Huh, so two positive survey results based on over 2500+ & 6000+ respondents seems unlikely because they contradict a single highly negative one here based on only 130+ votes!
At least in my opinion, the main conclusion to be drawn here is that these forums have a disproportionate number of 'Hatebois' & many of whom haven't even played the game, whereas the official AoC forums are mainly people who have played the game & many of whom still actively enjoy it.

Yes sir, the official Funcom site's polls are *definitely* more trustworthy and believable than that of an an *independent* site like this.
Not even a hint of doubt about bias and modding on Funcom's pages. Exactly what I heard
BTW it's well over 200 votes now, and the rate is even worse for AOC....
DB
So let me guess there are supposed to be thousands of Funcom bots posting fake votes as opposed to the emminently reliable & unbiased opinions of people that post threads like "AoC = Epic Fail'.
Well you only need to get 42 times more votes & the two surveys might be comparable, so all those 'Hatebois' had better start creating those alt accounts now
Sorry to break your bubble, but fanbois are just as welcome to register on MMORPG.com, as those who do not, or will not continue subscribing to AoC after they have bought it. I'm pretty sure they know how to create alts to vote just like the "rabid haters", or however you are labeling anyone that decides not to keep paying for an open beta anymore, or for some time for now.
This neutrality, sadly, cannot be said about the official AOC forums.
Pretty sure you got the message the first time, just felt like pinpointing the most obvious flaw in the pathetic "alt accounts voting" excuse.

The comment about 'alt voting' accounts wasn't an excuse, it was a sarcastic suggestion as to the only way that your sad little vote would ever achieve anything like representative volumes, so sorry to burst your bubble but you haven't pinpointed anything.
As I tried to suggest originally, both polls are biased because neither forum is strictly neutral. The AoC forums are biased in favour of people who have actually played the game & probably still do. The forums her are biased in favour of trolls who just like to attack everything like a shoal of Pirahna & even though your vote implies that people should have played the game before answering, many probably haven't.
As far as survey construction goes, any statistician will tell you that the results of a survey depend on how the questions are phrased. The AoC one allows for a comprehensive range of answers, whereas yours is a hopelessly biased piece of flame bait.
Yes many people are unhappy to varying degrees, but enough are still playing that the game is unlikely to fail anytime soon, no matter many times you quote the 'Hatebois' mantra of 'Paying for Open Beta'.
If fantasising about the demise of Funcom makes you happy, dream on.
If you can't "Have your cake & eat it too", then how can "The proof of the pudding be in the eating"?
If warhammer devs arent scamming liers and overhypers like aoc devs...warhammer will just pwn all mmos out there.. aoc is a piece of trash..even if they fix bugs and put content the game is bad by nature...

If your poll wasn't supposed to be biased & was just to fulfill your curiousity, why was it so obviously slanted in favour of negative response? You only allow three answers, two of which are negative & involve people quitting! People who like the game are less likely to bother voting because it is obvious trolling, people who dislike it are more likely to vote because they are desperate to see AoC fail.
The AoC survey on the other hand allowed a comprehensive range of answers, even the one that I would have given & had the highest percentage "2.Like it, but it needs some work, will keep playing - 60%".
It's fairly indicative of your alleged neutrality that you dismiss the larger better designed survey in favour of your own smaller biased one. Then again it's a bit ridiculous to claim neutrality when you casually throw the favourite 'Hatebois' chorus of 'Paying for Open Beta'.
Stop pretending to be neutral, you aren't fooling anyone. Before you ask, no I am not neutral either since I still play the game despite its flaws & enjoy doing so, but at least I am honest about it.

Ill tell you why the AoC Offical Forums poll has a bigger % on the positive option its because everyone that says anything bad about AoC there gets instantly banned and its labeled as a Troll and/or hateboy.
That alone just shows how biased that poll will be with moderators, banning people which posts show they are slightly unhappy with the game.

OK, lets see how that pans out with the maths.
If the AoC US forum had 6000 votes & only 25% of them were overtly negative, then in order for the negative total to rise to even 50% Funcom would have needed to ban 3000 people from the forums who would all have voted negatively.
Doesn't sound quite so plausible when you try to attach real numbers, well at least in my biased opinion.
If you can't "Have your cake & eat it too", then how can "The proof of the pudding be in the eating"?
It's Funcom. They messed up the Launch and the Game. Just like AO. Don't expect them to do much better with AoC than they did with AO as regards getting it all up and running. Gone and will stay gone. All who continue with AoC, enjoy the game! See you all again when WAR is up.
Yeah, I learned my lesson about Funcom from AO and they're the main reason I won't buy this game. From some of the posts I'm reading, it looks like I made the right decision.
I think im gonna keep on playing really no reason to stop. Has better PVP and PVE than any other game around by far and even though things are almost perfect as they are now Funcom adds patches alot to add to an already great game.

That would be the logical mmo equivelent of a survey that included people that didn't even play mmos, so its not a good analogy.
The people you say aren't valid voters would drive, they just only drive cars that say, get at least a certain number of miles per gallon. They might say 'anything that gets less than 10 mpg sucks', and you would write them off. Even if anything that gets less than 10 mpg does suck

I really didnt like the interface, character controll or the way the game world was made out to be. Its an ok game I guess but its no Warhammer.
Sarcasm FTW
Well, I voted in the first category, however poll didn't really have my choice.
I would have said, "Game is mostly fun, playing for another month or so to see how it goes."
Not willing to commit to a long term, in fact, pretty sure returning to EVE, playing WAR and AION are all in my future.

25 for cancelling? It's kind of hard to believe, with over 80% here, over 130+ votes...

Which polls are the most trustworthy?
As with all statistics, people just choose the ones that support their point of view.
A poll on funcom is like going to a car convention and ask the attendee if they like cars or not.

Well thats one way of looking at it, but another way might be
If you were a car manufacturer trying to find out what customers thought of a new model.....
Why use a survey that included people that potentially didn't even drive?

Playing EQII on the free 60 day legendary time and LoTRO on my lifetime sub. Looking forward to LoTRO's mines of Moria expansion, Spore, Fallout 3, Witcher Enhanced and maybe even try Warhammer if it looks good.

Woe to thee, the pierce-ed.
I never tried the retail version and probably never will play it. So you forgot one option.
Should have read your title to the thread better. Scratch my post.
