I made a toon on Bloodfin this morning and saw about 50-60 folks running around Eisley. I checked out quite a few other cantinas and Eisley was the only one happening. My server Valcyn tho had noone in the cantina and only 6 peeps in Eisley. I am sure you saw alot of people running around but by comparison, in the old days, you could walk into the cantinas in espa, theed, coronet, Mining outpost and many others and see wall to wall folks. I also find the UI the worst part of the game. Obraik and company will tell you there are settings to get your UI back almost 90% to the original UI. It is not enough for me, I want 100% or it is a waste of time.
Hey Obraik did they get Collision Detecting working yet? Did they not promise that would be done within 6 months of the onset of the NGE? Are you still getting shot thru walls by NPCs and unable to shoot back? Are members of your group still getting bumped out of instances or left behind? How many buffs do you need to stack up to be viable in pvp?
people keep ignoring the fact that this game will never be fixed again the devs them self have said they cannot fix it and that the game code is broken so on why you do all keep wanting others to play the game its not that the game is boring or whatever but the fact its broken with 100s of bugs that ruins the gameplay ALOT and wont be fixed ever

You stated your opinion, and then someone stated their opposing opinion, and Obraik made a trolling comment about the nature of opinions, which called into question as to whether he is a viral marketer. This led to Obraik being the subject of discussion. In fact in there you claimed that everyone but you and her are "blind," thus stoking the fires of your own thread's hijacking.
This led me to sorta defend him, saying it was his true opinion, and saying how it was odd that he defends bad people who have done bad things, which led him to mischaraterize the discussion (his usual tactic) which led me to correct him, which led mal into the discussion showing he doesn't care about ethics, or has a very odd view of them, or is just trolling. It is truly impossible to determine which, where he is concerned. But no matter.
Everyone here is simply sharing their opinion about the topic you began. Everyone is exercising their freedom. This is how threads, and conversations, usually go on public forums.
If you state a controversial opinion on a public forum, you should expect as much.
But as I said earlier, yes, Bloodfin is one of the more active servers, even if it is still dead compared with what it once was. That speaks to the awesome power of the Star Wars brand, and them having a monopoly on it. It says nothing about the goodness of the game itself.

Bloodfin stats from last Friday for GCW officers, remember that the vast majority of players on a server are not ranked GCW officers, and if you don't log in at least every 14 days you fall off the chart as well (think vacation time). So 18,505 pvp kills during the week, it would seem to me that there are people in good numbers playing on Bloodfin. _________________________________________________________________________________ 667 of 8436 Officers shown (7.9%). The Officers shown have all in all 1606186 PvP Kills (2408 average). Last week the Officers shown gained all in all 18505 PvP Kills (27 average). And as to your last question, first, no one was discussing "paid informants," we were discussing paid viral marketers. Secondly; no, when they discovered I can not be bought, the relationship ended. Deadmeat himself flamed me on the boards some time ago in fact, much to my amusement.

Well you are entitled to your opinion,I am stating mine and from what I see in game they need to revamp the stipid UI and I think they would have a chance of making the game really good. So far the game is not that bad and there are still many player playing the game for those of you who create a charactor and then go looking around to spam there is nobody,Why don't you start questing and I think you will change your mind:P

I would agree with you 100% The main thing I see holding this game back is the ui and its my main gripe and the 1 thing that will make me choose EQ2.,Other than that they have made alot of improvements since the NGE 1st launched the combat does not look stupid and Benny Hill like anymore . Time will tell,but I do know this if the ui is not changed and I do not mean change the combat system,just the ui this game will never rise above where its at right now. I am enjoying the legacy quest line its pretty good so far I am probably going to play until my months sub is up and then decide if I continue or not. Well to all of you that have participated in this post thx. I have really enjoyed the for and against arguements and as a Vet myself I feel as most of you do the game was more fun as pre-cu and I had alot of hatred to soe same as you guys,but I am not 1 to hold a grudge forever. Now I plan to focus some time with EQ2 and SOE should hands down get some praise for what they have done with this game my experience in it has been excellant so far I started a Fae Dirge and the area they start in is fantastic. I am really surprised that eq2 is not stomping wow right now because its hands down a better game imo. Peace all and I hope you all are having a good time in whatever game you play:P

They definitely need to revamp the UI, and come up without about five more quest lines. They then need to stop "revamping" the combat system every six months, and stop making wide sweeping changes that require players to relearn the game every few months. They need to learn that persistent worlds only survive if the players feel their trust in the DEVs is well placed. They need to feel that the effort they put into the game will not be erased with each new patch.
Thus far, they continually fail in that regard, hense only two or three servers with surviving populations, and every few months, a new wave of unhappy vets are created, who pour out into the world and spread more negative word-of-mouth.
They need to learn and practice continually the art of honesty. That's how you create a growing MMO. Thus far they have failed.

