I find it hard to believe they made it up completely on their own - EA gave them the times unofficially I assure you

Well either GAmestop is lying / made a mistake or Mythic is because that entry is the STANDARD edition and every single lil thing it mentioned is ONLY for the Collector's Edition according to Mythic's Website. If tahst the case I'll return my damn Collector's Edition for the Standard because it makes it completely damn worthless if the headstart & open beta include people only payign 50 bucks.
I find it more creditable that Gamestop Fubar'd on where to put the information.
Also notice regular editions now get open beta access and early start
They decided this after the CE is sold out and sold as a CE only perk

All I have to say is wait until Mythic makes the announcement of the release date.
That link goes to the regular edition, not the CE. I figure that preordering that gives the lesser bonuses, i.e. a shorter time in OB and a shorter head start. CE pre-orders will get what has been promised( I hope). Otherwise its a classic bait-and-switch. Which is considered consumer fraud and against the law. I doubt Mythic/EA is up for dealing with that shit right before thier cash cow goes to market...
Well if Open starts on the 3rd for everyone i will be pissed because I will be in Vegas drinking and gambling all week. with no time to play.
Sad the unique things CE owners were supposedly to only be getting access to is now going to the ones who didnt give either way.

If all the retailers are consistant and offer (or will offer soon) the same thing, or I hear from Mythic, then I'll be 100% convinced...but it seems a little strange to give everyone a head start, because then who would have the head start? Everyone...kind of defeats the purpose, no?

Actually you are way off. Most MMO's have offered open beta and head start lately to anyone who preorders any version. Its not that unusual.

The problem IS Mythic since they announced the Pre Order Program these items GAmestop is promising were Collector's Edition Pre Order Items Only including the Head Start & the Open Beta access. If its NOT a miss post by Gamestop (which is possible) then its complete bullshit faced lying on Mythic's part. I ordered the CE because I wanted the Head Start & the Open Beta access which from the begining they said were limited to 60K People ONLY (for the US) now they're saying Everyone which is a complete Sham IF its true.
I hope its NOT fucking true or I may reconsider my CE order for a Standard..the faces and some quests are NOT worth the damn 80 bucks to me.
Maybe it was misquoted seems that should be the CE edition version. maybe it just got mixed up.
I just checked Amazon and they changed there stuff to the 16th also. And also it shows The Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning servers will go live on September 18th, 2008 at 10 AM Eastern time.
But it mentions nothing on the regular edition of any bonuses. This leads me to believe someone at gamestop made a screw up. Since the CE is off the site i think something went wrong and it most likely will be fixed because by now some other retailers would have this up.

I just checked other sites and they are the only ones who have this listed like that. But then again it does say the pre-order boxes will be up Aug 4th so that has me wondering.
Here is the CE info if you notice in the text it says what pre-orders get and never limits it to only CE pre-orders we have all technically just been assuming it was CE only. It never says pre order standard copies are excluded. Sucks but thats how it seems:
