Would make more sense since that looks like an actual business, but then the address would be incorrect.
Admit it Friction you are having fun investigating all this xD. Brings some fun into those lame posting nights doesn't it?

Look at the shadows. All those buildings are substantial buildings. What you call a 'house' is obviously an office block.

    You love guys?

The building labeled at the address we specified a while ago can not be the building, #1 the angle is off like I said. #2 if you take a look at the shot, it is shot from the window cause you can see a reflection from the inside and thus this proves any kind of zoom theory. From the angle shot it would have to be exactly the other building I labeled.

Anyway back on topic the building labeled at the address we specified a while ago can not be the building, #1 the angle is off like I said.

No it's not. The view angle matches perfectly.

#2 if you take a look at the shot, it is shot from the window cause you can see a reflection from the inside and thus this proves any kind of zoom theory.

What "zoom theory"? It's obviously a typical view angle for a webcam.

From the angle shot it would have to be exactly the other building I labeled.

Check out the green view line I drew from your proposed location for Aventurine. It bisects two corners of that building (marked in green). Do the same with the webcam pic and it DOESN'T point to the viewer.

Wrong again, look at the shot it is from the street, the angle you use could not be possible in that shot, thus this new pic would be the exact perfect view.

Math doesn't do shit for you when you pick the wrong damn vantage point.

So you're now arguing that Aventurine DOES have an office on Kiffisias Avenue within a hundred yards of where google maps reckons it is?

    ...

Let me just re-read the opening post again.

    lol

Don't change the subject now, I just showed you exactly how the pic intersects you know I'm right now. There is no possible way the address specified is the building, because of the distance from the building in a pic, I would be glad to prove this to you math wise and distance leaps if you wish but I figure you could see that just by the pic. Let me know.

Wow, you guys are seriously pro. I believe Hashbrick is right on the building. Google maps either plopped the point on the wrong spot or any number of things. Personally I'm accepting that Hashbrick's building is their offices. So cool the engines is this seriously enough to start getting pissed?

How about we just order a fuckin' pizza for Aventurine at the address given and see if the pizza guy can deliver it? Geez.

I think it's pretty obvious really. These pics prove there was a second gunman.

Aye, I agree google earth/maps probably has the wrong point which is indeed very possible.

That would good, I bet those guys would appreciate some late supper as well. I mean creating air is a lot of work and so is playing ping-pong.

Ok I got a question for Fric and Hash.  Looking at the photo.  Where is the bridge?  From both angles you both pointed out.  Shouldn't it be visible?

    In War - Victory.
    In Peace - Vigilance.
    In Death - Sacrifice.

  • RaunuRaunu Member UncommonPosts: 480

    Roin has a good point.

There should be a bridge in the picture, but its clearly not there.

I brought that up as well before hand, but the argument was the webcam image is old and tooken before the foot bridge was made. The webcam image was in 2003 so its possible the foot bridge was built after that. Looking closely at the image and the map you can see how I let it slide so easily the area is identical.

Oh and just for reference, the building in the picture is a Suzuki dealership. Just in case it matters. lol Which it doesn't.

I figured it was a car dealership of some sort, but now I know exactly what it is, thanks mate :).

    OK, to get this straight:

Kifissias Avenue is a very long road; numbering resets at some point and starts all over again.

So there are quite possibly two 362 numbers on the Avenue, one being in Halandri area, the other being probably farther north (don't remember exactly).

Chill out with the conspiracy theories...

Ah I see, it is all good I'm positive with process of elimination and the awesome pics Friction found we have the correct building. The map and image reflect exactly except for the bridge but that has been explained it may not have been there at that time.

Plus: a shitload of things were built AFTER 2003 (Razorwax webcam pic) for the Olympic Games in Athens 2004. You probably won't recognize the area if you compare two pictures of the same spot before 2004 and after 2004.

    By all means do so!

But first, why not do this little experiment. Go to Google maps and type in your house number, street name and town/area. I did that with my house and a different local house and got the below results. The red X was the house I was aiming for.

So, the search on Google maps is not accurate and will often put the map marker merely in the area of the search target.

    Lets recap.

You started the thread claiming that Aventurine's address was fake because you couldn't find it.

Eulampios used the Greek work for "Avenue" and found the address for you.

    You blew a gasket.

Known pictures of views from Aventurine's office were posted and compared to the maps.

You pointed out that the view angle in the pics was wrong for the map marker on google maps, and pointed out a much more likely location.

You went further and massively strengthened your case by drawing viewing lines.

I've just shown that the search on Google maps can be inaccurate and will stick the markers somewhat off their exact target.

    So ...

You started by claiming that Aventurine's address was fake.

You ended by pinpointing the EXACT location of Aventurine's offices, despite the flaws on Google's maps.

*gold clap* so can you circle on the picture which office is infact the Aventure office?

We already addressed that. The pics date from 2003 while the satellite images are likely to be much more recent. The footbridge was probably built in the in-between years.
