It appears Claus has the same status he had before? Or perhaps you have a different analysis of what you posted there?
Accept for the for Spiridon Iordanis being listed above him and Anastasios Flampouras is Tasos.
And of course ................"Tasos and Jade El Mehdawi took over razorwax. They were new large investors."
Yes, I agree with that.
That's why I said...
"It appears CLAUS has the same status he had before?"
CLAUS... though looks like he occupies the same status he had before, right?
Edit: I see that you mentioned he moved down one spot in those 3 listed below the Director. I guess I was just assuming that was coincidence and didn't really mean anything. As all 3 other's listed are still part of the board. Those other 3 don't have any title associated with their position on the board, so they is would be logical to assume they are equals.
If you are saying that you think the order all the way down is important, on what do you base that? If it's just conjecture... then that's fine, but not really any more valid than my opinion that those 3 are all of equal status.
If Claus truely held the same status he had before (This is of course temporarily ignoring the fact that Jade and Tasos own Aventurine ,controlling share does equate to own) he would in theory be the guy we were getting our info from correct?
Tasos seems to be the one giving us our info, as well it is pretty coincidental that he is listed above Claus.
What reason would there be to list Tasos and Spiridon above Claus since he was an original member?
Alphabetical maybe?

Maybe senority? Wait Claus has been there since Razorwax.
lol sorry point is to people money and status mean a lot, those with the most pull are always listed first and then those listed after go by descending order. This is why debates over a company name when it will have 2 owners names in it happens, the one with the largest stake in the company/firm wins.
Jake and Duke start a law firm, Jake owns 40% of the company Duke owns 60%. Duke would be listed first , the situation reversed, Jake would be listed first. This goes for board member names as well.
It's about as aintiquated as power suits and power ties these days but it is still almost religiously practiced in buisness today.

So then I was correct?
It is just conjecture on your part that the other 3 are listed in order of importance. As I said, that is fine if you have that opinion. It's just that it doesn't mean it is fact.
I am not disagreeing that the CEO, Owner, Director, etc. are indeed above the other 3. But, with regards to the other 3... Their status has not changed. So, if you were one of the 3 before (as CLAUS was) then you are still one of the 3 (as CLAUS is). The status is the same.
That is my opinion on the matter. If you have something that refutes that other than opinion... I'll change my mind. I haven't seen anything that falls into that category yet though.
Again.... just to make it clear.
Chairman of the Board.... no disagreement (NOT CLAUS before... NOT CLAUS after)
Director... no disagreement (NOT CLAUS before.... NOT CLAUS after)
3 other Board members... disagreement (CLAUS member before... CLAUS member after)
I maintain that the order is of no importance since there is no title associated with it, either before or after.
i think they just want to keep the hype level down, i think they want to start small and give their company time to grow in response to the (large) demand.
given the simplicity of updating a website with a new news item, the choice to not update the website can only be deliberate.

What directly refutes this is that Tasos and Jade own Aventurine, Claus does not. While Tasos and Claus both hold the same Title (Director), Claus does not hold the same rank within the company as Tasos.
As I said we would only temporarily ignore the fact that Jade and Tasos own Aventurine lol.
Anastasios Flampouras = Tasos
While Claus does technicaly share the same title, he is not in the same position.
Tasos = Director and joint owner of Aventurine
Claus = Director
I mean Claus durring Razorwax had relatively similar stake in the company compaired to the stake Tasos has in Aventurine.
So I will agree that he has the same title as before, but not the same position or status.
i think they just want to keep the hype level down, i think they want to start small and give their company time to grow in response to the (large) demand.

You are probably right as well, in wanting to start small. I'm not sure they could handle a huge amount of players right off the bat. So, by starting small they can use the money coming in to increase their hardware to handle even more players. Sort of how EvE Online grew.
What directly refutes this is that Tasos and Jade own Aventurine, Claus does not. While Tasos and Claus both hold the same position, Claus does not hold the same rank within the company as Tasos. Why do you keep bringing up Tasos or Jade? Or owners? I AGREE with you on those points... heh. Anyone can clearly see that those changed, and they are ABOVE the other 3 Board members. That part is not a discussion.
ALL I am trying to say is thus:
From what you have shown with that posting of the Board from before and after. There is nothing that shows that CLAUS (and only CLAUS) has a different status with the board now than he had before.
THAT is all I am disagreeing about. NOT Tasos, NOT Jade, NOT anything else...
Those 3 board members (and only those 3... not Chairman, not Director) I maintain is the same before as it is after. CLAUS was a member before, CLAUS is a member after.

