I chose this username because Light Yagami said this line as he exposed his real identity to Naomi Misora, another character from the Death Note series. ANyone who watched the series or read the manga knows what I am talking about.

Your turn, what's behind your username?

when I was in Highschool one of my friends moms was crazy ( i mean nuts ) She came home drunk from playing Bingo one night while we were having a pool party over at their house, she starts jumping up and down on the sofa screaming "highway to hell" with the music blaring. Well i walk in to see what the hell was going on and I was wearing a red bikini and she started screaming that I was the devil! lol well after that my friends bought me some blinkin devil horns and  started calling me "lil devils" ,"deviliscious", "devil girl".. and the nicknames just stuck lol. I now have a vast collection of devil horns, blinking ones, sparkly ones,  furry ones.. all kinds. So all of my forum handles and game character names have all been the same nicknames my friends call me.  I still wear my horns out clubbing and to parties

J.R.R. Tolkiens the Simarillion. Finwe was the first High King of the Noldor. The name means skilled one. Kind of an obscure character, but liked the sounding of the name and the meaning behind it, as well as the biography of the character. So I chose it.

I'm not exactly Japanese but I believe kokoro means heart/soul in Japanese. I also like the sound of the word. For the -chin part, I'm not really sure about this but I think it's some sort of endearment pre-fix Japanese use. I think it came from 'chibi' which means 'little' so 'kokoro-chin' can be 'little kokoro' or 'little sister kokoro' or something.

    "Rot! Rot! Rot! Rot!

It's a plot! Plot! Plot! Plot!

"We're the Wickersham brothers. We're on to your plot!

Pretending you're talking to Whos who are not!

    It's a deep-dyed evil political plot

Pretending you're talking to Whos who are not."

In the 1970 TV adaptation of Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who the Wickersham Brothers are blue monkeys that don't believe Horton when he says there's a community of Whos on a speck of dust and suspect him of evil.  They persecute him for it.  However, once they have proof of the Whos existence they are as happy as Horton to let the Whos live.

I understand the movie is less political so the Wickersham brothers are probably mindless jerks with no motive to persecute Horton.  Upon reflection I might need to watch the movie and maybe get a new username...

Tuor, son of Huor, is, like Finwe, a character from JRR Tolkien's 'The Silmarillion'.

I could go into his whole story, but I'll spare you that. Instead I'll just say that if I could be anyone in Tolkien's world (Arda), I'd want to be Tuor. And, if I couldn't be him, I wouldn't mind hanging out with him. I guess in a way he's an inspirational character for me and I've used his name as my nom de plume for a long time now.

An expectation of account name be separate from forum name. Silly me.

Eh? Is it my time to share? Well, I just made up this name, apparently I'm fond of anime's so the kurikura is really a japanesse name. So the -san served as a respect for others. Coz I do believed that giving respect to our co-forumers is a good thing for us to do. We should not disrespect one another and we are all persons with feelings. Am I being so dramatic? Sorry.

I'm just fond of japanesse names so that is the reason behind my display name.

Baff is a derivative of my surname.

I've been called it since school.

I come from a long line of Baff's. It's the name by which most people in my daily life refer to me.

Altairzq = altair zero quatre = altair zero four = fourth planet in Altair system where a kid sends his brother through a magic trick in Stephen King's novel The Tommyknockers.

San is an honourific prefix. Like Mr.

Chan is the feminine form. Like Mrs or Miss (or baby).

Cun is the form that applies to a male child.

    Female children are still Chan.

Teachers and judges, male or female, have their own special honourific, Sensei.

MaskedWeasel isn't my real name, my nick name, or any variation thereof.

When I was younger I was at a summer camp, annnd I had a batman shirt... so for awhile during that time.. and shortly after, I was called batman by people that attended that camp.  (strangely enough theres a girl at work that calls me batman... unrelated to camp..)

Anyway, my close friends felt that since I couldn't and shouldn't be batman and it was already taken I should have a separate alter ego that I use when doing super-heroish things such as... pretty much anything ridiculous we did at that age.

Needless to say, if I'm making an avatar hero, I like using it or variations thereof as my character name.

It wasn't til years later I realized it could also be considered a secondary name for a ferret.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thrakattak I used to blast some of this album outside the front door on halloween. One year I blasted a merzbow collaboration with someone + the title track of thrak on a mix cd for kids coming to our door on halloween. I forget which merzbow collaboration though.

The real reason I keep up with Thrakk is because it sounds like a cool onomotapeia and I like King Crimson.
