i have had two experiances in the past few months one with mythic and one with swg
the swg problems were actualy solved with csr taking me to several harvestors looking at each one and replacing stock based on visiting said location and what i had run a few days before the "stopage happened"
then mythics nightmare, it seems they have no back up logs or the ablity to check you toon even one day, before like swg did
i was unable to solve my problem in mythic even though been there a long time since game began customer, officer in a large, well respected guild and in the end losing about 6 months of work raid gear. and though i had help from guild in getting some of my items back the experaince with mythic lead to a cancled account
the sad irony of my happening with mythic, happend about the time they "swore they solved hacked account problems"
if they couldn't check logs from just the day before then to me there customer service was useless
the guild web site does allow for screeny shots now of inventory but customer service in mythic said that isn't good enough proof..............
Here's more proof for you Explorer since you seem to need links and screenies. How pathetic is a company that has to resort to banning players because they are forced to gather at starports to have their complaints heard ? These arent newbs that have nothing better to do than whine like you may think. These are hardcore veterans who finally got tired of having their postins deleted and their customer service tickets go ignored. Publish 10 caused quite a few bugs (gee what a surprise) and also upset people because the jedi revamp was little different that previous system. Players postings on the subject reached 177+ pages on one thread and 100+ on several others but I guess its just me holding a grudge against SOE, /sarcasm off
I havent played every single mmorpg ever made but I have tried quite a few. Never ever have I heard of a situation where things got so bad that players actually gathered in one spot to spam a protest. There were literally hundreds of players per server at starports doing this (thousands total). CSR's starting spawning like the gestapo and warping players off to other worlds. I read that one server almost crashed because of it so SOE shut down the server for a bit hoping to disperse players. Has anyone heard of a situation like this cause I sure havent ?
as bad as sony's is, lineage 2 wins hands down, no contest.
L2 is so bad that they dont even have english speak gm's, they are korean who use a translation program to speak to you, which often means that any response you get (if you get one) is either a macro'd response which is automated and usually has nothing to do with your question, or you get a response in completely broken english that often makes no sense. this is not a joke.
to boot, they dont even do meanial tasks, like one time i walked into a house out in the field, for some reason or another the house decided to lift off the ground and i was stuck. it took me 3 gm calls to get moved to the ground because the prior gm's said it was part of the game that i be stuck. Also, the servers crash extremely frequently in l2, probably about 3-6 times p/2days. when a server crashes you lose money if you had just bought something or teleported due to a role back. gm's wont give you the money, or the items or the teleportation back because they say the server crashing isnt l2's fault.
i mean, hands down, the WORST EVER.
some other complaints:
~dont do anything about bots, even the blatant ones
~there is a bug in L2 where if your personal shop goes over 74,000,000adena the things you sell go for 1adena, so scammers get people to sell their stuff for a lot of money, then buy it up for 1adena, this bug is patched in the korean servers, but apparently its legal in the us client.
~several other bugs such as the above are used every day, no gm intervention
~no gm response to racism on the servers at all
this list could go on forever, anyone who is seriously considering playing/buying L2, dont, for the love of god, save yourself the headache, its that bad.
I've played just about every MMORPG out there and so far I've only had to actually use customer service one time. That one occasion was City of Heroes because the download service wasn't working when they offered client download. They responded promptly and had a fix for my problem.
I think that most players are not going to ever need customer service in the course of play so that the one time they do need it, their perception is marred by that single incident if it is bad.
the worst by far was lineage 2, and i had multiple petitions (including, but not limited to, being stuck, some people botting/ksing me, people exploiting, dying because of server crash.) these have all happened a few times, and they were all answered pretty much the same. for the bots and other gameplay related things they just say this should be solved by the players in game(yeah i can stop people from ksing me? or botting?) when i died because of the server crashing, they just tell you it never crashed. and when i was stuck, they didnt do anything for me, i was lucky i had a scroll of escape on me. i have never had this much trouble with any CS on any mmo i have ever played. i probably had the best experiences with everquest from CS. when something happened, item disappearing, getting stuck, dying from crash, etc. they always did something for me.
L2 and SWG are both lacking in the CS depaertment. Horribly lacking to the point of incompetance or just complety not caring. Either way, for companies that size they should be setting the standard for CS, not seeing how far in the whole they can get it. IMO

Lineage 2 was the worst a month ago, the worse ive ever witnessed in 5 or 6 years playin these things...
