Will this be "the final count down"? Or there will be another? This is the question.
Count down started in 2003.
I guess none here was in the last guild beta, that they decided to cancel and not tell any of the guilds about.

Count down started in 2003.
I guess none here was in the last guild beta, that they decided to cancel and not tell any of the guilds about.
We have a date. January 22nd. This is posted everywhere. There was never a date posted before, therefor, you couldn't start a count down thread to that date.

You are incorrect. Do you know how many beta dates were given over the 10 years this game has been in development?
Do you know how many times they have said "Oh the game is done already, we are just polishing it" since 2003 (that was the first time they said it) ?
But, buy all means, count the days. Sorry for the derail.

You are incorrect. Do you know how many beta dates were given over the 10 years this game has been in development?
Do you know how many times they have said "Oh the game is done already, we are just polishing it" since 2003 (that was the first time they said it) ?

there is no point to count down to beta.. considering that it ended like 15 days ago.. LOL.. But seriously..
The only date we have is January 22nd. There is no other DATE.. just a "soon".

I still find it hard to believe that you can go to the main website and not see the release date of a game coming in 3 weeks.
Maybe the current developers haven't mastered the fine art of HTML

Yeah, I knew what you meant... just had to point out that pretty much every site... EXCEPT their own OFFICIAL site has the release date.
The ardent supporters spun that detail like it wasn't a big deal a few days after the date was announced... but now even they aren't sure why it has taken so long.
And no matter how you try and spin it:
When you don't have the Release date for your own game on your OFFICIAL web-site with only 3 weeks left before Release, and almost a month since it's been announced.... THAT is bad.
Will it ultimately impact how the game plays? Nope.
Will it make the difference between DarkFall being a success or failure? Probably not.
IT does speak to the professionalism of the company and the people behind it though. IT does speak to how well they are able to handle details. For me, they get failing marks in that area.
(And before someone says it... THE DEVS DO NOT UPDATE THE WEB-SITE... so it's not taking time away from the game to do it. TASOS just hasn't hired, or asked someone to do it yet... for whatever reason).

I also think that we here at MMORPG.COM have seen the last of Tasos. Unless I've totally mis-read the acrimony between Tasos and Jon Wood... I would be VERY surprised to see another interview from Tasos for this site.

2. Show us the "many beta dates" that where promised, link them if you can. (more than 3 that is, factual dates as in 2009-01-22)

Yeah pretty humerous how you failed to answer with a date.
And im not defending the fail of updating darkfall.com with big falshing signs of gigantous size LAUNCH! - But they did say somewhere that before or during launch they plan to have a new website up. I cba to dig links, and my memory has failed before. Still fail IMO >_>.
Also for 9 years of development, theres been many bumbs in that 9 year road, one wich event mean they moved from was it norway? to greece! - Meh its the result that matters imo. The only ppl that suffers from this are the ones who have nothing else but DF to live for
