MO devs should seriously look into renting a lisence for StacklessIO from CCP, crazy stuff and needed for games like these...come to think of it, DFO could really benefit from it too if it is even possible to incorporate it into the game server(s)

Epic messed up more than just that in GoW2. It lags every few matches like crazy, the chainsaw doesnt get knocked back easy enough, and the A button doesnt work right all the time. I love GoW2, but they really did drop the ball with the problems.
From the little we know due to the FAQ, an 'in game' video and a screenshot, I can't help but feel this game is like a 'professional' version of Darkfall. I'm not knocking Darkfall per-se, that game is trying to do some VERY ambitious things and I hope all goes well for it, but I can't seem to shake the feeling that Mortal Online will have tremendously more polish and gloriously beautiful scenery. I will definitely keep an eye out for this game.

How on earth can you know that? Do you know which features DF will have in its final realease? Do you know if these features will work well or even be fun? Have you got clue about all the features MO will deliver? No you don't. Because they haven't released that much information to the public.
As for DF having a larger following. Well what do you expect? Look how Aventurine has handled their marketing, they've promoted the game for a long time. I can't even remember how long ago Forumfall was opened.
MO on the other hand opened their forums in April this year, they have done almost no advertizing and promoting at all. Their marketing strategy is vastly different from Aventurines. They choose to keep things under wraps and not promise anythng that they can't deliver. This is the main reason there is so little official info about the game.

But df will release sooner, and already taken a large part of the people interested in FFA full loot. Then MO also has better graphics wich will cut down the users even more because alot of people wont have gtx 260+ with 6gb ram computers. (asuming df is actualy doing good/ok)

Im not a fan of the Deva and soul thing wich MO will have, but i do hope its a good game. Only time will tell, MO will need to make sure it doesnt lag because of the engine they used and graphics (unreal engine aint exactly made for mmo's)

Yeah, but stil UE3 is really nice to get the graphics high and good, but "without" you needing the latest gfx cards and cpu's..

this it bogs my mind that I'm battling trolls and "skeptics" at the DF forums but everyone has an incredibly sunshine and flowers outlook on MO...
Yeah and the biggest thing holding back MO is the demanding graphics (yes you can use UE3 for MMOs but don't expect half the potential customers to run it without it looking like crap... and don't expect anything larger than medium sized battles), if they conquer that, all they need to do is hope DF fails, then they will be sucessful... if one of the two happens, they will have a mediocre following, but if BOTH happen they will have a strong following.
I'm hoping that MO is going to be more for RP PvPers then DF witch just looks like its going to be a gankfest. I prefer some style in my PvP. Running around kill player's or npc's for that matter, for no reason gets olde very quick ! I'm liking the rich background story that MO is offering the grafics are looking good, though I get the feeling we'll pay for that with less content. Like AoC. Not Good !

Anyone who says that The UE3 isn't for MMO's doesn't know WTF they are talking about. The difference between UE2, and UE3 is EXACTLY THAT! UE3 is utilized to be able to render hundreds of models on one screen at a time at about the same load as UE2, with 10% of the models; more advanced lighting effects, and a few other eye candy upgrades. Google UE3 Presentation, check it out on Youtube.
UE3 will make some of the best MMO's over then next 5 years. Its expensive to have the rights to UE3, but would cut production time down by as much as half. Some of the best games out, are built by this engine, or its predecessor.