Ok lol, But this all started because the debate was about Claus's statements were contradicted by Tasos. My stance was Tasos was now above Claus's head. I guess I am still working from that angle.
So where do we stand on this issue, Tasos is now over Claus's head or he retains the same position and level of Pull within Aventurine as he did with Razorwax? Meaning Who trumps who? Claus Trumps Tasos or Tasos Trumps Claus?

I never disagreed that Tasos is over Claus.
From the very beginning I was only pointing out that:
1) CLAUS' status on the Board appears (to me) to be the same both under Razorwax as it is with Aventurine from that posting of the Board members.
2) The 3 Board members without titles (of which CLAUS is one both before and after) have equal status within the Board. (Again, not TASOS... as he is Director. And not Chairman... just the 3 WITHOUT titles).
3) This is one you were going to get back to me on...
Why did it take Tasos 5 years to indirectly contradict Claus' statement about the length of development?
Claus seems to maintain that they've had an ongoing development since 2001. Tasos' statement seems to say that development started in 2003.
My stance is that I value the opinion of someone who has been with DarkFall since it's very beginning in a garage, and has been instrumental in it's development from the start to the present day. I value that over someone who came onboard in 2003, and is put "in charge" and has become the voice of DarkFall.

In all honesty I can't find anything that would give a reason why.
The engine development and tools to go with the game did indeed begin in 2003, this hasn't been contradicted. Some of the concepts were updated and or taken out in 2003 and up.
I guess it boils down to word play. Can you technicaly say Development started on DarkFall if the engine and the tools weren't even around till after 2003?
Concepts and ideas and art direction and such could be worked on, but without an engine and the tools they developed in 2003 I don't personaly see how they started developing the game yet.
In essence they may both actually be right in ways.
You can take the word of Claus, that is fine. Razorwax did start Development of DarkFall back in 2000/2001, Aventurine wasn't even established until Nov. 2002. In 2003 they developed the engine DarkFall uses as well as the development tools they are using. Without the engine and tools prior to 2003, I will go with Tasos on this. It's the same as MO claiming that the concept started in 2002/3ish yet Development didn't really start in 2005. Not sure if I have those dates correct for MO (Mortal Online) .
Prior to 2003 as well there were only a handful of people working on the project, like 4-5.
What directly refutes this is that Tasos and Jade own Aventurine, Claus does not. While Tasos and Claus both hold the same position, Claus does not hold the same rank within the company as Tasos. But anyway, yeah it's not really that big of a deal. It is just semantics. I'm sure that Tasos does indeed believe that Dev. didn't really start until 2003.
Claus not wanting to discount all the work he had put into the project prior to 2003; is probably justified in maintaining the 2001-00 date.
So yeah, they could indeed both be right.

Anastasios Flampouras = Tasos While Claus does technicaly share the same title, he is not in the same position. Tasos = Director and joint owner of Aventurine Claus = Director I mean Claus durring Razorwax had relatively similar stake in the company compaired to the stake Tasos has in Aventurine. So I will agree that he has the same title as before, but not the same position or status.
I see it this way.
Razorwax designed a game. They got an invest from.. some company.
Aventurine bought the rights to darkfall (the idea and, at the time, the engine) as well as the rest of the crew.
the millions of euros they received as government grant is apparently not enough for them to have a half-decent website...and of course the fanbois will casually shrug this off as a non-essential in the production of their uber mmo that has so far existed only in their minds and in the land of fairies, ogres, etc.

Actually from what you posted there...
Alphabetical maybe?

seems to be not by last names either.

You are probably right as well, in wanting to start small. I'm not sure they could handle a huge amount of players right off the bat. So, by starting small they can use the money coming in to increase their hardware to handle even more players. Sort of how EvE Online grew.
Why do you keep bringing up Tasos or Jade? Or owners? I AGREE with you on those points... heh. Anyone can clearly see that those changed, and they are ABOVE the other 3 Board members. That part is not a discussion.

Why do you keep bringing up Tasos or Jade? Or owners? I AGREE with you on those points... heh. Anyone can clearly see that those changed, and they are ABOVE the other 3 Board members. That part is not a discussion.

Claus being one of them.
Just wanted to close with...
Thanks for keeping the discussion civil. Let's hope some others take a cue from this and realize it's not really that hard to have disagreements with others here and still keep a civil discussion going. I look forward to future discussions as well.

The fact that they treat the official face of this game as an afterthought just shows how incompetent they truly are.
Here we are weeks away from a launch and they still have that site up there that looks like it was built by an 8'th grader.
the millions of euros they received as government grant is apparently not enough for them to have a half-decent website...and of course the fanbois will casually shrug this off as a non-essential in the production of their uber mmo that has so far existed only in their minds and in the land of fairies, ogres, etc.
