WAR "failed" the second they decided to use PunkBuster in it - period. Everything else after that point pales in comparison to that horrific decision.
Moving that god awful piece of code into the MMO genre will destroy any hopes the game ever had of succeeding - especially once the Everbalance team starts using it to their own favor like they have with BF2 and BF2142.

People like you have completely skewed my opinion of European gamers over the last 48 hours. Stop whining about not getting your free cookie two weeks early, your starting to sound like an American.
How about we stop generalizing by race altogether, it is getting seriously old. If you want to generalize put people into categories such as hardcore gamer, casual gamer. Each of those two have their share of whiners/trolls.
I am so sick of hearing American this.. American that. The problems you claim are always American are ever present in each and every dang country on this Earth.
When did "American" become a race?
Wrong a sub-species
Kinda like how theres not only 1 type of Monkey or Gorilla. Applies to Humans too, we are animals.
Nope, still wrong.
Nope i will say im not wrong. Evolution changes people because of their environment.
Love how our europian brethren cry foul when an American product turns out to be slightly problematic when exported to europe. WAR would fail if it failed on the home front, where it's main market is... North America. Europe just has to be patient while the product goes through the export process, thats all. Like most other products on the market, be it movies or gadgets or games or whatnot. Same goes for Europe products being exported to North America.. no doubt if Darkfall ever came out us north americans would have our own export issues to deal with, to give an example.
Sorry but I dissagree there mate, the IP is a British property and its main fan base is in Europe. The game may have been made in the US but its a much bigger deal over here than in the US. People in europe grew up with Warhammer and Warhammer 40k. The fan base over here with all Europeans combined is bigger than the US market. If it fails here it fails in the US, simple as that. With only prob half the subscriber base in the US if it dont take here then it fades away to be another almost WoW killer.
Personally I'm having a blast and think the game will be a big hit, no WoW killer but amongst the top 5 MMO's out there. Everyone needs to hope that the games launch over here goes well because there are a lot of Warhammer fans over here waiting to see how this pans out.
Random thought, though yes Games Workshop is based in the UK... you realize... us "stupid" americans have been playing just as long, and the manufacturing/production for most of the models comes out of Memphis here in the US... right?
No ones calling you stupid mate, and I've been playing Warhammer since the mid 80's. Chip on your shoulder much?
Failed? Ok first of it hasn't even released... what kind of a ridiculous assumption is that? Secondly, I think it's a great game, and RvR is freakishly fun for me. With a few fixes here and there this game will really shine.
Beyond that... again goes back to the play factor and the long term play factor... most MMO's take a few years to actually generate profit... Do you see yourself playing WAR for the next 5 years? as an example.
Well, having only gotten up to rank 8, I have no idea what to expect for the future. I have no experience with end-game content so at this point I have no idea how long I see my self playing WAR. Because really, it all comes down to how the game is after you've reached max rank. So we'll see.

Jup, wont be playing the europe servers pure and alone because of GOA. Will try to get my hands on US keys and access like I did with DAOC.
