If everyone on a server is Destruction, who are you gonna fight? Your self? You have no idea how boring it is to have nobody to fight.
they cold pay people to play order
...Actually... if there was a system that rewarded people for rolling the low side ( xp bonus, loot bonus, something small )... it would work out pretty well..
I know you meant that as a joke but in all honesty, not a bad idea.
theres a video of someone talking about this. They are going to give pve bonuses to the lower population side as an incentive to help them out and get to the level cap quicker. They might do it to sway people over to order also.

After this initial success (sales wise). They should have plenty of funding to open up more servers. I know people dont like to wait but before you open up more servers you need to know you're getting enough players.
Ya but they cant just keep opening up new servers to handle everyone who wants to play destruction. The game will be pointless if every server has chaos maxed out and order has no one. The game would not be fun at all unless you are just a loot whore and dont care about actually having good gameplay. It seems to me they already need to start announcing that they are gonna give order exp bonus and whatever else they said they were gonna do to try to balance things out more.
True, maybe a system that would allow extra NPC's to help you out in scenarios/RvR?
Dogs of War/Mercenaries or something.
At one point I think they did mention something about potentially adjusting NPCs at keeps to help with balancing issues. I don't know however if they are still planning on doing that. Also however it is completely differnent playing against a real person as opposed to an NPC. The whole point of the RvR system as well is that you will be playing against other players in a completely dynamic system. If they did add NPCs to balance things people always find a way to bug them or glitch them so they dont have to fight them.
They have plenty of servers, they just opened them with lower caps so that people spread out while still leaving room for the se/regular folks to join their guildies
Server I rolled on went from 200+ person queue to 0 queue in a matter of hours, after the initial rush, etc
Well as of right now there are not any queues, for any of the servers. Yesterday there were queues because people were excited to login and reserves their names, etc.
Keep in mind that they were capping the server populatons to try and spread everyone out over all the servers. They have since been raising the caps.

I want to say: "Horrendous login queues? The price of evil is great, indeed!"
But, I don't think they've bumped the caps all the way up to the maximum yet, and they'll probably bring up more servers. In the long run, we're probably looking at a population advantage for Destruction, and a login queue is the price you pay for that.
This is what happens when you sell 1.5million preorders.

To have a PREorder, you would have to have sold to a customer.

What would really help with login queues is a BAD ASS order class that would come out in a few months. Since you can't play both order and destruction on one server, people might pick the weaker side (order) and start a character.
And, for the record, I still think the Chosen is OP'd..

Either way you look at it those copies have been sold. They may not be in the hands of a gamer but the stores had to buy them to receive them.
Sounds like fuzzy fanboy logic, in my opinion.
Oh so now what? Your going to say the store was "given" the copies on some honor policy? Look at it however you want, money was transfer and it is in Mythics pockets. If you don't like it the WoW boards are over -------->.

Oh come on, don't be such a crybaby. Playing Order can't be that bad. At least roll an Order player for those times where you don't have time to sit in a queue. Sorry you can't always get what you want, but I think better gameplay is more important than making every single player get exactly what they want every time.
Just think of switching to order like being anorexic. You may not want to eat, but if you don't, eventually you will die. I wanted to play Destruction as well, but will be making Order characters first so that I don't have to wait to play. At the very least I am learning my future enemies' abilities and will know their strenghts and weaknesses when I am able to switch over.

That is exacly what I'am going to do ^^. If High Elf females were pretty (as one in trailer at least) I would stick with Order. I might try Witch Hunter, or Shadow Warrior. I wanted to play as Sorcerer or Witch Elf.

yeah will be incredible fun for everyone when they open the 1000th server were edstruction is marked to win because they outnumber order 20:1
i guess thats what you unleash a rvr game where everyone wants to be the badass
maybe its just me but in around 50 scenarios i did today at least 2:3rd were won by destro,
its the 2nd day and i alreaddy cant wait till ppl have enough of order loosing and step into the destro quueue in a few weeks
Thats what everyone gets for always associating "evil" for badassedness...lol..
Even if they would have made both sides use the same classes all the way around, everyone would wanna go destruction.. Its in every game with a clearly defined "good" and "bad" side.. But im all for the underdogs :-).. My contribution has a chance of actually being noticed..

so i started on server badlands...bad move it filled up quick.....2 hour queues moved to the low pop server with a dumb name lol Sea of Claws....guess what full now 1h:30 min queue times ok.....they opened up a new server Vortex, rolled on that one....today i come home during lunch...1h queue time... the same thing will happen during SE launch and retail launch...they start off low and become full hour long queue times.... no matter what you do, if you wanna play destro....youre screwed just roll order? well i like the Zealot class alot...but their mirror runepriest? ummm uggh i just cant do it i wouldnt enjoy the game. not to mention why should i be forced to roll order to enjoy the game? pretty crappy launch so far for destro players
Yes kazson, I actually brought this up this past spring. I had a feeling destruction was going to be over-populated and yep many will be forced to play a faction they didn't want to begin with.
This may anger many, but who knows it could also blow over after a month or so. It just seems apparent to me that this is the draw back at present with this mmo.
I wish you all the luck on finding a server that will allow you the freedom to choose...
All I want is the truth Just gimme some truth John Lennon
There is no play advantage for the Destruction classes. Balance wise, nor play style wise.
Playing Order, you have the advantage of shorter or no queues signing into the servers and you will be able to level up Realm Rank much quicker due to much shorter Scenario waits.
It seems too many people prefer to "follow the herd" and/or have been influenced by efforts to make the Order races seem "uncool".
You are playing a game. It's just as fun from either side. I find it just a little humorous that people would chose to play on a side with such a huge negative as the queue issues, then complain about the consequences of their choices.
No one is making people play Destruction. No one is making people play Order. You know the pros and cons. That for so many people not playing the "uncool side" is more important than their ability to actually play the game with out long queues is really a bit odd in my book.

Could someone clarify, are we talking about scenario queues or login queues?

They will probably just nerf some of the classes in destro or enhance the classes in order. After all Good should always win anyway :P

log in queues

Server I rolled on went from 200+ person queue to 0 queue in a matter of hours, after the initial rush, etc
can still play Destro on some servers
I started playing Greenskin yesterday, 1 hour after the Head Start began
- I had * zero* wait times, despite logging in a few times yesterday
just tried my server again and still no wait times for playing Greenskin
(sorry not going to say which Core server cuz i dont want to jinx myself )

My goal during SE Headstart is simply to create my character stable, reserve my names.
If I can then play, well that's a bonus.
But really, just going to get on, create a full set of my 8 favorite Order classes.
Then, move to a different server and create 8 of my favorite Chaos classes.
Maybe move to two other servers and do the final 2 & 2.
That is if we are not restricted to 8 total across all servers.
Then, it would be 4 & 4.
But that would be a tough choice.
Good Hunting

So I was letting him know that as of the time I was posting there were no queues fro any of the servers.

They could have avoided this problem if they made Order classes that have the same 'cool' factor as the destruction ones.
Oh well. They were warned.
Unfortunately I still plan to roll Dest cause I like the Magus - least played class and most OP if you know what you're doing.
