DF graphics are easily better than LOTRO and , with dx10 especially, are not better than AoC. But then again AoC is a joke and im glad the DF devs know how to develop a game and arent pushing for super uber graphics and instead are appealing to the people who value gameplay over eyecandy.
Way too much nonsense was developed from the gameplay video which obviously did not show the quality that the DF graphics really have. Some of the screenshots, oh and the beta reviews which are now even more real, makes the graphics mmmm mmmmm goood.

I dunno. Based on the preview that I saw earlier this year, I would put Darkfalls graphics comparable to AC or something. They simply look outdated, as has been stated. I wouldn't put them up as an example of cutting edge by any means.

You have to understand that graphics looks different in different settings on your computer. We have been informed that what we seen before isnt top of the notch performance of the Darkfall graphics in any way. They had low and medium settings on the gameplay video and other videos.
We been informed by Tasos, a guy that been nothing but truthful it seems to us fans all the time, that the ingame graphic is better then what we seen on the screenshots we seen.
Take this screenie and imagine it a bit better on screen then you have graphics better then Lotro and Age of Conan, at least to me -

But anyways lets not get carried away here. The game is going to be awsome. Don't over due it with the hype. Trying to push it as having better graphics than AoC or Lotro is a bit over board. Like I said. It looks friggn fantastic but not better than.....

Well for those judging by the newest screenies, there done on default settings and we can clearly see from other screenies they don't represent the actual quality. With that said though...........
DarkFall is definetly better than LoTR, Chars and eviroment.
DarkFall has better Enviroments than AoC but I still think AoC has better Char models.
The ground, the sky, the tree's every piece of terrain in DarkFall just looks leaps and bounds better than any other MMO. The Char models aren't the best but they are decent. You can definetly tell most of the time and resources went into the enviroment. All in all I would say it is on Par with AoC because one has awsome enviroments and the other has awsome char models. The DarkFall char models look on par with AoC enviroment and the AoC Char models look on par with DarkFall eviroments.

I think you should be very careful downtalking Darkfall graphics before you seen it onscreen yourself.

Yes, I remember another game that had those very same proclamations. Yet, somehow, it too fell by the wayside.
We shall see when the game comes out whether or not it is any good. Hell, the game hasn't even entered beta yet and as you /should/ know, graphics are not what make a game. It's the gameplay and the environment the game creates. Left 4 Dead is the latest example of this.

Graphic style is something very personal. I love the dark and gothic graphics of Darkfall. Havent seen one MMORPG thats even close to Darkfall class regarding graphic style. To me Darkfall graphic style have a soul when other games is just plastic.
LOTRO graphics are pretty decent, but getting older.
I don't know how the hell anyone who has played AoC can say that game had good graphics...I played it on max settings and only some textures were pretty good...most of it sucked.

The effects are really great: someone could hide behind a tree and you could find him by noticing his shadow on the ground, or you could find the position of an enemy hidden by the darkness thanks to the reflex of the moonlight on his armor plate.
The weather changes too and this is an element which greatly have influence on the gameplay: an army can decide to wait a foggy day to score a powerful attack, or the sound of the rain could mask the steps of an assassin behind you.