The game still looks great even after 5 years. From what I can tell every aspect of the game is a 100 times better than what it was when the NGE first launched and I am actually enjoying myself after starting a new charactor from scratch. The NGE interface still sucks and is clunky and just plain aweful. I am with time starting to get used to it ,but still having fun playing the game. The community has been excellant so far and seem to be willing to help you if you need it. Thats all for now,I will post some more about the game as I play it further, But as a Pre-CU vet the game in its current state is not bad at all and its a welcome change to playing wow. If you have been thinking about trying the game out again now is a good time. I went into this game with a positive attitude and by doing so I have seen some good improvements to many things. I am currently playing SWG and EQ2 and I would like to make a seperate post about EQ2 at a later date,but from what I have seen so far of it I really wonder why EQ2 is not the WoW of mmos right now its absolutly Phenomenal right now. I think if SWG had the interface EQ2 has it would be alot better. Thats all for now:P
You are so full of crap its insane. I play on the Bloodfin server, at least with the free play. Went back and checked it out because AOC is a dud. I play prime time and there are so few people playing on Bloodfin you want to run to a player that you do eventually see just so you can be in the presence of a real person. Even Restuss has maybe 20-30 players pvp'ing, ridiculous. You can't get any better than a small house on the market and only five of those available. Need components for crafting? good fu**ing luck. Its impossible to craft with so few players, noone is crafting. Couldn't make a guild hall with my crafter alt because i only have 1 power core, not 2, and there are ZERO components to create them on the market. Plenty of resources though but what good are they if you can't get parts from the other crafters you need to create goods?
The market is empty the population is non-exsistent. And all those people you THINK you see....news flash...those are npc's.

You need to read my post again because I think you did not pay attn. to the title it says 3 days into my return since NGE,That means 3 days I am still in and around Mos Eisley and yes there are people everywhere in these areas. Now I have been in game for a little over a week now and I plan on reposting another opinion soon. After you leave Tattoine the population is more sparse than the beginning levels and I plan to comment on this later on. Now stick with the topic which was 3 days into the game:P

I was there at 5 a.m. yesterday i was server hopping cause I had run out of slots on my home server and for some reason decided to check out other servers. It was the busiest server around at 5 a.m. in the morning. Mos eisley outdoors was crowded, the starport was crowded and the cantina was crowded.
No I didnt take screenshots everytime I do someone decides I dont know how to count little dots and I have to sit and count dots.
It was indeed crowded on bloodfin so was chilastra and valcyn and the other servers to a lesser extent. I was busy reviving old characters that I had made eons ago just to fart around and see. The euro server chimaera was also very very busy except most people were stuffed inside the cantina and starport for some reason.
Also since you will only ever believe yourself anyhow go login and look for yourself and take another video of an empty server or whatever since people do appear to enjoy that.
Anyhow for what its worth I decided to start a second set of characters on bloodfin although I want to check starsider first as well because it has a guild for another game I used to play on it and its considered an unofficial RP server.
Post some screenshots to back up your claim of Bloodfin being well populated.
Tell me how to put a creenshot on here and I will be glad to add some screen shots.

No I didnt take screenshots everytime I do someone decides I dont know how to count little dots and I have to sit and count dots.
I looked up some of the screenshots you posted. Having 12 people in one place is not a huge crowd in a mmorpg. Then there was one where there were several people but most of them were engaged in afk gameplay.
To the poster who commented on only finding 5 small houses on the bazzar, please note that you need to select the option to search "Vendor Location" and expand the search to "Entire galaxie".
I logged into Bloodfin and found 92 Generic guild halls for sale starting for sale at 325,000 credits
120 Corellian guild halls for sale, 106 large generic houses for sale, 135 medium generic houses for sale, 140 large Naboo houses for sale just to memtion a few.
I also found hundreds of crates of every single type of sub-componet needed to craft structures, droids, armor, food, BE food.
THe devs upgraded the vendor search function more than a year ago, just spend a little time on it and you will find anything you need.
I went back to SWG today.... I went back to my old galaxy (since I currently play on Chiliastra), Ahazi and it's changed alot..... I miss the old game..... And no I have been playing the new game off and on since the revamp....

