What is the worst MMORPG based on customer service in your opinion?

image I played Ragnarok Online International for like 3 years, since Open Beta1 and I even paid an account for over 1 year but I've come to discover their service is simply too bad for what you pay.

Due to a error in the payment page while I was paying my sister's account, 4 payments of 32USD were made image (128USD) and they werent even showing in the PAYMENT HISTORY.. After 3 days of mailing to the payment department they decided to cancel the 3 payments and make 1 active image nice till here.. this happened in last December 2003.. image Now the stupid part comes when, in the next month my sister gets her account banned for CHARGEBACK .. which they made themselfs due to the error..

I've been mailing to their payment department since then and guess what? NO ANSWER! I mail a GM and they tell me to mail the payment department, I mail the payment department and still no answer ..

GRAVITY IN MY OPINION IS SIMPLY THE MOST INCOPETENT MMORPG-WANNABE COMPANY EVER!

I advice anyone who is pondering on playing the game to chose another! Ragnarok Online's players are 60% bots (YES, GRAVITY KNOWS ABOUT IT BUT STILL.. DOES NOTHING) and game gets prety boring after awhile.

    my worst customer service came from Jumpgate. while playing jumpgate, I heard the developers were pimps back then..

    first they delayed ep2 for 9 months, then after releaseing episode 2, they made Jumpgate to a huge dissapointment only releasing half of the contents that were promised for ep2. and then ran off under ncsofts wing to make another mmorpg. I can't believe I wasted that much money for a dissapointment!

    i'm not coming back to that game because there is only like 20-35 people online on a daily bases. I think the game doesn't have a community anymore, and theres no hope for it being bright back on its legs.

    SWG you can't even talk to a GM.. you send in a ticket and eventually (in a few weeks) they will send you an in game email saying too bad how sad just keep sending us your money and we'll keep producing the bugs.

    Lineage II Is the worse one I have dealt with, they have A LOT of bot programs running around and don't seem to do a thing a bout it or even to care.

    The bots make other players fill they need bots (that can be gotten on Ebay) to compete, soon there may be only bots playing the game, for the most part.

    Lineage 2...

    i was a hardcore Lineage 2 fan up untill a few weeks ago... something serious happened (not going to get into details) that involved me having to get help from GM's/support... well lets just say thats the VERY day i quit playing... played alot of games, talked with alot of GM's, but nothing was as stupid as what i saw on that day...

    Hands down, the worst has got to be the company making Project Entropia...

    Those guys are total idiots. Bugs in the game steal money and gear from you and they do not reimburse anything. Not such a big deal in most games, but in Project Entropia, every in game credit or item has a real world value to it... You buy in game money with real money. And you can cash money out.

    I charged back every dime I put into their crappy game.

    Everquest is the worst IMO. How can you take away the ingame CS from paying customers? No longer are customers /petitions answered unless it happens that your server is the one having the highest /petition count. The GM's do the following

    Server A has 400 petitions waiting to be answered.

    Server B has 405 petitions waiting to be answered.

    Server C has 500 petitions waiting to be answered

    The roaming GM staff (consisting of 3 GM's) will go to server C and answer petitions based on order of entry. Thus the petition that has been in the queue the longest will be answered first. You may have petitioned 12 hours earlier but if the GM who reads the petition feels it's not a "good" petition he will delete it and move onto the next. If you are not online they delete it. If you do not answer the first tell they send they will delete it. Delete = start the /petition process all over.

    As an example in one of the guilds I was in we had a fellow who happened to be African American. He left EQ for the plain and simple fact that someone kept making characters and sending him racial /tells. He had a total of 140+ screenshots from 90 different characters that this person made. he /reported every single one and then /petitioned. /report captures the last 10 lines of text on your screen and send's it into the GM's. I saw some of these screenshots. I saw words used such as castration,hanging,burning,rape etc in various tells to him. This all occoured over a 2 week period. There were multiple /petitions and /reports put in.

    In EQ if you aren't online when the GM comes to your server he deletes the petition. He had his character logged in for 20 hours the first day. 16 the next day and the day after, all in hopes of catching a GM. Then 12 hours a day after that. he never once heard from a GM. He e-mailed the server GM who's response he got 38 days after this all occoured was to tell him to /report and then /petition and that a GM ingame would take care of it.

    Basically after almost 2 weeks straight of racial slurs without any action by the staff of EQ he had enough and cancelled his subscrition. From corrospondence on our message boards he relayed to us that the legal department of SoE has asked that he sign documentation stating that SoE was in no way shape or form responsible for what occoured etc. By this I'm guessing he is pursuing legal action.

    Imagine if those of us whop played MMORPGS weren't such rabid fans? Imagine if we could take companies to task for horrible CS. Imagine if your bank treated you the way that most game companies do? I'd bet that bank would go belly up within a month. Only the rabid fanatisism of the MMORPG player has kept games like EQ that have shown repeatedly to have such shoddy CS; alive.

    I persoanlly will never play another SoE game. Also CS has become for me a VERY important part of any future game I play online.

    Lineage 2 by far. not only is the lvl grind insanely too slow but the amount of money farm bots and general lack of giving a crap by the staff of this game makes it the worst game i have EVER played.

    For all the mmorpg's I have played and tried the 2 that have the worst WORST customer service would have to be RYL, and probly Ragnarok. The GM in RYL dont care about you and your problems. The service in ragnarok is well slow...

    Star Wars Galaxies has the worst.  I started a 14 day trial from gamespot and my friend who was leaving due to Revamp being delayed decided to send me some money so I can just mess around and see If I like it.  My friend sent the money and I got was 50k.  Emailed gm and said to have my friend create a ticket.  Well fine ok so I got my friend to log in and create a ticket.  Turns out the next GM emails me and says there is a 50k cap and too bad you lost your moneyimage and that the other GM told me wrong??....obviously I never extended my trial. Worst customer service ever

    image In Ragnarok Online International, the bots screwed the economy on the servers.. In any of the servers if you check the merchants in Prontera.. they will be selling some semi-rare drops that usualy wouldnt be worth more then 100k at 1.5mil .. example? Slotted Muffler image GMs see this and do nothing.. like, how can a player afford that ammount of money without ever had bot?

    I never used a bot to build my character image it took me 2years to get it to lv69 but I must admit I had to run 14days trial accounts to bot so that I could afford my equipment image it's a never-ending-loop. If no one bots, they cant afford the equipment, so as GRAVITY does nothing about the bots, they will simply co-exist for all eternity. image

    Lineage II:

    1. Some of the GMs...wait, let me say that again, 99% of the GMs can't even speak 1st grade english. They mute you when you talk back to them and they don't seem to understand shit.

    2. Adena farmers/bots

    3. Last month, if a person used a cd-key that someone else is already using, it bans the original cd-key owner making them unable to reactivate their account or continue their subscription. Now, they give out duplicated cd-keys.

    4. They do nothing about scammers/adena farmers/bots.

    5. Their customer support just plain sucks.

    GMs do not know any english...when you say something you can tell they're trying to use a translator because it will either take them 5 minutes to respond to your answer or their answer has nothing to do with your question. For example (true story)

    I petition a GM back in open beta because I was stuck in a huge abyss on the floor of the ocean after falling off the ship.  Since I was a lvl 15 mage I could pretty mush cast unlimited heal spells to keep myself alive long enough to cross the ocean...only thing was I was stuck "underneath the world" So I inquired a GM for help getting unstuck.

    Their reply was "I am sorry for the inconvienance, however we do understand that their are scams in the open player market and i am afriad we cannot change this as they are not breaking any rules."  I sat there perplex thinking they must have typed to the wrong person lol. So i typed back the same message and he responded the same answer lol and then instead of closing the petition he left it open, forever barring me from turning in another bug report again

    Both SOE and NCSoft have the worst CS by far (you can see this in all of their games) but SOE is hands down the worst...

    I waited for 4 months to contact a GM about a bug in everquest in the very first few months of the game and when he finally replied, he said there was nothing he could do because too much time had passed and the item data wasn't restored (or something like that) and so I quit the next day.

    Ragnorak sounds alot like L2. only way to afford anything is to bot farm. L2's economy was the main reason i stopped playing. i could have pissed a better basis for economy in the snow.

    I would have to say everything I have played made by Sony online entertainment has been the worst CSR i have ever seen,followed very closely by Ncsoft's lineage 2 csr.

    SWG, SOE has some serious flaws in customer service....

