I can que up for my server in less than 30 seconds. Dark Crag, level 23 engineer. But this is besides the point. You apparently think MMORPG's should grant you a no grind game, which will never happen. RPG's that are level based atleast will have to have some grind to them. Do you just expect to be granted levels because you look cool? Or because you did some special emote? If you don't want a grind game, dont play rpgs. I bet you can't name one MMORPG that doesn't have grind. If you can, i will download it and prove you wrong.
there is one mmorpg that comes to my mind, Guild wars. but if you can call getting to lvl 20 a grind ? then i laugh at you because it was a breez for me.
What I read from the OP is that he is playing an overpopulated faction on an underpopulated server and is wondering why his queue is never up... Hmmm.
It seems like he tied himself down to the wrong server and unless he is willing to try another, I don't think his experience is going to change. And yes, for the OP's choices, we should definitely demand Jacobs' job.
Yeah, this game is a joke. It's so lame that I'm just... numb. How any so-called RPG players (you know, MMORPG) could actually defend this dumbed down corporate pop-product is just flat-out depressing. The extreemly immature WoW-like community is just the final nail in the coffin of an already moronic so-called "MMORPG." When people pay money for games like WAR, WoW, LOTRO, AOC, EQII, et al. they are literally destroying what an MMORPG is (or... was). Damn. Looks like it's 'game over' for real MMORPG's. RIP
I miss the good ol' days when nerds were actually intelligent.
People will always call for heads and blood.. Even when there is really nothing wrong, we make things wrong just to watch someone hang... Majority of people have minor gripes about this game that can be fixed easily.. But of course, some people have to demand the guys job for a few population issues that will be addressed when people actually start paying to play (which hasn't happened yet for most) which will weed out the people who do not wish to continue playing..
Its okay to dislike a game but why want to destroy a company or demand a guys job because YOU don't like the game?

Well, he lied to thousands of people. That should be reason enough.
And about population issues, WAR will lose about 30% according to a poll here. Yes there are many trolls that probably voted cancel, but also a bigger concentration of fans of the game than the average player I guess, so it kind of compensates, it will be around that figure maybe. That's fewer people around, unless they merge servers of course.

OrionMan is an AoC damage control specialist who lies about other games (including AoC) to make people think that Warhammer is failing when in all reality its a huge success. I guess its jealousy but he cant stand the fact that AoC is a huge failure which will prolly be shut down sometime in the begining of next year and War is by far the better game.
As a fellow Kislev player, I will agree that our population isn't where it needs to be. However, that can be seen as people going to different servers. 55 Servers was too much.

Lol, please tell me you don't still play SWG. And if you're one of those folks who thinks that SWG was one of the best MMO's pre-cu then you're even more of an idiot. Sadly most folks will never realize that World of Warcraft is both a blessing and a curse to MMO's.
First, do NOT cry because you rolled destruction on a server with a lower Order population. That is completely your fault, and you deserve to have to wait.
Second, stop using words like Debacle when describing the WAR release. This game released in a very very solid state. Sure there are issues, and population balance is the biggest of those, but you can't call for firing someone over nothing.
Third, if you are having trouble just swap servers. Honestly it's a world of difference. I play Order on Azazel and I wait maybe a minute for scenario pops. Now granted on destro you'd have to wait a bit longer, but it's probably only like a minute or two more because that server is either med/high order/destruction or high/high depending on the time.
*Edit* Sorry for jumping down your throat a bit, I know I may have come off a bit fanboyish, but your OP was a bit extremist for my tastes.

