I think those adventure games were the best genre ever.

I grew up too late to play adventure games. There was one that I had on the PS1 that I loved, played it so many times it's sad. I can't remember the name... You played as a dragon, and there was one activity where you had to launch a cat at a wall that bothered me so much... Blazing Dragons sounds familiar, anyone else know what I'm talking about?
Grim Fandango was obscured. And I never played it until about a year or so ago, and that was the demo. In fact I've been meaning to order that from Amazon. But when I played it, it brought back the reminesence of old adventure games. Man I loved those old Quest games. Kings Quest, Police Quest. Especially Kings Quest.
Then there was Return to Zork. Monkey Island. Full Throttle. Man I loved those adventure games. They made you think, and they usually had a cool storyline. They've seemed to dissapear into the waters of afterthought, sadly enough. These new generations of gamers seem to just want mindless garble, it's like, "A game...that makes you think? Whahohoho." Although I suppose you still have a little bit of the adventure genre in new RPG's...But it just aint the same.
Gonna miss those games. Although when I get some extra money I'd like to find alot of those old adventure games in their original boxes, with manuals, etc. in pristine condition. Definitely something I'd like to start collecting.

Speaking of adventure games and Zork, you can download Zork 1, 2 and 3 for free now from infocom-if.com. Those games were great. Kings Quest was too.
Dunno why but NCAA Football 2005 is just so dang addictive especailly when you have your friends over and are whoopin up on each other so that's why I picked it over the games like Kings Quest or Zork.
lol that's old school. I still have a set of Kings Quest disks or whatever somewhere in storage...

Frenzy, from back in the day when we had "true arcades" It was the followup to Beserk. Oh wait, Space Invaders was truly classic, but there are so many; Defender, Battle Wings, Section Z, Xevious, Tron, Omega Race, lol I could go on and on...
Chrono Cross. Only RPG I've ever played more than one time through in the same week. Very fun, very good story. Awesome music too, made me a fan of Yasunori Mitsuda.

Yeah i agree , i really loved the game (its one of the only rpgs i played till the end of the game without ever thinking ''im gettin kinda tired of this''. and then i was curious what score it got at gamespot.com , so i checked and it got 10 perfect , it sure deserves it though , its possibly one of the very best rpgs ever made imo. Good gameplay , good story , awesome cast of characters(even though some of them didnt have much to do with the story , who cares? in other rpgs im always like ''damn i wish i couldve had that guy in my party'' and chrono cross lets you do just that I hav 99 stars and im missin 3 characters or something...to lazy to beat it a 4th time though.

This game was one of the best RPGs to date and will remain at the top forever. I was latecomer to the console world, but even I couldn't miss this gem. Another game that I can just pick up and play is Legend of the Dragoon. I've played it probably 5 times all the way through and countless others. I'd be saying this about Crono if it had been my first bu dragoon beat it. You always stick to your first love.

The Dark Queen of Krynn(SSI).
Althought BGs, Civs, EQ and games made by KUEI have a special place as well!