    Back around October 03 SWG released a publish (3 I think) that was really buggy. It caused players houses, vendors, and harvesters to just disappear. I lost everything I owned in the game. My house with all my loot, resources, etc vanished. My vendor was gone containing hundreds of pieces of crafted armor. All 8 of my heavy harvesters just disappeared with tons of resources still inside. SOE responded by deleting my ticket 4 times before they finally sent me a generic response that it was being looked into. he next day SOE changed its policy of allowing 3 trouble tickets per person to only 1.

    I never heard from an in-game csr so I called SOE long distance. The rep told me to just allow my missing items to burn out and then replace them on my own. I told her I had paid 3 months worth of maintenance into my house and several weeks in my harvesters. Did SOE actually expect me to wait that long to play again ??? She told me to try combat out or go explore. I said I am a pistoleer, however I really like crafting. She promptly told me SOE never thought I'd be dumb enough to pay out maintenance so far in advance and hung up !!!

    I then turned in another ticket and waited and waited and waited. After a month went by, I called SOE again and told them that my items had finally burned out, however I was still missing a lot for mining. They told me an in-game csr would fix it shortly. I never heard from one, so I turned in another ticket (they kept deleting them). This went on for 4 months when finally out of nowhere a csr spawned in front of me, didnt say a word, warped me to my house and told me to remove everything. He redeeded my house and the issue was fixed.

    I asked him about some compensation for 1.) the time I lost NOT being able to mine waiting on things to burn out   2.) lost armor on vendor   3.) millions of lost resources by having a missing lot. He said SOE doesnt reimburse anyone ever. I then jokingly asked for an apology for taking 4 months. He got angry and told me to call my congressman and despawned.

    This is just one fine example of how bad customer service is at SOE. Things got so bad on their forums that they actually banned outside people from visiting their boards to read stuff for a while. I guess they didnt want potential customers from reading complaints. SOE also tends to lie to its player base. A dev will post a response to a question one day and months later the story will change. Players will scream "but you said" and SOE will delete the post.

    I have 2 games that had horrible customer service:

    1. Ragnarok Online - I played this game from alpha-end of beta and decided not to continue once they went pay to play because of all the crap I went through with customer service, bots, millions of bugs..(like when my lvl 75 character got disconnected, and when I logged back in she was switched to a lvl 1 noob) oh ya fun :)

    2. SOE star wars galaxies, In my opinion there is no customer service in this game, everytime I have sent in a ticket, I have NEVER gotten any response back from them. For some reason I love the game but the service just sucks.

    There is one thing I left out about Lineage 2, the rampant cybering (sexual chat), my girlfriend (ex now) played she could not take five steps after logging in before someone was asking for a sex chat.

    I agree with all of your comments.... Thats why I quit playing SWG and L2....

     

    My fav mmorpg is Legend of Mir 2....however ever since the company running it started working on a 'new' game.... the CS just seemed to fade away. And now that Legend of Mir 3 is nearly here.... Legend of Mir 2 will crash on Friday nite... and will not dome back online till Monday morning. They literally work like 9-5 mon - fri. if the game crashes after they leave it will not br fixed till the next day.

    Lineage 2, I actually bought adena online just so I could survive the level trend which was a huge mistake. Customer service sucks, GM's really don't speak any english, and there were more chinese players then english and NCsoft never even made an effort to do anything about it. In the end I got my account banned for using a bug on farmers that disabled you and them from recieving loot, got reported enough that was my first offense, then "modifying game content" got me banned as my second offense. I pretty much just quit from there.

    Does Everquest still have the official policy that if you report that your account has been hacked, you will be banned? That was the officially posted word on their website back when I was playing EQ, and always struck me as being the worst CS possible.

    They claimed that if you got hacked, it was because you shared your password. And as that was against the ToS, you got banned.

    sounds about right for the way SOE thinks. Someone else steals your account info and they blame the victim.

    I cant decide between Project Entropia or Star Wars Galaxies for worst customer service.

    Project Entropia requires you to put real cash in to the game to start were they charge a fee.  Then when you wish to withdraw some cash back out, you must withdraw $30 or more which then they charge a fee again.  And of course you are getting charged a fee to move money back and forth by whatever method you are using as well.  (Bye the way they take over 30 days to send your funds back to your account.)  2nd problem with them is, I had a massive error with my character when I notified them it took 3 days to get back to me, and I was basically told to go F*** myself.  Cute huh?

    Starwars Galaxies:  Do they have customer service?  I have played that game for 8 months and have posted several tickets while playing the game.  I have never recieved any kind of notice/email back from them.