I am on topic with absolute precision. Whether its 5mins or 5 years into the game the cold hard truth is Bloddfin server is barren, its should be renamed to Tumbleweed. Mos Eisley has, if your lucky, 20-30 players running around. You really think that is alot of players? Thats about 1/8th the size of a good guild!! Pull your head out of the Tatooine sand and face reality kid, Bloodfin is like an old ladies womb, barren and useless.
I would disagree with you here you obviously are not playing the game now and probably still bitter over what SOE did,but There are way more than 20-30 people in and around Mos Eisley. I have been doing the Legacy quests all day and I see people all over the place. Today at Jabba's Palace alone there were around 15-20 people questing there. Look this game is still far from what it used to be and I agree the nge ui sucks ,but the dev team has done a good job with what I am sure was a corp. directive. The Legacy quests are fun in themselves and I have enjoyed myself for the short time I plan on staying. I really do think if they at least rolled back to cu or pre-cu ui the game would have a real chance at coming back even with the eight classes.

I made a toon on Bloodfin this morning and saw about 50-60 folks running around Eisley. I checked out quite a few other cantinas and Eisley was the only one happening. My server Valcyn tho had noone in the cantina and only 6 peeps in Eisley. I am sure you saw alot of people running around but by comparison, in the old days, you could walk into the cantinas in espa, theed, coronet, Mining outpost and many others and see wall to wall folks. I also find the UI the worst part of the game. Obraik and company will tell you there are settings to get your UI back almost 90% to the original UI. It is not enough for me, I want 100% or it is a waste of time.
Hey Obraik did they get Collision Detecting working yet? Did they not promise that would be done within 6 months of the onset of the NGE? Are you still getting shot thru walls by NPCs and unable to shoot back? Are members of your group still getting bumped out of instances or left behind? How many buffs do you need to stack up to be viable in pvp?
people keep ignoring the fact that this game will never be fixed again the devs them self have said they cannot fix it and that the game code is broken so on why you do all keep wanting others to play the game its not that the game is boring or whatever but the fact its broken with 100s of bugs that ruins the gameplay ALOT and wont be fixed ever

This led me to sorta defend him, saying it was his true opinion, and saying how it was odd that he defends bad people who have done bad things, which led him to mischaraterize the discussion (his usual tactic) which led me to correct him, which led mal into the discussion showing he doesn't care about ethics, or has a very odd view of them, or is just trolling. It is truly impossible to determine which, where he is concerned. But no matter.

But as I said earlier, yes, Bloodfin is one of the more active servers, even if it is still dead compared with what it once was. That speaks to the awesome power of the Star Wars brand, and them having a monopoly on it. It says nothing about the goodness of the game itself.

When compared to the other servers it is alive and well. Compared to any PreNGE server it is Dead Dead Dead.

The NGE was in production for 2-3 months, during that time, they knowingly misled their customers by telling them that Ranger was going to be revamped. They stated this all the time knowing the class was going to be removed.

And as to your last question, first, no one was discussing "paid informants," we were discussing paid viral marketers. Secondly; no, when they discovered I can not be bought, the relationship ended. Deadmeat himself flamed me on the boards some time ago in fact, much to my amusement.

