Well .... the OP was at least right in that SW:TOR seems to be a singleplayer with multiplayer aspects. Linky to where BW or LA said this please. On official website in FAQ they say you can solo majority of it but there was planned content that required player co-op.
And i really wouldn't hate it if he was right about the other part too !!

People seem to think that, because BioWare wants to focus on a Story-Driven game, automatically, the MMO aspect is lost, or just a "tacked on" addition.
Why does that have to be so?
From what I read in the FAQ and the Interviews, you will be able to "solo" the game mostly, but you are encouraged not to!!
There is an option to play for yourself and likely there will be content which is only accessible by groups, but all in all, this sounds a lot like many other MMO's out there. You -CAN- solo, but you are never without the choice to group and thus, have the MMO aspect you want. *shrug*

This is an old thread actually. It was started when the first leak about an Old Republic MMO came out via the EA CEO. Someone wanted us to continue to believe that SWG would be the only StarWars MMO in town. I don't think any of us believed him/her lol, and now it seems people have resurrected this thread to point out just how wrong it was. Kind of an online "I told you so" it would seem.
I agree, the debate is over, if there ever really was one, which I doubt . Anyone who continues to say it's not an MMO is badly uniformed or out of touch with reality. Oh yeah, it could also be that they're lying. Lol, imagine someone lying about a StarWars MMO.
