were perfectly fine individuals which were wonderful humans which understood the world like he did. Inteligently and geniuely. They also hated his style and he was fine with that. He just figured some people laugh and others dont about different things. They weren't any less valid a person. So I highly suspect hed probably just laugh and say, oh well, fuck off!

Ya know, I was going to write a whole long explanation of why you missed the whole point of this little tit-for-tat. I even posted it in small words so you could understand. Then it dawned on me that I was just hitting my head against a brick wall and said, "Fuck it! It's not worth the aggro!" It seems ignorance and stupidity is bliss! Enjoy your life!

    Carlin was ok.

I never found him overly funny. I never found him to be a genus either. Ive been to many Mesna meetings and get-to-togethers. I've seen genious people with their own little idiosynchrosies on world view current events and Carlin never did that.

He just complained about stuff he didn't agree with.
