OP, if you are crazy I'm more crazy than you because I've just ordered the game
Hey, I can totally understand this. It's much easier to deal with the emotional break-up issues if you already know the person you've decide to have a relationship with is going to die in a few months. Yeah, that sounds sick, but there is some true to it.
Ok so I tried going back to WOW and well maybe it just isn't for me and that is ok. I tried WAR and well that didn't go so well either. I tried AOC at launch and like most here on the forums I think it was a bit of a downer with all the bugs. For the past several months AOC has put out some patches to correct alot of issues with the game and also added some pvp and pve content updates. Yes I would be the first to say that the game still needs more work but out of the newer mmos released this year AOC still holds more promise than most. So call me crazy, I'm giving AOC another go but this time I am going in with less expectations and just being concerned with just having fun.
What do you find more promising about AoC than most?

Well I think when you have a game that can only get better is a plus for the players. The character classes are fun to play such as a Herald of Xolti or bear Shaman. The lore of the game is actually pretty big and there can be a ton of things Funcom can expand on for the players. Granted there has not been alot of innovation this year from most games but the combo system was probably the best this year.
Again I'm not saying this game is the greatest of all time here but I think as long as Funcom keeps fixing the issues which they have been and keep adding content I think they can build a pretty decent fanbase over time.
I think if people can forgive Blizzard after a horrendous WOW launch that people can actually forgive Funcom and try to add some hope to the game. I know that probably will not happen because people are pretty biased toards them but no company is perfect.

The only thing wrong with the wow launch was that they simply could not get servers online fast enough. People were mad because they could not play the game they desperately wanted to play.
Please dont try to rewrite history on the fly. This games launch and Wows are two totally different things. Wow grew and grew and grew and well that didnt happen here. In fact the opposite happened. 55 in may stock at under 3 today.

Well wouldn't you think that the inability of getting servers online at launch would be considered a major issue ? Or maybe the huge amout of lag players experienced during gameplay, or maybe people couldn't even pick up items when loot dropped. or perhaps even today mobs in WOW still get stuck on rocks and some even glide across your screen ? WOW for over 4 years has been one of the most buggiest games to date but yet people still play it. I'm not saying Funcoms hould be excused for anything but clearly it seems it is ok for one company to have issues and make it ok but fot other companies it is not ok ? Sounds pretty biased to me. Unless you own stock in Funcom who really looks or even cares how much the stock price is ? As a gamer all I care about is making sure the game I play is fun.

The poster you replied to is a WOW player by posthistory (of the kind that post derogatory comments in WAR, AoC, LotRO and other games... for whatever reason MMOers do it). I would not take it to serious.

AoC dead in a few months? Yeah, I doubt it too.
