PvE is the dark side. PvE is bad, I had some minor doubts about it till I heard people were killing Hero mobs solo by circle strafing them to avoid all their hits. F- programming there.

It's not just content it's the classes, if you want to see how bad pve can get due to pvp balance look no further than AoC. PvE combat in that game felt right, fluid and most of all fun at the launch 3 month later and it's down right horrible, skills that worked well with pve ended up being over powered in pvp and in the end pve is suffering as a result or rebalancing. I guarantee you that when this game launches the nerfs will start and they will hit hard, afterall this game is aimed mostly at the PvPers it's inevitable that PvE class balance will suffer in favour of PvP balance.
Unless something has changed, which it very well could have, Mythic stated that the PvE content is what is changed to suit the player classes and their abilities. So as long as the classes are balanced against each other, in respect to their mirrored classes, the PvE content wouldn't be something to worry about. Helpful or did I miss your point?

If thats the case i'll certainly keep my eyes on the game after it's launched, but I'm unsure. To often devs say one thing end up doing the complete opposite or whats easiest.
To Paintchips: I will say this, if EQ2, Vanguard, or (even better yet) Lord of the Rings Online is more your speed, then you will be better served by their PvE content than the PvE content in WAR. While I enjoyed the PvE elements of those games, they were all 3 missing the PvP enjoyment I received from playing in other games. I do think that WAR provides a good mix of the two play types, but have no doubt the key focus is and will continue to be RvR. It's Mythic's claim to fame as a MMORPG developer, and they are not going to change their favored formula for success just to appease the hardcore PvE players.
I think your best bet is to hold off on trying WAR until someone you personally know and trust gives you their impression of whether the game's content will satisfy your PvE playing needs. Personally, I think that having players in the game that know what they are getting into and enjoy it is better than having a mass crush of people for who the play style doesn't suit their desires. You know what you like, many people are telling you that WAR is not something you will likely enjoy.
I'd rather not sell it to you as something you should play if I think you will not enjoy it. I know that I will enjoy it, and I know why I will enjoy it. Even though I enjoy PvE games, that is not why I or the majority of players will be playing WAR. If you'd like an informal poll try the following:
