what do you think of war so far?
so far imo the game is fun. iv only got to rank 8-9 on a few classes so i cant say mush. but the game is fun.
my only problem with the game is that it seems a little clutterd, maybe i need to play around with the UI a bit, but thats no biggy. also waiting lines for scenarioas take a little long but thats because the servers have only been upf for a few hours

Above average. Very fun game, bought it, can't wait for the game to go into retail. However, it's not the best game out to date, but pretty damn close to my gameplay liking.
You forgot to add the option "I can't even freaking register"
Best MMO I have played for years now.
Very polished for a beta, which is pretty impressive.

Best MMO I've ever played. My first MMO was DAoC and WAR is the first MMO since DAoC to hold my interest! And I love it!
With games like AoC, Vanguard, and other failures its hard to rate this game as average. Its surely above those games, but its certainly not what I wanted. I was looking for an in-depth game like DAoC or EQ. There is little depth, imo. Very little customization like in DAoC. The quest are great. The PQs are great. The scenarios are OK if you're with people that have a clue. If not, then scenarios plain suck. These aren't like WoW's BG were everyone is doing a free-for-all. You actually have to kill the healer. WoW BG players really need to learn this. I also forgot to mention that the lag is pretty annoying right now.
I would rate this game on par with WoW. I'm still buying the game, but I don't see how I will play it for years like I did EQ and DAoC. I can see myself getting sick of RvR in this game real fast. In fact, I'm pretty sick of it already.

This game is so sweet, I really love the public quests. I did one senario but CTD but it was fun till then lol. Still need to lvl up my guy some more before I head to the RvR lake. LOL I just noticed its almost 10pm man time just flew by. Well I guess its time to grab something to drink and log back in....
yeah. only problem iv had with scenarios atm is the lack of team work. maybe ts just my bad luck..

Yeah I know I kept trying to follow my party but they would just run of in different directions. Then Id get owned by a group of people. But I'm hoping things will get better since there are a lot of people that are new, me being one but at least I'm trying to use some kind of strategy.
So far its been an average MMO experience for me. Everything seems almost exactly the same as all other MMO's out. There are good and bad parts to it.
I do not like the starting areas for your characters. They seem like the starting areas to all Free to play MMO's. Not really immersive, cluttered with clones upon clones and just fetch, fetch, fetch. So far the starting experience feels really generic and uninspired.
The character models are good enough but the ground graphics (includeding foilage) is poor. You walk over mountains and hills and no grass, no trees, its barren. Just a green or brown blob covering the ground. Now some of the areas, more on the order side, seems like the devs spent a little more time on detail. Looks a smudge better.
Combat is slowwwwww. Did i say slow. Auto attack is fine, but this is crazy. So far all the characters i created swing at a very poor pace. Some fights drag out too long. I can understand a system like this in PvP so nobody can one-shot another and fights are more thought out. But i cant handle it.
But in fairness i have not had any crashes and only had small spurts of lag so far. Great performance for me. I run everything on high for "highest quality" and am not experiencing any hickups. The armor graphics and classes are some of the most interesting i have seen. And if i can find a way to not fall asleep at the boring combat, barren lands, typical quests and lack of storyline maybe i can find the gem of this game later. Hopefully i can pull my body through the game far enough to maybe have some fun.

SO far I am totally amazed. this is the best mmorpg game i have ever played and a breath of fresh air from wow. I plan to be playing this one for many years. I love the squig herder! I havnt laged at all or crashed and registration went smooth. Lag free and no crashes in beta is impressive. I am running the spec below if anyone thats lagging or crashing is curious.

Yeah..... I actually found more teamwork going on in the public quests, well atleast the 2nd chapter of the Greenskins. I've been doing pretty decent at those.
I'm happy with the game. RVR is addictive.
Technical wise, I've had a couple of crashes, but otherwise it's been very, very smooth.
Waiting for Fallen Earth, World of Darkness, Old Republic, FFXIV
Hmm, you do understand that the game might as well not have auto-attack right? They've set it up so that you never sit and wait. yes, at low levels you spam a single skill over and over. But it's not like WoW, where you initiate a skill, watch auto-attack for a while and then click again. Every 1.5s you should be pushing a button (you can click your next skill .5s before the global cooldown is up as a kind of preemptive choice), and when you get a lot of skills, there are loads of options. But I agree, auto-attack is slow, but it's also completely useless as I've NEVER been in a situation where I didn't have a skill to use.
And once you get into PvP, it adds a whole new demention to it. Because I clearly remember, at lvl 51 (the highest I could force myself to go) in WoW, STILL relying on 'white' damage. Whereas in WAR, I COMPLETELY rely on using skills whenever possible and using the right skills. In PvP or PvE.
In conclusion, forget that auto-attack exists!!
Time out. hold up wait a minute put a little more wording in it, LOL.
Seriously, what are scenarios on here? I've done RVR, partied with a few people and hit a few quests (BTW LOVE THE FACT THAT QUESTS ARE SHOWN ON MAP, SO MUCH EASIER. THIS GAME DEF. IS MORE SO FOR THE CASUAL GAMER, PLUS ITS PVP +++), and I've done party quests. What are scenarios?
Time flew by. I played from 5pm to 11:30 and I took a piss in between after eating a bologne sandwitch, LOL...light dinner...was just so involved in the game, ahaha. Seriously, time flew. Hopefully I learn alot this week and prepare myself for the head start.

Scenarios = Instanced RvR. Like Battlegronds in WoW.
Open RvR happens when someone is flagged for RvR in the open PvE world, or in the specified RvR areas in each tier.
I really did not like the Greenskin vs Dwarfs scenario. To me if it is too small, not a lot of room to wiggle around. I went to the Empire vs Chaos. That is good scenario to play.
Yeah PQs, I see alot of teamwork, when there are people in area. In scenarios I seen Order/Destruction Zerging to one place to another and no one defends their caps. Like WoW all over again.
Funny thing I seen so far, a guild sign up for a scenario as a group, against an unorganize team and the guild got rolled. I thought that was funny.
Titles are so funny at times when you unlock them, "The Pirate"(looted 200 items) is the title I will never change.
I am currently "The Zapped". LOL, the titles are wonderful.

You make it sound like "skill spamming" is a good thing.
In War - Victory.
In Peace - Vigilance.
In Death - Sacrifice.

See I've got so much to learn. Ok, I know about party quests, questing solo, and the only PVP I know of AT THE MOMENT that I've done is RVR which is clicking and joining and taking over the 3 locations....which is the battlegrounds I assume...
I know there are sieges but that's for later on...and I head there are areas where you can take over towns/castles and burn them down and crap...but I don't know where or what the hell it is.
I wonder how "instances" are on here, which I think are dungeons right? and what about open world pvp? no? isn't that what rvr is to some extent? maybe I don't understand the damn rvr system...just too much to remember all at once, it'll come to me haha....probably all becomes very simple within the week of actually playing those areas of the game.