Aditionally, I never troll; I always have a constructive purpose in mind when I post, no matter where and when. In this case, I was mostly supporting the OP in what he says about Bloodfin; things are not so bad over there, in a post-NGE kinda way.
I was also, in keeping with the flow of the conversation, stating that I do not believe that Obraik is a paid viral marketer for SOE, to which Obraik made a rather silly reply, willfully mischaracterizing the issue. then I answered your willful mischaracterizations, and your rather interesting ethical standards (the 'lying = capitalism' false argument). Well you are entitled to your opinion,I am stating mine and from what I see in game they need to revamp the stipid UI and I think they would have a chance of making the game really good. So far the game is not that bad and there are still many player playing the game for those of you who create a charactor and then go looking around to spam there is nobody,Why don't you start questing and I think you will change your mind:P
I would agree with you 100% The main thing I see holding this game back is the ui and its my main gripe and the 1 thing that will make me choose EQ2.,Other than that they have made alot of improvements since the NGE 1st launched the combat does not look stupid and Benny Hill like anymore . Time will tell,but I do know this if the ui is not changed and I do not mean change the combat system,just the ui this game will never rise above where its at right now. I am enjoying the legacy quest line its pretty good so far I am probably going to play until my months sub is up and then decide if I continue or not. Well to all of you that have participated in this post thx. I have really enjoyed the for and against arguements and as a Vet myself I feel as most of you do the game was more fun as pre-cu and I had alot of hatred to soe same as you guys,but I am not 1 to hold a grudge forever. Now I plan to focus some time with EQ2 and SOE should hands down get some praise for what they have done with this game my experience in it has been excellant so far I started a Fae Dirge and the area they start in is fantastic. I am really surprised that eq2 is not stomping wow right now because its hands down a better game imo. Peace all and I hope you all are having a good time in whatever game you play:P
They definitely need to revamp the UI, and come up without about five more quest lines. They then need to stop "revamping" the combat system every six months, and stop making wide sweeping changes that require players to relearn the game every few months. They need to learn that persistent worlds only survive if the players feel their trust in the DEVs is well placed. They need to feel that the effort they put into the game will not be erased with each new patch.
Thus far, they continually fail in that regard, hense only two or three servers with surviving populations, and every few months, a new wave of unhappy vets are created, who pour out into the world and spread more negative word-of-mouth.
They need to learn and practice continually the art of honesty. That's how you create a growing MMO. Thus far they have failed.

I play prime time and there are so few people playing on Bloodfin you want to run to a player that you do eventually see just so you can be in the presence of a real person. Even Restuss has maybe 20-30 players pvp'ing, ridiculous. You can't get any better than a small house on the market and only five of those available. Need components for crafting? good fu**ing luck. Its impossible to craft with so few players, noone is crafting. Couldn't make a guild hall with my crafter alt because i only have 1 power core, not 2, and there are ZERO components to create them on the market. Plenty of resources though but what good are they if you can't get parts from the other crafters you need to create goods?
The market is empty the population is non-exsistent. And all those people you THINK you see....news flash...those are npc's.

I was there at 5 a.m. yesterday i was server hopping cause I had run out of slots on my home server and for some reason decided to check out other servers. It was the busiest server around at 5 a.m. in the morning. Mos eisley outdoors was crowded, the starport was crowded and the cantina was crowded.
No I didnt take screenshots everytime I do someone decides I dont know how to count little dots and I have to sit and count dots.
It was indeed crowded on bloodfin so was chilastra and valcyn and the other servers to a lesser extent. I was busy reviving old characters that I had made eons ago just to fart around and see. The euro server chimaera was also very very busy except most people were stuffed inside the cantina and starport for some reason.
Also since you will only ever believe yourself anyhow go login and look for yourself and take another video of an empty server or whatever since people do appear to enjoy that.
Anyhow for what its worth I decided to start a second set of characters on bloodfin although I want to check starsider first as well because it has a guild for another game I used to play on it and its considered an unofficial RP server.

create an account in photobucket and just use the img tags and it should work even if it does not hopefully they will forgive you and copy and paste the links inside the img tags and look. I just use direct links its easier and you can stick them all in one post..
I looked up some of the screenshots you posted. Having 12 people in one place is not a huge crowd in a mmorpg. Then there was one where there were several people but most of them were engaged in afk gameplay.
To the poster who commented on only finding 5 small houses on the bazzar, please note that you need to select the option to search "Vendor Location" and expand the search to "Entire galaxie".
I logged into Bloodfin and found 92 Generic guild halls for sale starting for sale at 325,000 credits
120 Corellian guild halls for sale, 106 large generic houses for sale, 135 medium generic houses for sale, 140 large Naboo houses for sale just to memtion a few.
I also found hundreds of crates of every single type of sub-componet needed to craft structures, droids, armor, food, BE food.
THe devs upgraded the vendor search function more than a year ago, just spend a little time on it and you will find anything you need.
I went back to SWG today.... I went back to my old galaxy (since I currently play on Chiliastra), Ahazi and it's changed alot..... I miss the old game.....
And no I have been playing the new game off and on since the revamp....
