Its not pwning order when there is a ratio of 3:1, its called a bunch of 14 year olds who think they are hardcore. Its similar to WoW, they are the type who go rouge class and try to tank aswell as DD and then rage at the healers when they die.
I would rather be in Order if it meant the people there are much friendlier, which they are from my experience.
You can't force people to play one faction over the other, they just won't play, or will choose a different server depending on where their friends go. Destro was marketed better than Order. Destro looks cooler, and there is a WoW factor that played into a lot of people choosing to be the "evil" guys. At the end of the day, if you don't enjoy it, then quit.

What kind of solution is that? So asking for a decent game to be turned into a great game should be outlawed?
Hey SpaceWeed. Man I dont know what to tell you. We told the over and over about this in late July-AUG. I'd log in and you can see destro had like 1200 order 300 and NOTHING was ever done.
And look how long its been and not one word from Myth. All I read and see ingame is.. "screw this I'm going to reroll destro"..
I'll stay Order till I quit this game for good. Mythic is going to have to add a bolster effect for those that are outnumbered, ala Blizzard and their new open PVP zone, or everyone is going to reroll Destruction and this game is going to die.
ORVR was supposed to be end game, but if its just going to be five Destruction to every Order, what sane Order will fight?
I think the bolster effect can be really nice. For example for Lake Wintergrasp in WoW we've had a lot of lip biting battles holding on by the skin of our teeth (rofl attack of a thousand confused proverbs probably) against the low number of allies our server fields in comparison to us. In that sense it works surprisingly great.
However, it also fields a lot of complaints about people who expect to go up against these allies one on one and get their behinds handed to them in a few hits by allies with 10x the power they have. Personally that's no problem for me as I know it's about the siege/tanks and the attack/defence in there much more than the player characters but at least I know that when i leave lake wintergrasp that bolster effect is gone. I'd hate to always be up against that and never be on equal footing with my enemy, that would simply suck imo.
Therefor personally I don't think it's a feasible idea. Noone wants to lose their fights against equal numbers *all the time* simply because the other realm happened to have less players.

There really is no easy and fair solution to creating balance except to make a 3rd team. But something like that isn't going to happen for at least aother full year.
The only other balancing feature is to boost HP for the underdog team based on server ratio. But then the sense of class balance would be lost and every WAR forum would be screaming for all kinds of nerfs from people on different servers with different experiences.
People didn't roll destruction because they were better in 1 vs 1. They roll it because the looks and feel of that side are unique and appeal to rebellious 14 year olds and hardcore tabletop, metal listening, goth players.
all this crying ..QQ much ? and no on badlands server the second most populated server im on order and we pwn destro all day ...even in keep raids....even though they out number us
Last night we made a WB on Darklands server, and we SMASHED destro for almost 6 hours straight. We were doing pure ORVR, so the scenarios we were loosing like 150/500, but in ORVR we owned every cap, including theirs

Of course, one solution would be to make FFA servers like DAOC's Mordred server was, then it wouldn't matter which side a person rolled on.
