I hope it gets pushed back to 2012 so we can correlate its release with the end of the world. Seems fitting based on the over zealous insanity it has generated.

LOL, now i have seen everything. when the fanbois push for longer realse dates and say i hope it wait a few more months . omg we already know the game looks bad, just release it so the pain is over. like a bandaid rip and done, we all can move on..
a thought it's like the friend who has a new girlfriend , but won't let you meet her, then you do and woo ugly.. i see why you took sp long.
Games are expensive to develope because of quests.
If the developer has to provide all the content like in WOW, then they have to program 10,000 quests.
If the player provides the content (wwiionline, planetside, eve online, pre-CU SWG) then the developer just needs to program in the tools (weapons) for the players to use. And where you need 10,000 quests for a quest-content driven game, in wwiionline or planetside you just need 100 or so different tools (weapons) to keep players busy for a decade.
Sandbox games are cheaper to develope then quest-brainless-GRIND-based games.
Really think about it. What cost Blizzard more money to develope? 10,000 quests or a couple instanced PVP battlegrounds?
Will Tasos wait until a week (or less) before Launch to announce a delay? I think almost everyone would agree that IF they are going to delay the release... they know it by now.
So, if they do indeed end up delaying... what would be the reason to wait until the very last moment to do so?
(Remember... they are supposedly wanting LESS hype).

I think Tasos is also thinking about this one very hard now. "We thought maybe we could finish it last night, so was waiting for that, but unfortunately the developer did his own thing and had to undo it."
You know what I'm wondering? What if they have to fire all the devs right after release leaving Tasos to do all the patching? In that hypothetical, is naval combat in or out?

Tasos can do it. Just thinking about it, he makes it happen.
Only problem could be the hype. Hype leaves Tasos defenseless, it's like kryptonite.
I seriously doubt we are 15 days away, and I know you know it.
Umm... well what does all the official information say?
Tasos just gave a TV interview yesterday saying it was Releasing in Europe AND NA on the 25th of February.
So... Given that today is the 10th... that would make Release 15 days away according to Tasos and everything official from Aventurine. Those are the facts as they have been given to us by Aventurine and Tasos.
You aren't suggesting that Tasos is being misleading are you? Or dishonest? Or doesn't have a clue what he is talking about?
Everyone knows how honest and straight-forward he is. He is a breath of fresh air to a dying genre... right?
If this game comes out on the 25th, all the better.
If it doesn't, however, and that Tasos starts dangling a new release date next month or April or May or September, the last thing I want to see is the same fanbois (as have been posting in this thread) saying they're glad to see the game delayed if it isn't ready.
I, too, would like a game to be finished when it releases, as I am tired of the excuse that no MMO is finished at release and that we should count our blessings. However, didn't Tasos say that the game was essentially finished -- back in December? Yet the January release date has come and gone; now the February date is approaching, and nothing seems to indicate it's going to be any different from what happened in January.
Aventurine offered very specific dates, twice in fact if you exclude the more general time frames, has reneged on the first date with nary an explanation, and might be about to do the same for the second. Why did Aventurine offer those dates in the first place, if it had no intent of respecting them (well, the first at least, but I'm predicting the same with the second)?
I think it's time for Aventurine to be held to account, for all they've said and promised over the better part of a decade, and for the way they've treated their "community" over the years. Kinda sad that some of those "community" members are still jumping the gun on Aventurine itself by urging them to let yet another planned release date breeze through without a peep coming from the guys in Athens. Those urging for a further delay are readily providing them with the excuse to ignore yet another line they themselves drew in the sand without ever having to explain themselves to Darkfall followers.

Today is the 3 week mark.
Just 21 days left.
I wonder how much longer the NDA will be up?
Another day gone...
20 days until Release.
I really dont see this game coming out in Febuary. In fact I hope it gets pushed back a few more months at least.
I agree.
Until there is an official announcement saying that though... Feb. 25th, 2009 IS the official Release date.
19 days to go.
The days just keep marching by...
18 days to go until the scheduled Release on the 25th.
i hope it's delayed again because i'm selfish. /i've just broken my arm and i cant play properly for a while.
If you hope that the game is going to be delayed...you will be receiving your wish.
17 days to go until Release.

If its not ready, I'd rather they delay than release and see yet another MMO not reach its full potential subscriber base.
Except.... I think the money is about gone....and like WAR, AOC, a launch is imminent.

16 days to go until Release.

As an aside...
Anyone else see that Tasos did a TV interview in Greece to try and "de-hype" DarkFall?
I seriously doubt we are 15 days away, and I know you know it.

Nope , not there yet.
14 days to go...
Iiii-iiiiiit's.... me!!! *Hooray*
Well... that would lend some creedence to having some issues with partners or publishers or something like that.
Although if they manage to pull off getting Duke Nukem bundled with it... then DarkFall really would be a WoW Killer!
Think you're missing the point of his post. Also what if this game IS Duke Nukem Forever
