well if you want the economy to get more screwed up, higher gas prices and cost of living, pick the bush supporter mc cain. if you want change pick obama. it's pretty much a no brainer who will carry bush's torch and who wont. republicans should be ashamed of themselves for putting that bush supporter up for presidency, but wait republicans don't care about the economy...there rich anyway. and whats all this anderson cooper talk, how about watch CNN period, the only useful channel on cable.
Why Cobra Commander will, of course.

Mne eto nado kak zuby v zadnitse.
I predict that Obama will win, not that I want either candidate to.
Obama is all talk of promises and massive change. He can promise what he likes, and you can blame Bush for all you like, but the President does not have all that much power. Nice scapegoat, sure, but it's denial of reality to blame our country's problems on Bush and to put the responsibility for changing it on Obama. Seems to me more like a hollow slate that his aides form into something rather than a person in and of himself. But people will buy (and already do) his change bullcrap, and so I bet he'll win.
McCain, of course, while moderate for a Republican, still isn't moderate enough for me. I think he'd be smart enough to keep us in this war rather than puling out of it, but I'm not sure of how he'd handle social issues such as gay marriage and the death penalty, both of which I think need a change from quo. If I had to choose between the two, I'd have to choose McCain over Obama.
I wish one of them had the balls to actually follow Paris Hilton's economic plan that she proposed in her retort to McCain's advert, but of course neither will, because it makes too much sense and it's far too logical and moderate for politics.
Luckily, I don't have to choose between the two, because you can write-in, so I'm writing in Dr. Gregory House this coming election.
Off-topic, I know, but that's fun when you can't get WAR off of your mind unless you go off on tangents.

Um, offtopic forums ftw but I'll bite anyway.
Obama.
I'm lower class. I work at a tow truck company making minimal amounts of money. Untill the economy started going downhill I had a decent paying job making furnature for RV's. Simply put, for me personally what Bush has done (or hasnt done however you wanna look at it) doesnt work for me. I have no insurance. Not health, not life nothing because I cant afford it.
I'm not saying Obama will solve all of our problems but the Bush plan isnt working and voting republican is in fact voting for the same ol same ol which is proven not to work.

It was some hick who had said that he would kill Obama were he to become president, and got arrested for it.
Free speech and innocent until proven guilty for sure, when you get in trouble for saying something, but I suppose death threats scare people. I've gotten a few before, and I've never yielded, but meh, I'm an ass.

Secret Service doesn't mess around. You can have your neighbors house searched just by telling them they are counterfeiting US dollars.
Kid i went to school with once burned a picture of a dollar bill on a printing plate in Print Shop... Everyone who took that class ended up having to be interrogated by the Secret Service. There are a handful of things you don't mess around with, Talking about Killing the President is one of them.
I hope Obama wins, but i fear McCain will win and we'll end up fighting real world pvp instead of in games.
Remember, if America needs to draft again, its you 18-27 year olds that are gonna get picked. Thats the generation that should really be paying attention to this election.

Oh aye, of course we're in trouble if we stay in this war. But what haunts me worse than myself and even my friends fighting, even dying, is my and their grandchildren fighting and dying because we weren't willing to.
These militants in the Middle East in general (I'm aware that there are awesome parts and people, as I have quite a few friends from the area, and I know that there are terrorist militants in other parts of the world) seem to be a problem that we can deal with now or later, and it's up to us and our leaders to choose which it is.
Calling it a war on terrorism is dumb, of course, as terrorism will probably always exist and such a war thus cannot be won... but I don't see the inevitability of terrorism as a reason to leave these foes around for my children or their children to deal with.
Ha, OT in an OT thread. Whodathunk?

Think about what you just said. I wont get into the "should we still be in the war" debate. But you yourself in the paragraph admit there will always be terrorism regardless. Why does it matter if its the current ones, or the ones being born when your children and grandchildren are being born.
The real question is, how is each generation going to deal with the problem?
And I agree, OT in an OT thread, funny stuff.

Oh aye, I get the idea. I've just never seen the inevitability of anything wrong with the world as a reason not to fight it.
If we leave the ones around now all nice and alone, they'll have more time to build up easily and unleash even worse destruction later on, see. At least, that makes sense to me. Terrorism will always exist, but that does not mean we have to let it thrive easily.
In fact, it would seem wrong to me to leave it alone because of its inevitability.
If there's any way to deal with terrorists besides fighting them, I'd like it. If it's as I suspect, and the only way to deal is to fight them, maybe some more advanced weapon, or different tactics, could mean less lives lost?
But, who knows what the future holds? I plan the best I can for the worst, but it may be too much, or too little.

I agree completely which is why I am not getting into the "war or no war" debate. Something has to be done regardless. I just hope later generations are smarter than us and can figure out a way to do it without loss of life. Unfortunatly I dont think thats possible.
What a silly poll. Every educated person in America already knows that the elections are rigged. Who we vote for doesn't matter.
Now, if you are asking who I think will be placed in the White House by the government. Then it would be Obama.
