There is no "best", what do you like to do? What role do you want to fill?

there are classes in rvr that are better than others and there are classes ment for different things. forinstance and stealth class would go up to a guy preform an attack and kill him then run away and stealth again.  and a caster if for range attacks like when a keep is being attacked. and a tank is for going out in the battle field and killing whatever you see.my suggestions for the realms are:

albion: reaver/tank (for lifetap) or a wizard for awesome bolt spells/caster or a friar/healer for amazing damage and buffs and heals

midgaurd- tank-skald you get battle songs and ytou can tank well for the perfect mix. caster- bonedancer you get lifetap and up to 4 pets healer- shaman- dot bolts, buffs, and heals

hibernia- tank- blademaster for 1 reason triple wield at lvl 20 caster- animist or chanter healer- warden you can tank and heal and buff like friar, tank/caster (my favorite hib) a valewalker you get nasty dots and root and lifetap spells and you can tank a yellow with no buffs or spells

sry man i was being stupid and forgot to put down about the stealth classes the ranger/scout/hunter class is always good becuase of stealth and a bow and the nightshade/infi/shadowblade class is for stealth and then you would walk up and perf a guy then do creeping death and tank the rest, but the best of all you get poisions so even if you die your poisions might be able to kill him.

I am mid always been mid. Been that way over 2.5 years.  The class I hate the most in rvr is the sorc.  With the 1750 ae mezz and there baseline lifetap.  Sorcs are the ones that make or break there team with there mezzes.  Everybody knows that a good mezzer.  The battles are short and painful.

same ive always been a mid and sorcs piss me the hell of in higher lvl battle grounds, but if its a low lvl battle ground like lions den they suck and are useless, like with my 45 skald thoton when i see a sorc i use my batle sonfgs and mezz and go to side do style then when they try to cast u run through them so ur out of view, thats the help i can give you and i can pone a 50 sorc like that but wahtever bigx says listen to himimageimage

    Midgard - Skalds or ShadowBlades

    Albion - Sorc or Scout

    Hibernia - Enchanter or Ranger

These are two really good PvP classes, but like it was said..all the classes can be good in PvP if played right..

stealther classes are by far the best classes for PvP.. they get first shot and most of the time last aswell.. if you got good armor and good items.. you can be unstoppable in any stealther class

Many ppl say, try stealther, try caster I say try a Thane... Why?

     1. You got range 1500 Range DD's and AOE DD's you got 1 instant DD (every 20sec) and 1 instant pbaoe (every 20 sec). image

    2. You got Chain armor and can choose Sword,Axe or hammer styles for close combat. image

If u play Thanes the rightway they can be very powerful, but you will have to play it right otherwise u will get frustrated.. image

Hah yeah...i love thanes...I had a thane as my first 50 way back in the day, but i sold the account so i could pay rent (lol) ..thanes are fun to play if played right.

Just as said, there is no best class for PvP.

Altho, if your the lonewolf-type, then Shadowblade, Infil or NightShade is defently the best way to go.

I've played all 3 of them, and NS is defently my favourite, they pwn the most imho ^^

If your more of a group person, then a mezzer is defently a good way to go.

and as said earlier in the post, Sorcs are amazing for that ;)

especially if you group up with Spirit Cabbys, since they can throw 50% debuffs for the sorcs basic lifetap spell, uber nuking :)

(haven't played daoc for a few months, so something of this might have been changed tho, but atleast this was the case when I was playing last :D)
