Prepare for a brand new mmorpg experience. A suprise announcment today on Fox News and in the NY Times. This will make EQ2, WoW, anything on the market and upcoming market look like an old Commodore 64 game. Virtual Reality Online. No game specifics of what type of world (fantasy, sci-fi, etc.) were released, however, they did state that you set a limit for the amount of time you would like to play, put on the face shield, sensors, and what they called "output sensors", and jack into the game. Once in the game you become utterly unaware of your outside surroundings and are truely immersed in the virtual reality world.
View is of course first person view, and there is no need to customize an avatar, as the face shield has a camera that displays your face. Bascially movement is done by the user, technically it wasn't explained how. You swing your weapon by well, swinging your weapon. The output sensors as they called them allow you to actually feel an object and interact with it. You have an option to turn on or off the pain sensor, which provides electrical impulses to the brain that allows you to experience actual physical contact. This can mean anything from fighting a battle to holding someones hand, to kissing. If you are still reading this and haven't figured out by now that I am just making shit up, then I point and laugh at you!

I am thinking Vanguard: Saga of Heroes because they are taking the old and new, trying to make the game fun instead of doing tedious and endless grind. You should check out their sites FAQs, I am pretty sure you might expect something good too.
Ryzom is the only one that even holds my interest anymore. Different races, a different world, a sounding-decent storyline, and hot babes. The rest all look like clones of the same old games I've played a hundred times already. Ready for something different, you know?
