Closed beta players are still under the NDA, so it's not fully lifted.  I'm not complaining about it.  But I am clearing up misconceptions that are being thrown about.

This is a bit confusing. The post by the mmorpg.com staff says something different than the statement on the official warhammer homepage... now whose word has more weight concerning the matter? ;)

Elder Testers are still fully under NDA, regular closed beta testers are not. Closed Beta testers can freely talk about their experiences with the game as well as post screenshots and videos. What more do you ask for?

<shrug>  Sorry about that then.  Apparently the mmorpg staff needs to change their information then.

Why? you ask, because NDA is not lifted on this game and my experiences from beta were deleted because its against NDA, guess mythic don't like the truth being told.

NDA is not liftted only for things that still are in heavy beta testing - so they have to be polished.

EDIT: (Posted to slow and had to go back and add your quote) Not speaking to you directly, but to those that are repeatedly disappointed by games.

Or understand that no game is guaranteed to be perfect or what you expected. It's entertainment. I spend more on movies in a month than on games. I don't see why you guys get so bent over these things. If it puts you out that much, then stop investing your entertainment dollar in pc gaming. Just rent console games and buy the ones you like. Take your $50 and go see a movie and have a good meal or save it and sit at home on gaming forums complaining about how some game company doesn't understand your needs.

Thank goodness you aren't a mod of this site because your fervent attitude shows the bias you would instill on this site through bannings.  To claim an individual is a "troll" just because they post something negative that does not bash the game in anyway, shape, or form, shows your inability to actually understand the proper definition of a "troll".  Please look it up before you actually post again.

The man is right actually... In almost all MMOs NDA is customarily in effect for content that is being under development - WoW does it all the time, for example. Saying that  NDA is not lifted for  WAR is an obvious untruth because NDA for the release game is lifted. His perception of the leveling/endgame process in WAR is dubious as well but it can be tolerated since he might be either genuinely misinformed or just have a different playing style (I had an impression that he spent most of his PW time questing... duh? Is he even aware that you get xp through pvp in WAR? What about "go through tiers and then reset" bit? Did he even watch ANY of the podcasts about the tier structure of the game?)

Intentionally stating untruths on forums in order to provoke a reaction is the very definition of trolling. His misstatements about WAR NDA do fall within that definition.

This is a pretty redundant post.

Chronicles of spellbourne is vapoware. I didnt think the fallout series was mmo. Ryzoms business model appears to be the 'money tree' approach, asin thats whats paying for the servers right now.

Getting trusted with Elder tester, bragging about it and getting a warning? Pwned.

i like how you judge the "Beta" from playing for 3 days. TIER ONE IS THE STARTING ZONE, OF COURSE IT'S LINEAR. the game spreads out into huge epic size areas once you get into tier 3 and 4. i can imagine you will feel silly from saying it was linear if you reached the upper tiers.

I like Mythic and I am not trolling.  Mark my words though, this game isn't going to offer enough different from what people are already playing to stick around.  The RvR is not going to be different enough to make the game stand out.  Yea, it will probably be better PvP than most games; but it want be enough by itself.

I think you're overlooking a lot of reasons people play MMOs and play new MMOs.

It's a chance to establish yourself in a new world from the beginning, carrying with you all the experience (for many) that you've gained from other games. Having learned from the mistakes you've made in the past and ready to make new ones.

I've played a lot of games and I think that I've found in Warhammer a game which I can call home. Only time will tell if that is the reality of it though.

There's no way this game is going to fail in the same way at (or shortly after) launch in the same way as Age of Conan and Vanguard to name a couple of well known examples.

    I agree, it want fail...

I didn't mean that at all by the post.  Mainly I think it will start off good and may even reach like 850,000 to 1mil.  I'd say within 6 months they will have subs around the 450,000 to 600,000.  So that is by no means a failure.  I just have seen some people throwing around this 1mil number a couple of times, which seems a bit high after the initial cool factor wears off.

Hopefully it will be enough enjoyment to last until the next game...