What? I take it you've never experienced an MMO launch before. MMOs always work like this - you get a big influx of players (in WAR's case a truly massive influx greater than any seen before), and then you've got some people dropping out. 20% is a rather low drop rate for a newly-released MMO, which is not surprising giving WAR's smooth, and (for an MMOG) polished launch. The retention rate is what matters in the long run. I don't know about the US servers, but of the EU servers only a small percentage are low population, although this is hardly a surprise. With such a massive amount of servers as the influx of customers have required, it's not odd that there's a few that go back to Low during the game's early life cycle. And then again, you need Low pop servers to handle new customers coming into the game. World of WarCraft has a few low-pop servers too - you don't see Blizzard complaining. Just let the population settle instead of going around screaming lunacy before the game's even getting started.
Besides it was mentioned as a 20% drop in Xfire. And not nearly everyone uses Xfire. In fact I dont even know one person who does. So those numbers are not very substantial to the overall picture.
It's really a lose-lose situation. If you join a low pop server, then there is little to no lag, but the RvR/Scenarios are pretty much non-existent. If You join a high pop server, there is RvR and Scenarios, but there is likely a queue to get into the game, and the lag is pretty bad - even with these server and client stability upgrades I keep reading about.
Also, even on a high pop server, sometimes scenarios still take a while to get into.
At least a couple of the PQ's have some people in them though. Though the usual empty ones are generally still empty, or have one other.
What a stupid thread. The OP is completely subjective, trying to pass off a personal opinion as fact. Its ok not to like a game, but that does not mean your opinion is everyone’s.
The calling for MJ to be fired, yeah, you need some perspective. Only someone who has no idea how games are made, and thinks making games are easy would say such a thing. It always easer to look at a game, then say something needs improvement, but how about you start from point one, and make a game, that’s the hard part and what they have done very well.

i dunno, i like the game and im still having as much fun, if not more than i did the first week. in my book that deserves a pat on the back. i voted to promote dude, hes has done well sure we all wanted everything they talked about put in the first release, but how many people would rather them push out a bunch of buggy and half finished content? they had historically solid release, especially after the AoC release, did you really expect them to put anything that wasnt near perfict into the game? mabey hes a bad developer but he sure made a solid business decision. Plus we get to look forward to a LOT of almost done content comming out in the near future. with the rate at which they are patching bugs and fixing the little stuff you can bet that the watched the AoC launch and started to panick, they did a great job in releasing a solid game, i think we can thank AoC for that. i dunno why i even respond to flamebait like this
I'm mostly pissed because of all the hype (that I admittedly succumbed to). From what they were promoting to what was delivered are two very different things in my book.

Actually its not even close to the truth. On sept 21st xfire shows 73,246 hours played. 1 week later it shows roughly the same thing 73,390 hours played. Now this week there was a small decline (65044 hours played) but nowhere near 20%. Its actually an 11% decline. Not bad for a game in its first month of release.
I waited a long time for W.A.R to come out. I thought that the open beta show promise, but was a little perplexed with missing four classes (two of which I was really looking forward to) and the utter lack of trade skills- not to mention how they worked. Granted, I bitched about WoW's trade skills- until I played LOTRO- and the way the skills work in W.A.R. I have become a fan of the WoW trade skills again. *sigh*
I was also looking forward to no having to grind. I figured that between PVE, PQs, and RvR, I would have to do little to no grinding. That would be true, if I could ever get into an RvR scenario. I have seen the tier 2 scenario three times since I became level 21, and my tier three guildees have never seen the tier three scenario- even after 30 hours of waiting in queues. After completing upto chap 10 in Chaos, I have also done chap 8-10 in Greenskins, and 8-10 in Dark Elves, and I am STILL level 21. After quitting LOTRO because I spent most of that game farming Yetis for the bonus, I find myself in WAR, once again, farming fucking Yetis because the kill collector gives experience for them
The result of all this is that my already low population server, KIslev, is getting lower. The Guild Master of my guild cleaned out 60 players who had not logged on in over two weeks, which is pretty sad for a game that has been around for only three weeks. I believe we will be clearing out more as there are about 50 people who have not logged on in the past week. People are fleeing this game left and right, which cuts down on the available RvR, which destroys the point, and fun, of the game. When I called customer service to see if I could transfer my toons to a higher population server, I was told that "Was not possible" and that they were "looking for ways to remedy the situation".
I have a remedy: fire Mark Jacobs.
That's right. Fire the incompetent general manager and vice president of Mythic Entertainment who allowed the release an unfinished game, late, with serious flaws and irritating features (20 second send mail delay?) I'm sure that the shareholders have noticed the 30% DROP in stock value since the release of W.A.R. and the fact that the servers are laggy, even with low population, is unacceptable. The higher population servers have a too low of a cap- so the only people who can play are those who don't have school or a job.
Contact EA. Tell them what is going on, and demand accountability. Hold the man who was responsible for this utter debacle accountable and fire Mark Jacobs.
Such a Troll post! if u dont like the game leave and stop moaning..

How do you know these people who are "leaving" aren't just rolling on another more populated server?
Fire Mark Jacobs because you don't like the game... yet thousands of others do? How pretentious!
